  1. They're STILL screwing up the beveling.
  2. http://holidayinndac.iepromo.com Holiday Inn is allowing fans, or anybody really, design the race car they will use later this year. There isn't much more you can do other than change colors and use different templates, but it's still cool. You can also see what other people have been designing. I don't know where exactly this thread would best fit, so don't shoot me if this isn't the place.
  3. It could have been worse - they could have had a gold facemask.
  4. Is that a puck or a stack of plates? Seeing the copperplate, I really think it is.
  5. Whatever happened to the logo that had the wavy stripes in the background?
  6. I see Marquette took down Pitt at Pitt tonight. That's going to shake things up a bit in your bracket.
  7. Mediocrity is not competition. The teams in the Atlantic all suck, the schedules make it seem competitive. Saturday, November 18th was the last time a team (the Nets at 5-4) was above .500 in the division.
  8. The solution is so painfully simple, I can't believe it hasn't been posted yet. The NBA needs to engineer and breed officials with nine fingers on each hand. Or, in a less time consuming manor, teach them how to use sign language.
  9. Do you think this is authentic or not? As far as I can remember, the Pats only wore Starter and Adidas with the flying Elvis on the shoulders. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...p;rd=1&rd=1
  10. I agree with one pick, and one pick only - Patriots over Jets. LJ is going to run for 400 yards against the Colts; as pathetic as the Cowboys have been, the Seahawks have been worse; and the Eagles are the best of the NFC playoff teams, there's no way they're losing to the Giants.
  11. The Raptors are 6-5 without Bosh; they were 7-12 with him. They're a bad team, period. The Knicks are 4-2 since the fight and suspensions; they were 9-17 with the rest of the losers. The Nets were 11-15 with Kristic, they weren't going anywhere anyway. The Celtics were 10-14 with Pierce in the lineup, and are winless in four games without him. Sure, they're a better team with him, but they still suck. The 76ers are pathetic. They were 5-12 with Iverson and 3-9 without him (2-2 with the new players).
  12. One of the local TV stations here still uses the orange and black NHL logo.
  13. "Redskins 24 Giants 17 With the NFC being utterly pathetic the Giants are still in control of their own destiny to make the playoffs, the way they are playing they should not be." No team in the NFC controlls their own destiny. The Giants can win and still miss the playoffs, but they are the only team that can make the playoffs if they lose.
  14. What good would LT do the Falcons? They lead the league in rushing yards every year without him. If you want lopsided trades, see John Elway to Denver for Ron Solt; Herschel Walker to Minnesota for three Lombardi Trophies; and Brett Favre to Green Bay for Tony Smith.
  15. According to most people on the Pirates MLB.com board, you guys already have the best atarting rotation in the league.Four teams haven't spent a dime on a free agent so far this year - Arizona, Florida, Pittsburgh, and Washington. It looks like they are all fighting for the bottoms of their respective divisions again this year, while the two teams that have spent the most money are still likely to finish under .500.
  16. Chad deserves the award as much as Rex Grossman does.If the comeback player of the year isn't Bulger, it'll be Javon Walker.
  17. CPOTY has nothing to do with the player suffering an injury. Kitna won it in 2003, and other than the fact that they went from 2-14 to 8-8, he didn't improve much figuring that he only played 14 games in 2002.My CPOTY has to be Marc Bulger.

    Go Pack Go!

Stat boy should kick Tank off the forums for not knowing the playoff scenarios. Green Bay clinches a playoff berth: 1) GB win + NYG win + GB clinches strength of victory tiebreaker over NYG** 2) GB win + NYG loss or tie + STL loss or tie 3) GB win + NYG loss or tie + CAR win 4) GB win + NYG loss or tie + ATL win 5) GB tie + NYG loss + STL loss + ATL loss or tie + CAR loss or tie **Packers clinch strength of victory tiebreaker over NY Giants if all of the following occur: ARI win, DET win, MIA win, MIN win, SF win, CAR loss, HOU loss, TB loss. If Green Bay and NY Giants end up tied in strength of victory, then tie will be decided by best strength of schedule. With this game supposedly being Favre's last game (I still think he'll be back next year), ratings will be high.
  19. Touchdown; possession of a muff was gained by the kicking team in the endzone. The ball was not advanced, but rather "fumbled" backward. This is evident during on-side kicks. If the receiving team touches the ball first, and it's then recovered by the kicking team, they get is wherever they recover it, not where it was touched. If a player muffs a punt or kickoff and it rolls out of bounds, the receiving team retains possession at the spot the ball went out of bounds (forward or backward). If a player muffs a punt or kickoff that rolls through his own endzone, it is a touchback and the receiving team gets the ball at the 20 yard line.
