  1. I kept seeing headlines saying they were tied for the longest losing streak for like the past three games. I don't know what was up with that, but I know by just looking it up that they are now tied for it. Weirdly expected them to end it against a winning team.
  2. It's not the postseason in the light of playoffs or championships though. The bowl games are just filler games used to build up more money for programs and sponsors. At this point, we already have too many so on a competing standpoint, it's just a hollow exhibition.
  3. I went to the game while visiting relatives in the area. I was spared the broadcast, but got a plentiful of nausea from the Barstool advertising. I also got to see that dipsh!t Dave Portnoy present the fan (I think they're fans... or just Barstool employees) field goal try. Oh, and Tank was present on the big screen during a few of the promotions (the car race, hot dog memory game). Is he like their unofficial mascot?
  4. NY Jets vs. Cleveland Detroit vs. Dallas Tennessee vs. Houston Atlanta vs. Chicago Miami vs. Baltimore New Orleans vs. Tampa Bay New England vs. Buffalo Arizona vs. Philadelphia Carolina vs. Jacksonville Las Vegas vs. Indianapolis LA Rams vs. NY Giants San Francisco vs. Washington Pittsburgh vs. Seattle Cincinnati vs. Kansas City LA Chargers vs. Denver Green Bay vs. Minnesota
  5. As much as I hate to say it (because I've constantly tried to talk him down), Lamar Jackson is easily among the best quarterbacks. Even when the Ravens keep losing people to injuries, they just keep winning! They don't have the most talented offense in the league either, but Lamar Jackson has the ability to make things happen for them on nearly every play. It hasn't been easy for me to appreciate the kind of player he is because he doesn't post the most flashy stats and numbers. Maybe it's because I started watching football when pocket passers were so prevalent, with their high yardage and touchdown stats (Manning, Brady, Brees, etc.). That's what the quarterback position was to me. Given the state of the AFC, this is Lamar Jackson's best shot at a Super Bowl. While I'm still not rooting for him because my team is also competing, I'm not going to throw a fit if he gets it done.
  6. I think if the Ravens manage to get to the Super Bowl, they win outright. Their just a bad matchup for the entire NFC.
  7. We didn't. The point was just about getting a win against an above .500 team. I don't care who it was. It is what it is.
  8. A win against a winning team! Finally. Maybe critics can shut up about it now.
  9. The postseason has definitely been random. I was referring more to the regular season if anything. How teams like the Dodgers who have had a large stretch of 90+ wins a season or the Yankees who haven't even had a losing season since 1992(!). If you are a fan of the Royals or Pirates of the world, you're just hoping for a winning season or a taste of relevancy. With the former, you have something to look forward to, the latter... not so much.
  10. MLB is literally the closest thing we have here to European soccer. While it takes more than just being a destination team to effectively target the big names, it really does do wonders for the players themselves. It's like deciding if you want to play in perfect-weather SoCal where you will make a name for yourself, or go to Pittsburgh where you have less spotlight and have other limitations. It really does suck if your team isn't attractive or loaded with money, but I've accepted that as the norm when it comes to this league. But hey! At least the players are winning, right?
  11. Oy! I finally won a week! New Orleans vs. LA Rams Cincinnati vs. Pittsburgh Buffalo vs. LA Chargers Washington vs. NY Jets Detroit vs. Minnesota Cleveland vs. Houston Green Bay vs. Carolina Seattle vs. Tennessee Indianapolis vs. Atlanta Jacksonville vs. Tampa Bay Dallas vs. Miami Arizona vs. Chicago New England vs. Denver Las Vegas vs. Kansas City NY Giants vs. Philadelphia Baltimore vs. San Francisco
  12. The Seahawks have beaten the Eagles eight-straight times. Their last loss was well over a decade ago. Pete Carroll owns Philadelphia.
  13. The Bills are terrifying. There is a great chance they win their next two, Miami loses their next two, and Buffalo clamps the Dolphins on the last week to take the division.
  14. Yes. That was when nearly the whole country was rooting for a tie just to keep the Steelers out of the playoffs. Probably one of those sports moments where all fans, rivals or not, united for one cause. Shame on Staley for spoiling that.
  15. And I thought the Broncos-Dolphins game was the clear-cut blowout of the year. This one might be over 50! Edit: Just missed the mark.
  16. The Commanders are in Landover, Maryland. Given that their team facilities and headquarters are in Northern VA, it makes much more sense for them to move than for the Capitals and Wizards.
  17. The only convenience I see about Alexandria is that it gets the players in and out through Reagan quicker. The Downtown arena provides an arguably equal travel distance for those in Maryland and Virginia, but moreso for DC residents. I don't know where most of Capitals and Wizards fans are within the DMV (despite being a resident of the area myself), but it would be a big disservice to the Maryland population north/east of the city. The Beltway sucks. You can't make them take the Beltway.
  18. LA Chargers vs. Las Vegas Minnesota vs. Cincinnati Pittsburgh vs. Indianapolis Denver vs. Detroit NY Giants vs. New Orleans Chicago vs. Cleveland Atlanta vs. Carolina Tampa Bay vs. Green Bay NY Jets vs. Miami Kansas City vs. New England Houston vs. Tennessee San Francisco vs. Arizona Washington vs. LA Rams Dallas vs. Buffalo Baltimore vs. Jacksonville Philadelphia vs. Seattle
  19. How is Lawrence playing after a high ankle sprain, but Pickett is out for like multiple weeks? Was there different severity?
  20. What? I was referring to the Rams and any of their uniforms looking like Michigan's football uniforms. Nothing more. To answer, they don't, even with similarities in both their blue and yellow, etc..
  21. I know many are beating on the whole "always a winning season" thing with Tomlin, but if that's going to be the standard for the Steelers now, then they really have fallen from their Super Bowl days. In fact, I don't think I see them winning another one with Tomlin ever again. They got everything they could out of his tenure. The Steelers usually don't fire people because their "philosophy" and "culture" have always been unquestioned, but maybe it's at the point where we can say that it's aged to where change is needed.
  22. The Lakers really want to be the first team to win the tournament. They sure are playing like it.
  23. New England vs. Pittsburgh Houston vs. NY Jets LA Rams vs. Baltimore Carolina vs. New Orleans Indianapolis vs. Cincinnati Tampa Bay vs. Atlanta Jacksonville vs. Cleveland Detroit vs. Chicago Seattle vs. San Francisco Minnesota vs. Las Vegas Denver vs. LA Chargers Buffalo vs. Kansas City Philadelphia vs. Dallas Green Bay vs. NY Giants Tennessee vs. Miami
