NHL: Blackhawks, Red Wings - MLB: Orioles (cartoon bird), Cubs, White Sox, Tigers, Cardinals - NFL: Lions, Raiders, Seahawks, Rams, Titans - NBA: Warriors, Pacers, Thunder, Suns
  1. This is terrific. Always been a fan of the smiling cartoon bird. Harkens back to the Brooks Robinson/Jim Palmer teams. I wonder if the bird would jump a little more if the inner circle was white.
  2. Wow. Very impressive. The main mark and the alternate "Swinging Padre" mark should be adopted immediately. A couple of the best fan entries I've seen here in some time. Also, the migration back to the brown and gold palette would be a welcome change. Nicely done.
  3. Really creative interpretations. Whimsical. Fun. Just like baseball should be. Love resurrecting the Pirates '67-'86 primary logo.
  4. Oh this is a fun post. Nicely rendered as well. Do you plan on expanding to other clubs?
  5. Really well done set. I've been hoping the Falcons would return to a red helmet for a long time. I thought the original switch to the black in 1990 started the whole awful BFBS trend.
  6. Really terrific. I agree with the above that the stitching could be a little closer to the color breaks, but that's the only nitpicky thing. On top of that, I love the logo design and the jersey as well! Nicely done.
  7. Cool idea. Just realized they would share color combos with the Spurs.
  8. Wow. Nice ideas all across the board. Patriots: I love how you added some of the old "Pat the Patriot" sneer to the current "Flying Elvis" mark. Ravens; They need to switch to this logo TODAY. Stellar. Only critique I have on that set is the uni number seems somewhat off-type, losing some edge. Font should probably keep some sharp edges. Cardinals: I saw the note above and agree somewhat about the chubbiness of the logo, but I kind of like it. I feel it has more personality than the current mark. Do you have plans to extend these concepts to other teams? Would love to see them.
  9. On the road jersey, I think you could take some liberties with the size of the "A" with the halo in "Los Angeles". Go taller and keep the pointed top like it is on the home jersey "Angels". Over all, really solid work. It has been a real treat to see the development of the whole project.
  10. Just curious. Outside of the '71 Angels and the '78-'84 Padres, can anyone think of other teams have used all lower case characters? The Angels used it both on the hat and jerseys in '71 and then switched to the capital A on the hat in '72 creating an odd miss match. The Padres just on the jerseys, using the interlocking cap "SD" on their hat. Any other instances. Thinking specifically MLB, but maybe the 4 majors. The Braves?????? Of course! 1972-1980! The hat Hank Aaron wore when he broke Ruth's HR record. Thanks!

  12. I love incorporating the halo on the navy blue hat with the red bill. Nice homage to the original design!
  13. Wow. Loved the all gold Packers concept. Also thought the red Patriots jersey with the blue pants worked nicely. I'm an ex-patriated Michigander living in Chicago, so I'd love to see treatments for the Lions and Bears. Lions: Silver jerseys (a la the Patriots alt from '03-'07) with the Honolulu Blue pants. Bears: Orange jerseys with the current Blue road pants could look cool. Also, what could an all gold Steelers concept look like?
  14. Before such things as Sportslogos.net and Uni-Watch.com, I was busy doing this: A little DIY project, circa 1972. One red baseball hat + one powder blue sweatshirt cut off above the elbows (one displeased mom included) + masking tape + red magic markers = a DIY 1972 Phillies Steve Carlton road jersey! Note both the sleeve stripes and arched NOB. Not bad for a ten-year-old if I do say so myself.
  15. Overall, I really like this concept. It would be nice to see more of the aqua integrated into the uniform. I seems like that was the primary color of the original iteration of the uniform (even though as I recall, the logo was black and orange). I think the addition of that third color in all of the versions of the uniforms would really make it pop.
