I thoughtvi read that no announcers are going on the road for TV, possibly radio as well.

Correct.  I can account that Rays broadcasts home and road have our play by play and color commentators in the press box, sideline reporter in CF on the porch, and pre and post game guys at the desk in LF.

I absolutely HATE the mono black for the Saints. The gold pants with either jersey is one of the best looks in the league, obviously I'm a little biased.

The mono white they pulled out last season was not pretty either.  The only mono unifor they should wear is the Color Rush, but even that could be enhanced by gold pants.

    Looks good to me.

Although in a way I would have liked to have seen the West play in TO & the East in Edmonton so no team is on their home ice

Which would have been a terrible idea for TV viewership.  At least now you can kinda form with timezones going east to west

I saw a photo of the Phillies Citizens Bank Park Opening Day later today, theres a massive "INDEPENDENCE" logo (Blue Cross, Health Insurance) painted along the grass on 1st, 3rd base lines -where we would normally see the "Opening Day 2020" painting. (EYE ROLL!!!)

I think that ad placement on the field might have been part of the return to play agreement.  I noticed the Nationals had Geico on the field last night, and other teams have sponsor ads there too.

Wish they painted the border and key. Add some life to it. I was thinking either black since that's a neutral color or red and blue like the nba logo

Its likely they used the court template that was already in place at Disney for the complex and just added logo decals.

That's waaaay too flashy, but it is the point I'm trying to make.

I mean, this is a super quick and sloppy mockup that has no polish. Maybe silver drop shadow on the bolt, maybe the storm from the 90s jersey behind it, idk. But I think there's a real promise here that their current logo just lacks.

...but leave it to Florida to mess it all up, can't have both Florida teams wearing shields now, can we?

The Lightning alternate logos on the shoulder is pretty solid, despite being a roundel

Good point, When do you think Liberty will join a conference, NDSU is a elite program nobody talks about, so I think they go in the Big Ten.

I foresee Liberty eventually in the Sun Belt or CUSA.

NDSU will never leave D1 FCS, theyre kinda isolated conferencewise and I doubt the Big Ten will offer a jump that far.  The MAC would be their best option, but even they travel would be an issue.

I saw a new ad that will basically be in the same spot and just expand as you scroll down. Ever since It will no longer bring me to the last post of a thread but instead just to the top of the last page. It’s pretty frustrating now.

    Same thing happening to me.

I reported this to Chris.  Moving forward,  if anyone encounters this error again can they please screencap and note any details. Browser, desktop/mobile, time of day etc so he can alert the ad network and they can fix

Mississippi retired its flag, to be replaced with one that doesn't have a symbol of the Confederacy. I've been critical of what I've seen as empty gestures, but this is not one of those, this is actually fixing something broken.

I did see that the new design has to include "In God We Trust" on it, but I guess you had to do something to get it through.

Something with river imagery would be a good start.  I found this from a site article from 2015.

    Quote

"To describe its symbolism, the 21 stars are there to represent the 21 known tribes native to Mississippi. There are 19 full waving stripes, representing the mighty waters of the Mississippi River as well as our Gulf Coast. The one red stripe is a nod to the original Magnolia Flag and when added to the 19 stripes adjacent, they represent Mississippi as the 20th state."

I never cared for the purple and teal of the original set. It always felt like too much of a late '90s novelty, and not befitting a team in the desert. But the shift to red/black was an extreme overcorrection. I think a good solution is to embrace the turquoise alternates: It's a novelty, but one that's regionally relevant, and it's just subtle enough to not be tacky.

Agreed, something about that desert red and light turquoise really goes together.  Toss in the black and sand for accent and thats a good combo.
