  1. That "NY" on there is way too huge. Also, those hats with the WS patch on the side went for about $35-38 at Lids. They were originally asking almost $70 on that site.
  2. Yeah, those NBA Live 98 graphics were awesome for it's time. I'm still a little surprised 2K hasn't tried to make their scorebugs and graphics like NBATV or even TNT. IIRC, wasn't the font used for that the same font for the Broncos names? Also another great 90's basketball game graphics package was NBA Showtime: NBA on NBC. Had the NBA on NBC theme song and full graphics package. It's funny how it was probably the most authentic graphics package for 1999 and it was used for a 3-D NBA Jam evolution with players as muscular as Mr. Olympias.
  3. While the lease for the Tropicana Dome is as ironclad as a stadium lease could get, there was a study done I believe a decade that said Northern New Jersey could feasibly have it's own MLB team. I think there was a group talking about buying the Expos and moving them to NJ maybe. The Wilpons and Steinbrenners would never allow it (nor should they), but it wouldn't be the most insane relocation in the history of pro sports.
  4. The Aberdeen Ironbirds of the NY-Penn League changed their colors to black, orange, and blue to simply black and orange, to match the parent club Orioles. They also got new jerseys, which are Under Armour. Basically, the new uniforms are racing stripes 2.0. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/orioles/blog/bal-aberdeen-ironbirds-to-switch-colors-to-orioles-black-and-orange-20131114,0,5284643.story I actually really like them. Certainly not something you'd normally see from a short season team.
  5. I like the Warriors' yellow sleeved jerseys, but only for them. Just like the Lakers have yellow as their full-time home jersey, Portland has their sash and the Bulls wear black socks in the playoffs, sleeved jerseys should just be a Golden State thing, IMO.
  6. There were yellow fashion jerseys for the Packers, but they were Reebok. I think the jersey in question had a Nike swoosh on it, which would make it counterfeit.
  7. The Bristol White Sox of the Appy League are now a Pirates affiliate, so we'll most likely see the Bristol Pirates with the "P" turned into a "B".
  8. I love the old Charlotte Hornets' use of Rockwell.
  9. If the previous iterations of BP hats are any indicator, all MiLB teams will be going to the Diamond Era style.
  10. I think I've seen it before, but I'm thinking it's a condensed version.
  11. IIRC, for the White Sox-Brewers TBTC game at Comiskey Park in 1990, they made a entirely new wooden scoreboard to put over the electric one.
  12. Thanks you thats perfect. Now is there anywhere I can download that for free because I'm only finding it where I have to pay. IIRC, the old Ottawa Senators Alt font that eriqjaffe had is Serpenite, or a replica of it.
  13. Looks like Serpentine, in italics.
  14. Does anyone know the font on the '73 Padres uniforms, or one close to it? Part of me wants to say it's a thin Gloucester, but I'm not totally sold. For reference:
  15. Isn't Wrexham the same as Script MT?
  16. Nope. I redrew it based on Swiss' template. Would you have the template you used for the Yankees available in raster, BTW?
  17. I know oz615 asked about it a while back, but i want to see if anyone knows about this:
  18. The 2 and 5 remind me of Plumber's Gothic.
  19. How do you vertically arch text in Inkscape?
  20. someone explain... I'd be pissed if I was an Orioles fan. The most logical reason's are #1. Ripken's ownership group bought a minor league affiliate of the Rays, and this is just icing on the cake. But I prefer #2. In an alternate universe, the Rays have this as their first set, and Ripken was picked up in the expansion draft.
  21. What is the font, por favor?
  22. The font is Beantown. Good font, and free.
  23. Is that a WNBA Attendance Champions banner I see there creepin in the background? Yup. There's actually four or five of them.
  24. I swear I've seen this font before.
  25. That's more custom than a sleeveless hockey jersey.
