  1. The only issue I can see with Taylor Swift involves what's posted on social media, so that's an easy issue to fix. Outside of that, she has only appeared during Chiefs games (which I don't even watch anyway) and yeah, it doesn't seem like it's that much coverage from what I hear.

Somewhat related note, I partly expect Kelce to propose to her at the trophy presentation if they end up winning.

Congrats to @Dynasty. Welcome to the Hall of NFL Weekly Picks Champions (from the 2021 Champion himself 😉).

I appreciate it! 🙂 This was my first try at the pick'em and it went far better than I expected.

I don't know if I'll do it again or not though. Picking against teams that I wanted to win, just so I could get my picks right, kinda took some of the fun out of the season. I guess I'll see what the mood is in seven months. 🤷‍♂️

The more I see of Lamar in the spotlight, the more I start to understand why the Ravens were hesitant to sign him to big money long term.

He's definitely the most important player on his team and keeps them going (and I wouldn't be against him winning the MVP). But I've said it before... he's a terrible passer. If you want to be a Super Bowl winning quarterback, you have to be able to effectively pass the ball on a consistent basis and he just can't see to do it. Also relies too much on his athleticism. Props to Kansas City's defense, but this has been the issue with Lamar Jackson for years, outside of his occasional season-ending injuries.

  4. Marlins updates look good. I still think their whole look could be improved upon, but they made upgradable moves.

I'm beyond disappointed by the Nationals. An uninspiring road script, plus an alternate that looks more like a polo shirt than what's supposed to be a pullover... what a mess of an identity they have now. As critical as I was of their 2011 set, at least that brand was largely consistent with all its elements. I already miss it.

Greg Olson has all the excitement and insight that Romo has without any downsides. He and Kevin Burkhardt are an amazing duo in the booth, really hope Brady doesn't force them apart.

If Brady is expected to take over next season, wouldn't that mean he gets to do next year's Super Bowl in his first try?

I don't know why it will be on FOX again after they just hosted it last year. I would've expected next year to be NBC, but I guess they've been tweaking the network rotation.

The Jets look terrible. What do you like? The dark green and black together? The oversized wordmark? The primary logo that writes out the whole name? Performance triangles? All they had to do was apply the new shade of green to the Namath template and they'd have been set for life.

Yes, there wasn't anything I liked about the Jets' 2019 update outside of the brighter green. The logo change felt lateral to me, though the previous oval logo did have too much going on with the Jets script, Times New Roman NY in the back, and the small football, so I would argue it might've been an upgrade from that.

I've said it before, but I hate the striping more than anything. The idea, at least on paper, looked like it was intended to have them completely straight, but it's ruined when the players are moving around with them.

The way the striping just bends and curves makes it look so awkward. They would've been better using standard striping that goes from top to bottom, or maybe just omitting them altogether.

Two pick sixes!!! Looks like back to the couch for Flacco. Browns are cursed eternal.

The injuries the Browns had during the season were so crucial that they were bound to catch up to them at some point. The fact that they even got to the playoffs is crazy.

I know he's a rookie, but Stroud might already be a Top 5 quarterback. Holy hell.

  8. So I'm guess they're scrapping red for purple, based on the pics? I don't know any other car company that uses purple, so it at least creates distinction.

The H feels somewhat weak on its own. I don't know how that will translate to the vehicles themselves so I may just have to wait and see.

    1. My choice for the team's new name would be the Columbus Choppers.  The Braves are moving away from having their affiliates share their nickname, but I still wanted the new name to be a nod to the team and its culture.  In this case, they would be named after a certain motion synonymous with the Braves and their fandom, as well as a salute to nearby Fort Moore and the Army's helicopters that have flown to and from there.

I don't think emphasizing on the Braves' controversial fan rally is a good idea. But I do believe if they pay a nod to anything, something to the state of Georgia or Columbus itself would be preferrable.

  10. I can't imagine the Broncos with a helmet that is not blue. They have largely been blue helmets, orange jerseys, and white pants for much of their existence, so it just feels like it should be the general base of their uniforms going forward. Even with the jerseys between 1997-2011 being more navy-dominant, the helmets were still blue. Moving away from that breaks off from the consistency they have had.

  11. Pete Carroll is out as the Seahawks head coach. Surprised honestly, as I thought he would be there for at least another season.

I can only imagine that might be it for Geno Smith as well. They need more than just small changes to the team.

Is Trevor Lawrence good? I feel like he is, but they it seems like he actually isn't.

He's no CJ Stroud, that's for sure.

Their season spiraled downwards after he got hurt. I think they had significant injuries on the defense as well, but the key one was Lawrence. He wasn't the same after that Monday Night game.

I'm trying to decide if I want Cleveland to play the Jags or the Texans. I think I'd rather they get the Jags, only because I know the Texans will be much, much harder to play with CJ Stroud than with the backups. At least the Texans line will be the same as that game. If they made the AFC Championship, that's probably the top level for them this year. I can't see Baltimore blowing a 10+ point lead in the fourth quarter this year.

Whether Lawrence is back or not, he won't be healthy. I would prefer to face Jacksonville.

I don't see anyone beating the Ravens in the playoffs. However, a lot of the their losses dating back to last year have been fourth quarter blown leads. The most likely way of them getting bounced is if they do it themselves (or if Lamar has another season impacting injury).
