  1. I can't imagine the Broncos with a helmet that is not blue. They have largely been blue helmets, orange jerseys, and white pants for much of their existence, so it just feels like it should be the general base of their uniforms going forward. Even with the jerseys between 1997-2011 being more navy-dominant, the helmets were still blue. Moving away from that breaks off from the consistency they have had.
  2. Cleveland vs. Houston Miami vs. Kansas City Pittsburgh vs. Buffalo Green Bay vs. Dallas Los Angeles vs. Detroit Philadelphia vs. Tampa Bay
  3. Pete Carroll is out as the Seahawks head coach. Surprised honestly, as I thought he would be there for at least another season. I can only imagine that might be it for Geno Smith as well. They need more than just small changes to the team.
  4. You know how it goes. If your team missed the playoffs, your offseason starts now. Atlanta and Washington have already started with the firing of their HC's. Carolina has also fired their GM.
  5. Congrats to the Bills. Hopefully Josh Allen's stupidity doesn't cost them any playoff wins. I think that's it for Miami. The Chiefs are already hard enough, but if they come out of that, they likely play at Baltimore again. No thanks.
  6. I'm half convinced that the refs know when a penalty is a penalty, but just simply choose not to call it to control the game. That was a delayed hit on Fields there.
  7. Their season spiraled downwards after he got hurt. I think they had significant injuries on the defense as well, but the key one was Lawrence. He wasn't the same after that Monday Night game.
  8. Whether Lawrence is back or not, he won't be healthy. I would prefer to face Jacksonville. I don't see anyone beating the Ravens in the playoffs. However, a lot of the their losses dating back to last year have been fourth quarter blown leads. The most likely way of them getting bounced is if they do it themselves (or if Lamar has another season impacting injury).
  9. Pittsburgh vs. Baltimore Houston vs. Indianapolis Tampa Bay vs. Carolina Atlanta vs. New Orleans NY Jets vs. New England Cleveland vs. Cincinnati Jacksonville vs. Tennessee Minnesota vs. Detroit Philadelphia vs. NY Giants Dallas vs. Washington Seattle vs. Arizona LA Rams vs. San Francisco Chicago vs. Green Bay Kansas City vs. LA Chargers Denver vs. Las Vegas Buffalo vs. Miami
  10. Well, I'm sure the ratings were great so I guess the playoff committee won there.
  11. I kept seeing headlines saying they were tied for the longest losing streak for like the past three games. I don't know what was up with that, but I know by just looking it up that they are now tied for it. Weirdly expected them to end it against a winning team.
  12. It's not the postseason in the light of playoffs or championships though. The bowl games are just filler games used to build up more money for programs and sponsors. At this point, we already have too many so on a competing standpoint, it's just a hollow exhibition.
  13. I went to the game while visiting relatives in the area. I was spared the broadcast, but got a plentiful of nausea from the Barstool advertising. I also got to see that dipsh!t Dave Portnoy present the fan (I think they're fans... or just Barstool employees) field goal try. Oh, and Tank was present on the big screen during a few of the promotions (the car race, hot dog memory game). Is he like their unofficial mascot?
  14. NY Jets vs. Cleveland Detroit vs. Dallas Tennessee vs. Houston Atlanta vs. Chicago Miami vs. Baltimore New Orleans vs. Tampa Bay New England vs. Buffalo Arizona vs. Philadelphia Carolina vs. Jacksonville Las Vegas vs. Indianapolis LA Rams vs. NY Giants San Francisco vs. Washington Pittsburgh vs. Seattle Cincinnati vs. Kansas City LA Chargers vs. Denver Green Bay vs. Minnesota
  15. As much as I hate to say it (because I've constantly tried to talk him down), Lamar Jackson is easily among the best quarterbacks. Even when the Ravens keep losing people to injuries, they just keep winning! They don't have the most talented offense in the league either, but Lamar Jackson has the ability to make things happen for them on nearly every play. It hasn't been easy for me to appreciate the kind of player he is because he doesn't post the most flashy stats and numbers. Maybe it's because I started watching football when pocket passers were so prevalent, with their high yardage and touchdown stats (Manning, Brady, Brees, etc.). That's what the quarterback position was to me. Given the state of the AFC, this is Lamar Jackson's best shot at a Super Bowl. While I'm still not rooting for him because my team is also competing, I'm not going to throw a fit if he gets it done.
  16. I think if the Ravens manage to get to the Super Bowl, they win outright. Their just a bad matchup for the entire NFC.
  17. We didn't. The point was just about getting a win against an above .500 team. I don't care who it was. It is what it is.
  18. A win against a winning team! Finally. Maybe critics can shut up about it now.
  19. The postseason has definitely been random. I was referring more to the regular season if anything. How teams like the Dodgers who have had a large stretch of 90+ wins a season or the Yankees who haven't even had a losing season since 1992(!). If you are a fan of the Royals or Pirates of the world, you're just hoping for a winning season or a taste of relevancy. With the former, you have something to look forward to, the latter... not so much.
  20. MLB is literally the closest thing we have here to European soccer. While it takes more than just being a destination team to effectively target the big names, it really does do wonders for the players themselves. It's like deciding if you want to play in perfect-weather SoCal where you will make a name for yourself, or go to Pittsburgh where you have less spotlight and have other limitations. It really does suck if your team isn't attractive or loaded with money, but I've accepted that as the norm when it comes to this league. But hey! At least the players are winning, right?
  21. Oy! I finally won a week! New Orleans vs. LA Rams Cincinnati vs. Pittsburgh Buffalo vs. LA Chargers Washington vs. NY Jets Detroit vs. Minnesota Cleveland vs. Houston Green Bay vs. Carolina Seattle vs. Tennessee Indianapolis vs. Atlanta Jacksonville vs. Tampa Bay Dallas vs. Miami Arizona vs. Chicago New England vs. Denver Las Vegas vs. Kansas City NY Giants vs. Philadelphia Baltimore vs. San Francisco
  22. The Seahawks have beaten the Eagles eight-straight times. Their last loss was well over a decade ago. Pete Carroll owns Philadelphia.
  23. The Bills are terrifying. There is a great chance they win their next two, Miami loses their next two, and Buffalo clamps the Dolphins on the last week to take the division.
  24. Yes. That was when nearly the whole country was rooting for a tie just to keep the Steelers out of the playoffs. Probably one of those sports moments where all fans, rivals or not, united for one cause. Shame on Staley for spoiling that.
