My favorite thing about Piazza on the Marlins is that while his time with the Marlins only amounted to .245% of his career plate appearances, he did pick up 12.5% of his career triples!

J.D. Drew during his very first month with the Cardinals, as a September call-up in 1998. What's wrong about this uniform? It was the second of the Cardinals' two season experiment without front numbers. The front numbers would return in 1999, when Drew would stick in the majors for most of the season:
Wow, I have no memory of the Cardinals ever not having front uniform numbers. I've seen the McGwire record-setting home run a million times, and in fact own that book thing Sporting News made, but would have bet every cent in my bank account that that uniform had numbers on the front. This feels like a Berenstein/Berenstain Bears thing here...

A few of my unpopular opinions:
1) I LOVED those bright red alternate uniforms the Twins wore in the late 90's. I thought they were perfect for the super-drab Metrodome.
Oooo baby...
2) I'm a big Bruins fan. From what I can tell, everybody in Boston loved the Winter Classic jersey. I liked the idea, but the spoked-B was so goofy that I just can't get on board. Now, a Bruins look that I loved, and would scrap the current alternate for in a heartbeat:
I don't even care about the lack of the spoked-B.
3) Notre Dame's pants are hideous. I don't care that they're more gold than they used to be, they're awful.

Rare team matchups

Oh man, this one is reeeeally, really good. I would have never guessed that these two uniforms ever overlapped. I always associate this Leafs uniform with the 70s and 80s and the Sharks, obviously with the 90s.
If the Sharks played the Devils in 1991-92, it would have also been a rare matchup of the Sharks and the red and green Devils. That would have been the only year of overlap. Same with the green Whalers uniforms.
