  1. you know, maybe it isn't political. maybe the fact that New York teams conveniently stopped winning championships the moment I started to seriously care about sports, the Islanders have been eliminated by either Tampa or Carolina in four of the past five years, the Mets have to share a division with The Greatest Franchise In All Of Baseball that wouldn't be able to get their white-flight fans to stop tomahawk chopping if they held them at gunpoint, the Astros have sat on the entire American League (read: the Yankees) for over half a decade, the Knicks are probably about to be shltcanned by an 8-seeded Miami team, etc. etc. isn't political at all. maybe it's just a straight-up personal insult.
  2. yeah man, I'm sure they spend every night crying about it into the two cups they won immediately after.
  3. of course I did, where have you been for the past three or four years?
  4. hey Panthers, I hope Toronto go full New Jack on your ass. how did both 1-seeds lose to Miami teams?
  5. sincerely hope Denver violates whoever wins this series with a Coors bottle.
  6. hey, knicks, there's a difference between not celebrating injuries and not capitalizing on them.
  7. you put it better than I possibly could have without getting banhammered. I really don't think we should be awarding these people with sports franchises just because of how housebroken their local/state governments are.
  8. HEY TAMPA GUESS WHAT? GUESS WHAT??? YOU'RE NOT GOING TO FOUR STRAIGHT CUP FINALS AND YOU NEVER WILL
  9. hence why I think we should do the exact opposite of the play-in tournament and cut the playoffs down to the top 6 teams in each conference. just follow the MLB/NFL bracket.
  10. making the playoffs was frankly more than I expected, so on one hand, I'm content. on the other, I still cannot fathom why sunbelt fans are such spoiled, sore-winner frontrunner brats. frankly, I wish we played Boston. as a SC citizen of ten years, the Carolinas are a cultural shlthole. go to hell. EDIT: upon further research, Carolina are, quite literally, the most reddit team in all of sports.
  11. okay, fine, BFBS haters, you win this one. black pants take this from a 9/10 to like a 2.5/10 all on their own.
  12. speaking of the Leafs, here's one for ya: I like this logo
  13. so this is what having hope feels like, huh? I still feel like it's too early in the Knicks' window, but Boston looks pretty mortal right now. we'll see.
  14. genuinely how do you have the worst possible take on every single thing that ever happens in any sport? it's almost impressive.
  15. maybe he should've considered not letting his team give up four goals in the span of an average pageninetynine song first
  16. just about any of the other options would've been better than Vegas. it's really amazing how hard I've soured on that city over the past five or six years between the standard Sunbelt "People" populace, horrific urban planning, realization that sports betting is genuine pure evil, what the Knights' fanbase has become, and the fact that Fallout: New Vegas was a more accurate prediction of what it'd be like in 50 years than 250. honestly? if I could've picked anywhere for them to move? it'd be Sacramento. hell, you move there and you can basically keep the same fanbase you've already built up.
  17. okay not gonna lie I completely forgot about the road unis on this set, these are pretty sweet
  18. genuinely, have the Cardinals ever had a great uniform? I don't think they have. putting ARIZONA on the front like that certainly isn't great.
  19. The Durham Bulls, Bowling Green Hot Rods, and Charleston RiverDogs - the triple-A, high-A, and single-A affiliates of the Rays respectively - all won back-to-back championships in their respective leagues in 2021 and 2022.
  20. cool I love having no expectations at first only to realize the islanders 100% would've won against a sunbelt team if not for donaghy-tier reffing. nah man that's not a high stick directly in front of your face at all. bang-up job.
  21. I assure you whenever gary retires/dies we're gonna see like five canadian teams win the cup in a row
  22. well personally I think there never should've been an NHL team anywhere south of St. Louis, California notwithstanding
  23. as proven in the past, Playoff Islanders might as well be a completely different team. plus, Barzal's back, so we'll see how much of a difference that makes. definitely think they can give Carolina a run for their money.
