  1. 3 places I can think of are Glendale, Denver and Seattle I would also think San Diego, San Fran (Candlestick), and Vegas (albeit a tad small for a venue) could also have outside considerations.
  2. In the end, the Pac 12 went with the most obvious option. Now on to site selection for their championship game.
  3. http://en.allexperts.com/q/College-Football-2792/ncaa-div-1-qualifications.htm Aha, found some info on the subject of becoming D-1A/FBS football. The minimum average attendance for all home games looks to be 15,000:
  4. I understand Nova would play at the Union's PPL Park, but isn't there some kind of average attendance minmum that FBS schools have to meet? Thus, would playing in a sub-20,000 seat stadium be an issue? I guess they could attempt to play neutral site home games close to the home of their visitors, ala Florida Atlantic playing a "home game" at Ford Field in Detroit agaisnt Michigan State this season.
  5. Agreed, I can recall back before the Reebok exclusive deal came into play, replica jersey store price was about $5, sometimes less. Then all of a sudden, Big Reebok goes exclusive and the same jersey that I bought the year before is now $70. Please tell me something is wrong with this picture?
  6. That jersey is most definitly yellow in person as well. Saw a few of them when I was at the Bucs-Browns game a few weeks ago, and next to our regular creamsicles they are awful. Oh, and how about this one. I know it's fake, but it's a nice job:
  7. Wait... what? <checks the alignments> I could've SWORE they were in the same division. In large part because it's the only logical reason for having divisions that make no logical sense. <adds my post to the "evidence that the ACC's alignment makes no damn sense" pile> Well, and to seperate Miami and FSU so that it's possible to have them meet in the championship game, in which this season looks to be the first where that might happen.
  8. Maybe an Eastern/Western: Eastern: Colorado Utah AZ State Arizona Wash St Wash Western: Oregon Oregon St Stanford Cal USC UCLA I'm pretty sure USC and UCLA are the furthest east of the old Pac 8 Schools. Or at least the easternmost "travel pair" It also seems kind of funny to put Washington in the east and UCLA and USC in the west, when Seattle is actually further west than Los Angeles. True, you're right...the map I was looking at was skewed a little and not flush with the Equator.

  10. This story blew up on some USF forums I visited yesterday. Problem is, there really has been no proof so far. Memphis is a good choice, probably the best "available" option, "available" in the sense that they'd probably accept. Central FL on the other hand I'm semi-questionable on. I know, I may sound biased as a USF fan, but I really think there are some better options to make a splash before inviting Central FL (Maryland, TCU, E. Carolina, Houston, Navy, Army - all are extreme stretches, but the worst they can say is NO)
  11. That would be some up realignment. That is a rumor as well as the report from TMZ Sports that OkieState has received a Pac-10 invite. TMZ reporting on sports must mean it's a slow day in Hollywood...
  12. As for the Big 10, Lucas Oil (durr), Soldier Field, The Horseshoe, Ford Field, Lambeau.... haha I'm just throwing wild guesses but wouldn't be surprised if they were selected. Eh, probably not The Shoe, but I could see Cleveland or Cincy in the mix instead.
  13. I wonder where Baylor, ISU, Kansas, and Kansas State would do next if that happens? The most logical option would be that the Mountain West adds those 4 plus Boise State to hit 14 teams and becom the de facto replacement in the BCS for the Big XII
  14. Burn to Boise State, unless this is just staus quo for the time being until the Pac 10/Big XII/Big Ten dominoes fall...
  15. This is on Scout's main page this morning, which looks to be more like something I could see happening. http://cfn.scout.com/2/968955.html
  16. I've been reading alot about this in the past few months on a USF Bulls forum I visit. This could be the first of many dominoes to fall.
  17. That my friend makes too much sense, thus it probably will never happen.
  18. and he's wearing a warm-up jersey... three strikes... That's the jersey they give to any special guest throwing out the first pitch.
  19. I'll say.. 1. Oakland (2011) 2. Tampa Bay (2012) 3. Florida (???) The Marlins have to vacate Dolphin Stadium by 2010 at the latest, so I assume that if they do not show progress very soon, that Huizenga will not be willing to work with them on any kind of extension.
  20. Although Tropicana Field is entering it's 11th season for MLB in 2008, it was built far earlier than that. The Trop was initially began construction in 1986, with the intention to lure a relocated franchise. It was finished in 1990, still without any tenants. It took until 1993 to get a tenant, in this was the Tampa Bay Lightning NHL team. The stadium was renovated to accommodate the arena-style setting and the Lightning remained there until 1996 when they moved to their new arena in downtown Tampa. The Rays were awarded as a franchise in 1995 and began play in 1998, and have been the tenants ever since. As you can see, the Trop is clearly past due, being that contruction began in 1986, that means the design plans for the Trop were about that old. The Trop is outdated among current trends and is past it's prime, even though the team is 11 years old next year
  21. The ballpark is actually next to Tampa Bay itself, not the gulf. The field is oriented to the northeast in the city of St. Petersburg.
  22. I know I have it at home, but what is the name of the Kansas Jayhawk basketball jersey font?
  23. I think you have to post 2 posts in other members threads until you are able to post your own thread. This is in place to thwart spammers from posting their own thread immediately
  24. Could I possibly get a blank version of the official template for sportslogos.net's baseball BP jersey template for use in Paint? (Linked below) Link to what I'm interested in
