  1. I agree, but it's still the best logo they've ever had which is probably why it gets so much (baffling) love. The Canucks need to blow it all up and start from scratch again. But since that logo is so (unbelievably) beloved I don't see them ever being able to escape it. If they found a way to implement Johnny Canuck into some sort of “classic" (but not boringly uninspired) looking jersey, I would be so happy…
  2. Vancouver Canucks stick-in-rink. I hate that crappy, bland, generic logo with a passion.
  3. Too bad ESPN will be talking about deflategate 24/7 tomorrow and they will not give New England credit at all for a well deserved championship.
  4. Yes, in 69 , they were, but in a 19 69 issue of SI, Montreal was preferred for expansion over Buffalo because the NL owners liked the city of Montreal better. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
  5. What if Eric Davis had managed to stay healthy in his Major League Baseball career and hadn't missed so many games to injury? How different would his stats be?
  6. A mechanical-engineer-turned-comedian-turned-actor-playing-a-scientist is discussing the NFL on a news show. Our society has reached the pinnacle of absurdity. But the NFL loves it, because this story has lead the news for the last week, and will only increase the Super Bowl ratings. The only way this game could be any more perfect for the NFL is if it goes to double overtime and one of Katy Perry's boobs falls out during halftime.
  7. Is Bryan Cox wearing number 8? Did this happen in a real game? That's funny that he still signed #51 at the end of his autograph.
  8. That article is so sad I wonder if Phoenix or Carolina personally paid him to write it for them.
  9. I've read many bad articles on Yahoo Sports, but this one takes the cake.
  10. These have already been posted. Most of these have been posted 3-4 times, you just gotta let it go and move on..... No we cant let it go before anyone posts you must read every bit of the 199 pages that is up right now! Is that to much to ask???? Well, to be fair, Namath and Unitas were, like, the first two guys posted in the thread. That was my point. Sure, I'll let it slide if guys from the middle pages were reposted. But guys from the first page? C'mon, man!
  11. Apparently, Peppers wants it three times more than whatever it is you're referring to. The struggle is real.
  12. If the Seals' ineptitude would have prevented them from getting a new arena, here's another WI: What if the Barons would have played in Cleveland instead of in the burbs? I read somewhere that playing in a downtown Cleveland arena may have saved that team. I wonder not only who would replace the Blue Jackets as an expansion team, but also would further expansion happen if the Barons survived?
  13. Sorry, but there's no way that the Scouts and Seals never move. I'm not sure how the Whalers would survive either, since they were a small market team that didn't play in the best of arena. A Southern market team probably replaces the Wild. Mel Swig, the man who took over the Seals around 1974-75, tried to get an arena built in San Fransisco, but the timing was bad (it was during a mayoral election), he didn't get it, and the Seals were moved to Cleveland. If Mel was successful, the Seals may still be in San Fran today. There's no way in a freezing hell that the Seals stay in San Fran. They were a losing team, and its hard to market awfulness as a product.
