  1. I know I've seen that logo before. Years ago. Hve you posted it somewhere before?
  2. I love you for this. Would you be willing to create a realistic hockey template if I provided images ?
  3. I have a digital copy of Adobe Illustrator Classroom in a Book. Teaches you the basics of every tool and function and provides some good practice.
  4. I'm going to do some tweaking (to the logo ) and try to make a very "brahma" version. Sweet! can't wait to see it
  5. Lone Star Brahmas formerly known as the Texas Tornado (tribute to Fort Worth/Texas Brahmas of the CHL) http://www.sportslogos.net/logos/view/506013412014/Lone_Star_Brahmas/2014/Primary_Logo http://www.sportslogos.net/logos/view/8hpphrr4uhubkgysy5mdffmkl/Texas_Brahmas/2007/Primary_Logo
  6. Seems all you did was slap UCONN on some basic font, slap it on a couple generic templates and called it a rebrand. Didn't even bother to name your image files. Just lazy and uninspired. At least make it look like you put some effort into it and spent more than five minutes on it and try again.
  7. Still @ Cotton Bowl... the game is always played during the State Fair of Texas and the Cotton Bowl is right next to the fair grounds. They won't move until the Cotton Bowl is falling down.
  8. One of my instructors had a saying he always told me, "Time spent perfecting is wasting time perfectly." Basically saying that fixating on trying to make everything perfect is a waste of time when much of the time what you already have is good and it'll never feel absolutely perfect which can stifle creativity and blow up deadlines. Helped me get over my perfectionism, mostly.
  9. Or just don't get stuck on and harp on a detail that literally has no bearing on the final product of the design. That's all.
  10. They just don't get it and probably never will. The point is no one should really give a :censored: and it's pretty immature and annoying to play little know-it-all in someone else's thread. If you absolutely feel the need to point out a correction to feel better about yourself, do so respectfully and move on...don't push, get moody, and continue arguing the point to the point of hijacking the thread. Ruins it for everyone because you want to look smart about a subject only a few care about.
  11. Feathers remind me too much like Chicago Blackhawks...and I agree with Loyolaprop on the yellow...Id like to see turquoise or a light blue-green instead. Great start though! For a secondary, maybe try something with a Quetzalcoatl. "To the Aztecs, Quetzalcoatl was, as his name indicates, a feathered serpent, a flying reptile (much like a dragon), who was a boundary-maker (and transgressor) between earth and sky. He was a creator deity having contributed essentially to the creation of Mankind."
  12. That is pretty cold dude. Not gonna lie. Why don't you consider making your own and post it up. Mods, if you please... Didn't mean to step on toes, but if you don't want to finish it out the series, the idea is to good too see it die early.
  13. What he said. Also, add buttoning options if possible. Some jerseys have full buttons, some have a gap for scripting, some only have 3 buttons, some only button down to the chest, and so on. edit** I see you already have the gap. my bad
  14. I put each in pure white as suggested and it's not bad but I definitely prefer the vintage white. A (Vintage/Pure White): B (Vintage/Pure White):
  15. With that as a reference, I can BARELY make out a lion now... Dial down the abstract and you'd probably have something.
  16. um...what, lion? Not to be rude, but is this a joke? I'm trying my damndest to see a lion but all I see is the beginnings of a Olympics logo.
  17. Correctly? As in how? what are you using to unzip it?
  18. 2 revisions - Not sure about Revision "B". C&C please. I'm all for other ideas. Revision A: Revision B:
  19. I like the idea behind this but the Wolves logo pasted on top of the detailed Chicago skyline along with the text makes it a bit busy and overwhelming to look at. It's just too much in one logo. Try making the antennas black, or remove them. Very hard to see unless zoomed in.
  20. What a disappointment. Texas Staters' poor reputation is certainly accurate. I don't blame GP for not wanting to continue after a few TSU, er sorry, TXST fans derailing the thread making a big deal out of a couple of acronyms and division classification. I wouldn't want to either. It sucks for us fans of the series and GP to have a good thing ruined by a few sour apples. I understand if if youre done and will respect your decision, GP, but I really hope you would continue and not let a few ruin it for you. You have a lot of members here that enjoy your concepts and respect you.
  21. I'm new at messing with logos. I was actually worried about it looking to crowded which is why I left a lot of negative space. The stripes didn't look very good rounded out like the football, I'm not too sure what to do with that. I could try extending the stripes to the edges and seeing how that looks or at least diminishing the negative space.
