  1. I'm just happy he's going somewhere that actually gets some goddamn snowfall.
  2. oh don't worry, Edmonton's gonna shoot murder them in the finals
  3. if there's one thing I love, it's frivolous bullshlt. henceforth, I adore this. also orange and pink is a supremely underrated color combo
  4. one example that bugs me in particular is how the Charleston RiverDogs, to this day, use "CSC" as their abbreviation instead of "CHS." there used to be a valid reason for this, considering they and the Charleston (WV) Alley Cats used to both be in the South Atlantic League, but the Alley Cats have been gone for almost two decades. knock it off.
  5. I don't know if SC's resemblance to the Yankees' roads was intentional or not but it looks tremendous either way. love that wordmark.
  6. hey remind me again, didn't you spend the entirety of March Madness complaining about how UConn's title was a foregone conclusion?
  7. I get where you're coming from, but "four Stanley Cups" is three words. "The Stanley Cup four times" is five words. that's probably why.
  8. getting real '94 Sharks vibes from the Kraken. maybe it's just the teal.
  9. stop. please stop. you do this backseat Ideas Guy shtick on every single new expansion/relocation-related concept thread. it pisses people off. you want those concepts done? go commission someone to do them for you. as for the concept itself, I'm a big fan of what seems to be the black-dominant-with-fiesta-accents color scheme. personally, I think Vaqueros would be a really good team name for either San Antonio or Houston (or a minor-league city like El Paso), but Monarchs works well in this instance too.
  10. you know, maybe it isn't political. maybe the fact that New York teams conveniently stopped winning championships the moment I started to seriously care about sports, the Islanders have been eliminated by either Tampa or Carolina in four of the past five years, the Mets have to share a division with The Greatest Franchise In All Of Baseball that wouldn't be able to get their white-flight fans to stop tomahawk chopping if they held them at gunpoint, the Astros have sat on the entire American League (read: the Yankees) for over half a decade, the Knicks are probably about to be shltcanned by an 8-seeded Miami team, etc. etc. isn't political at all. maybe it's just a straight-up personal insult.
  11. yeah man, I'm sure they spend every night crying about it into the two cups they won immediately after.
  12. of course I did, where have you been for the past three or four years?
  13. hey Panthers, I hope Toronto go full New Jack on your ass. how did both 1-seeds lose to Miami teams?
  14. sincerely hope Denver violates whoever wins this series with a Coors bottle.
  15. hey, knicks, there's a difference between not celebrating injuries and not capitalizing on them.
  16. you put it better than I possibly could have without getting banhammered. I really don't think we should be awarding these people with sports franchises just because of how housebroken their local/state governments are.
  17. HEY TAMPA GUESS WHAT? GUESS WHAT??? YOU'RE NOT GOING TO FOUR STRAIGHT CUP FINALS AND YOU NEVER WILL
  18. hence why I think we should do the exact opposite of the play-in tournament and cut the playoffs down to the top 6 teams in each conference. just follow the MLB/NFL bracket.
  19. making the playoffs was frankly more than I expected, so on one hand, I'm content. on the other, I still cannot fathom why sunbelt fans are such spoiled, sore-winner frontrunner brats. frankly, I wish we played Boston. as a SC citizen of ten years, the Carolinas are a cultural shlthole. go to hell. EDIT: upon further research, Carolina are, quite literally, the most reddit team in all of sports.
  20. okay, fine, BFBS haters, you win this one. black pants take this from a 9/10 to like a 2.5/10 all on their own.
  21. speaking of the Leafs, here's one for ya: I like this logo
  22. so this is what having hope feels like, huh? I still feel like it's too early in the Knicks' window, but Boston looks pretty mortal right now. we'll see.
  23. genuinely how do you have the worst possible take on every single thing that ever happens in any sport? it's almost impressive.
