I think maybe the twin cities could be a brilliant idea. Half of the teams in a conference play their games in St. Paul at the Excel Energy Center and the Other half at the Target Center in Minneapolis. State of Hockey you know?

Yeah, but then you need hotels and practice facilities for 24 teams, not 12.

I think you'll see coaches that aren't established names that want a shot at the next rung of the coaching ladder. I wonder if they'll expand to 10 teams if they come back. Probably not if they'll be using the same networks and time slots.

Too soon to expand.  If if season 1 was completed, i wouldn't have expected expansion until at least season 3.

Dallas was rumored to move to San Antonio if they return. The AAF Commanders fans Facebook group was hoping for that to happen as well. I think it would've worked out well for the league to have that happen. I'm hopeful this move happens, but not holding my breath.

Tampa Bay was also rumored to head to Orlando.

You know what people really mean, but that's not a conversation for this board

Yeah, the boards are pretty white. A black QB has never sat well with some folks here.

Conversation like this will not be tolerated, please keep the conversation on topic.

#1 is a weird one. For me, when I see it on likeable players like Moon, Luongo, and Mugsy, I don't even acknowledge it. But on a player like Cam Newton, it draws attention in the wrong way... cockiness. spacer.png

So in your defense, its not the number its the person?

Navy is more neutral and less jarring than royal blue. It’s more appealing than and better especially Since the stadium won’t be used by just the Rams, and chargers, but also the super bowl, college bowl games, and even soccer games, and concerts and other events. Navy was the better choice.

This was essentially what I was going to post.  Navy blue is more of a neutral.

Also, seat color doesnt matter.  There are various MLB ballparks with dark green and dark blue seats and that color is never to be seen in the home team colors.  PNC in Pittsburgh comes to mind with navy blue seats and the team in black and gold.

Is the Raiders stadium turf? I'm assuming it would be if you're looking at possibly 3 teams using it for a whole season.

Everything I have read says Grass for Raiders games and Turf for UNLV, so it must be a combo like the Tottenham Stadium in London.

If one of the California teams play in Dallas, it doesn't necessarily mean they will play in Jerry World.  There's the Cotton Bowl, SMU, TCU, North Texas and Globe Life Field, where the XFL Dallas Renegades played.

True but the point in the article I read used the Cowboys and Rams schedules as comparisons.  A second venue would help

  9. Thoughts on Harpers idea?

That playoff format could work, but playing regular season games into November is questionable.  I mean I know April games can be cold, but that might be pushing it.

49ers host Raiders this preseason. I guess the moratorium on playing them after the brawls in 2011 is off since the Raiders are in Vegas and probably no fans this year.

    If preseason games actually happen.

Overall though, this was a great offseason for NFL uniforms. I would say 5 out of the 7 are definite upgrades, and at least 1 other one might be too. Heck, compared to the mismatched look the Rams have been trotting out the last few years, they might even be an overall upgrade, but not by much.

Agreed, theres a solid top 3, a solid bottom 2, and the other two are just in the middle.

I'm thinking the advantage of Disney World is that that complex hosts a lot of various youth and college tournaments, so it's wired for some level of media that practice fields aren't. Plus Disney World presumably has a lot of on-site hotel space that will be going underutilized for the foreseeable future, to make a Quarantine Olympic Village for the participants.

This is the same reason the NBA is considering using Walt Disney World.  The ESPN Complex is wired for media broadcast and the hotel options are there.  I mean the largest single resort by rooms is Pop Century that has over 2800 rooms, and Art of Animation across the lake has about 1900.  Not to mention the food service oppportunities on the hotel site as well.

Both could be secured off very well and they are relatively close to the sports complex.

The Dolphins Color Rush was executed poorly, but don't count out orange jerseys for them. Remember this?

Yeah Dolphins color rush orange was more of a Tennessee Volunteer orange
