Supposedly dropping Binghamton will move the Brooklyn Cyclones up to AA, so I guess that changes the whole NYC metro area deal with the high minor leagues

The whole thing that confuses me here is that when Staten island and Brooklyn both came around, it was the territorial agreement of NYC and the Yankees and Mets where they both had to have teams in the market to be equal.  If Brooklyn survives and Staten Island does not, I foresee a Yankees rebuttal coming.

Similar but still different. One uniform is black and the other is grey. The Canucks used yellow while the Golden Knights use metallic gold. And last, the Canucks had yellow font on their blacks and VGK uses white font on their greys.

OP wasnt saying they were too similar, it sounds like they were saying what Vegas has couldve been an evolution of the Canucks black and orange identity if it lasted longer.

  3. The two in the Florida State League baffle me a little, well maybe just Daytona.  The Florida Fire Frogs were bought out of their lease after the 2019 season and as of today are currently homeless and haven't publicly announced a new home for 2020.  Daytona on the other hand is one of the better drawing teams attendance-wise, but play in a smaller antiquated stadium.  Could be why, but their affiliates in the past (Cubs and Reds) don't seem to complain.

Daytona and Florida are also (as of 2019) the two teams relatively isolated from the rest (4 teams in Tampa-Lakeland area, 3 in SW Florida, and 3 between St Lucie/Palm Beach.

Actually Marlins wore Teal from 1993-2002 and had a dope Teal batting practice Jersey that needs to be in MLB the Show. In 1995 the Fish abandoned the Away Teal cap with the Black bill in favor of a black one and also began wearing black caps in 1995 and for most of 1996. By 1997 Teal was gone.

As for Cleveland they can also do replicas of the 1975 uniforms as their new permanent set  of course sans the logo on the sleeve.

So for Uniform Changes in 2020:

    Milwaukee and San Diego

    Arizona tweaks their sets

    Cincinnati has a new alternate

    Anyone else getting new alternates?????

I have nothing more than a gut feeling, but I feel like the Rays could be a sleeper for a uniform change.  Logos hopefully remain unchanged but a refresh of the uniforms might be due.

  5. So I've had some time to process the Padres new identity, and I have to say i like the thought that the primary road jersey is the brown one and the sand uni is the road alt.

I know some people might not agree, but in cases where its not color v. color a primary road uni not gray/sand/neutral is a fresh take and I hope more teams consider it.

These uniforms.  Serves them right, losing to Illinois.  It's especially appalling because their base uniforms are so basic, but man are they beautiful.  They are one of the few teams that look incredible in monochrome white.  And their basic green matte helmet, one of the best in football.

I honestly didn't mind the gold accented unis either.

USF wearing black and neon green tonight!!!  I wish this was more than once a year.

Im not, its a nice alternate...but when your school colors are green and gold that always should be primary.

I took a look at average MiLB attendance figures for this past season, 7 out of the bottom 10 have the same names as MLB teams, two of the bottom four being the Blue Jays.  Granted they are all in the low level leagues, but they don't generate any excitement.

To be fair, one of those bottom 4 was the Dunedin Blue Jays.  They were forced to play in a municipal high school stadium due to primary stadium renovations, so their 2019 numbers are low for a reason.

You shouldn't make a change based on another team, especially one that you only play every 4 years.

No but in a state like Texas where Cowboys are king, standing out rather than blending in doesn’t hurt.

Am I the only one getting full page pop up ads for some insomia treatment? I also had one a short time ago for some other medication.

I've seen them on my phone as well, now on the laptop.

By the way -- it isn't a re-direct. It just appears over the page. When I clicked on the link to get the address, it vanished.

2 more times just now for the full screen insomnia ad. Frustrating in that it closes easily, but then takes you to the top of the page you were on, not the post you were reading.

Im getting these types of ads in desktop, but for the Florida lottery.  Guess it varies on subject matter, but the ad style is getting frustrating.

  11. Ok, so what is this?  Looks like less of a logo and more like something that should be talked about in the general section?

    Some context would help.
