  1. My reaction after watching the Chargers punter get absolutely leveled in tonight's game against the Patriots:
  2. Quick question, who wouldn't want an NFL team to play in their city? That last sentence is really stupid.
  3. Gray should be brought back as the underbill color for some MLB teams.
  4. Sorry, but Art Modell had to have the title of worst owner in football. Speaking of expansion, I recently watched A Football Life: Walter Payton on NFL Network and towards the end they talked about how Sweetness, along with a group of other investors, tried to get St. Louis a football team, before the group fell apart and the NFL decided to expand instead to Jacksonville and Carolina. My question is: What would the repercussions have been if St. Louis had been awarded one of those expansion teams? Do the Rams stay in Los Angeles? Do they win a Super Bowl? Does the "Greatest Show on Turf" still come together? Would Mr. Payton have been a good team owner for St. Louis, at least before his health problems set in? Would we view his legacy differently?
  5. I wonder if the WHA merger still happens. It might still happen though, since the Howe trio starred in Hartford*. *It saddens me that Gordie didn't just finish his career as a Red Wing. His 1979-80 season was obviously for publicity.
  6. It wouldn't be. The Rams would be returning home. Or at least a place they called home for nearly 50 years. I'm not worried from a historical standpoint, I'm just unsure of how St. Louis fans would react to losing their team. Maybe we should just put the Cardinals back in St. Louis, and have the Rams move to L.A. 'We', or anyone, can't just 'put' teams back any where. I can be a pretend commissioner, can't I?

  8. I just hope we don't have an ugly situations like the literal overnight move of the Colts to Indianapolis or the downfall of the '95 Browns.
  9. These are three of my favorite alt jerseys of all time, even if they may be BFBS:
  10. Since we can celebrate him going back to the “right” team (Detroit Tigers) , Alan Trammell in the uniform of the Arizona Diamondbacks:
  11. Can I nominate this for post of the day?No. Let me explain how Post of the Day works - You must be invited to the council of 12. Once then you have to propose a vote by writing a handwritten letter to each member of the Council of 12. The 37 member council meets in a secret location 4 days after the postage date on said letter (not Toronto, I'll tell ya that much). From there they each cast yay or nay votes on the proposed post by placing a photo of the new Blue Jays uniforms (yay) or a photo of the new Tampa Bay Buccaneers uniforms (nay) into a box. Chris Creamer himself reads the votes. If 69% (this is an internet message board) of the vote dictates that said post is worthy of PotD then all 19 keyholders must simultaneously turn their matching keys on a second box where a flashdrive holding the png file of the PotD belt is kept. Then it is up to one of the keyholding members to feel like going through the trouble of responding to said post with the image of the belt. Acheiving Council status is very difficult. One way to assure you'll never be on the council is to nominate lame posts for Post of the Day. Nevermind, this is PotD worthy! Quick question, why is a 37 member council known as the Council of 12? Was it originally just 12 guys, and 15 more were added later or something like that? Wouldn't that make it the council of 27 then? *facepalm* Yes, please excuse my bad math. I wasn't really thinking that all the way through.

  13. I agree. Hate the team, love the uniforms. I' mother same way with the Chicago Blackhawks, or as I like to call them, the [censored] -cago Crap-Hawks. You've gotta love rivalries.
  14. Instead, we saw arguably hockey's version of the 1927 Yankees in the form of the 2001-02 Red Wings.
  15. I really like the jerseys worn by Team USA in the 1996 World Cup of Hockey.
  16. Too bad only one out of those two uniforms were discontinued. You should see a doctor because your hate-boner for the Lightning's jerseys has lasted a lot longer than 4 hours. Seriously, this is like the third post you've made today expressing your dislike of their jerseys. I think I overdosed on Hate-Agra. I've unitentionally been a reverse version on PhantomDreamer today.
  17. Both of these uniforms are the best worn by their respective franchises. Yeah, that's right, I'm saying the Nikefied Broncos are better than the classic orange uniforms. Come at me, haters.
  18. Probably to try to start a rivalry with the Red Wings. We all know that didn't quite pan out though
  19. Orlando pretty much chased him out of town. However, for the sake of “What if?”, I'll just say it' said lot more difficult for Kobe and the Lakers to make it to as many Finals as they did, let alone even win those championships. I'm not sure that Shaq wins many championships in Orlando, because there weren't that many “star” players around him besides Penny Hardaway. I believe egos would clash as well, because both Shaq and Penny considered themselves the “leader” of the team (think Shaq vs. Kobe, just with less media attention. I think eventually Shaq would play for someone besides the Magic, cause it's kinda hard to keep superstar players in a relatively small media market.
  20. Too bad only one out of those two uniforms were discontinued.
