The new Winston-Salem Dash rebrand is a downgrade. I'll take "sneering fastball with deliciously 2000s wordmark" over "ChiSox dress-up but with some purple" any day of the week.

the late '90s-through-2000s trend of complex, some might say "overdesigned" logos with stuff like shading was really good, actually, and should come back. it's most prevalent in college; I'd much rather have this over this, just to provide one example. minimalism blows 90% of the time. also, drop shadows f-cking rule.

imo, this is why wild cards are so important and why any purist boomer who hates them can screw off. because if you don't have wild cards, you have a league where 100+-win teams miss the playoffs entirely. then again, you could also decide playoff teams solely by record. that works, too. i'm not bitter about the 2008 mets at all, why do you ask

Ironically, I think the Fisherman is what makes those jerseys. Seeing them with the normal logo is just... off-putting. It doesn't mesh well with the '90s-tastic design.

The retro trend in hockey sucks. Most of the NHL looked pretty killer in the pre-Edge '00s, there was no reason for everyone to start playing O6 dress-up.

There's nothing wrong with darker shades of green. I don't get this obsession with Kelly green. It's a nice color, but it's not DA BEST EVAH as most people here seem to think.

I absolutely loathe the cuts of modern uniforms. "Sleek" and "aerodynamic" can eat my ass. One of my favorite things about sports uniforms, football and basketball especially, was the baggy look to them. Nike's football templates in particular are godawful; not only do they make most offensive linemen look like lard-asses, but they've effectively ruined the concept of doing anything cool with the sleeves ever, because why bother when the jerseys are basically sleeveless?

The fisherman is better than the Islanders' classic/current logo. Yes, I'm an Islanders fan.
