What's going on with the Rawlings logo on some players? I noticed a bunch of Guardians players with it as well. Didn't the league purchase Rawlings several years back?

The Rawlings jerseys are likely the jerseys that the complex leagues use.  Minor leagues require the uniforms to be different outfitters than the majors for some reason.  I used to work for the Blue Jays and Phillies in Florida and thats what was explained to me.

Teams have different jerseys for the minor leaguers. Twins have a red version of their current home uniform that only the minor leaguers use

This is true as well.  The teams in the complex leagues (formerly Gulf Coast and Arizona Leagues) use these jerseys.

Not to jump backwards into two weeks ago, but did anyone else catch the Phillies Spring Breakout prospect team in the red alt jerseys?  A lot of these players weren't around last year, and those that were wouldn't have worn their usual (lower) numbers....so did Nike break their own rule just for a one-off game?

Could have been extra stock the team had around from 2023.

I got really worried when I saw the Lions one on its own, and it had a black primary logo. I'm a little less worried now that I see every team has a graphite version.

    (I'm still terrified)

Edit: Dang it. The Lions have both a graphite AND a black hat, although the black hat at least has a blue logo. But I've got the feeling a black alt uniform is on the way 😭

There's a blue hat in there as well.

Draft hat leak (No Jets, Titans, Seahawks, Patriots, Buccaneers, Cowboys, Commanders pics yet. Lions and Broncos shown with current logos). Looks like three retail

versions - black, dark gray, team color. All hats have two offset drop shadows behind the primary logo.

Honestly, I'm not mad at it.  They've done much worse.

An abandoned warehouse seems like a very, very odd choice to have a professional football team's uniform reveal.

That was probably where the photoshoot was setup with sets and backgrounds.  I have some sports photographer friends and they can take the most ordinary places and bring n some lighting and make it look vastly different.

Number font seems alright, but is it just me or do the horns feel like they're facing the wrong way?

No, bulls horns typically point forward (charging)

Pretty wild the amount of QB moves around the league this offseason.  Is it more than normal or am I seeing what I want to see?

    • Kenny Pickett*:  PIT > PHI
    • Sam Darnold:  SF > MIN
    • Joe Flacco:  CLE > IND
    • Gardner Minshew:  IND > LV
    • Russell Wilson:  DEN > PIT
    • Kirk Cousins:  MIN > ATL
    • Desmond Ridder*:  ATL > AZ
    • Jameis Winston:  NO > CLE
    • Sam Howell:  WAS > SEA
    • Jimmy Garoppolo:  LV > TBD
    • Justin Fields:  CHI > TBD

    * - trade

bold - started at least one game in 2023

I was just telling a group chat I am in that this year is wild, I can't keep track.

They did this for some teams a while ago...I know I have a Pirates McCuttchen shirt from like 2013 with the holes, and a Yankees pre-Nike Stanton (so like...2018-19?) with the same.

I do recall some Majestic player tees having the textured numbers as well, maybe around the 2013-2014 timeframe.

  10. Interesting nugget I came across recently.  This is a relatively new style of hat.  Fansedge/Fanatics has every team shows but one, which is Houston.  In a sponsored ad, I happen to come across the Houston version and it's red centric.

    Texans hat

Fansedge Gallery of the hat model

Might be nothing, but could be hinting at that red-forward identity coming soon.  Could also be nothing since the Jets hat uses the assumed old logo.

Is updating the small wordmark below the NFL shield on the collar enough of a change that the Eagles are now locked into these uniforms for another 5 years?

Its very likely.  The Patriots wordmark change from the cursive one to the block one on the jersey in 2015-2019 before the current unis released in 2020.

The bottom one, with the shield, reminds me of the Florida Panthers’ logo.

It's actually reminiscent of an infrequently used Jaguars alternate logo from 1999-2012.

That’s because the red alts are gone.

Ah yeah, thats right.  Yankees and Detroit have navy jerseys this spring that wont be worn in the regular season, so I guess I'm surprised the Phils didnt keep the red around for that reason.

For “market data” they’re clearly using city population data for the top four. And by that metric El Paso is just as good of a market as Boston.

But Worcester’s population is around 200k, and they have an ECHL team, so I don’t know why they’re not listed.

But for Frederick, they’re using their county population, so it’s not even an apples-to-apples comparison. Just blatantly using different metrics here.

Yeah, they really need to use that "market" term correctly.  Orlando's market population should be 2mil+.  Jacksonville is at least 1.5mil.

Atlanta was clearly ignored.  They must've used Duluth, GA as the city "market"
