  1. And of those, both Anaheim and Washington had sweaters that at least felt like hockey sweaters. That template that Pittsburgh had is by far the worst thing ever to be an NHL jersey and it’s atrocious that they won two cups in it. I’m glad 2017 was back in their classic sweaters. Those are by far the worst sweaters to have ever won the cup, and it’s not even close.
  2. That was just about one of the worst decisions the club has ever made… As a Twins fan I am so so happy they ditched it.
  3. I’m very happy that a lot of the crappy state flags are being changed. It’s an exciting time as an amateur vexillologist. But there seems to be a lot of people who still prefer terribly designed flags that match a ton of other states in the union. I just don’t understand the push back on it… I’m glad you think you flag represents you, but it’s failing when I can’t tell if it’s Michigan’s or Vermont’s or Kansas’s flag. So where ya from bud? I’m fairly certain no one is going to confuse Colorado and New Mexico by their state flags, and that’s exactly the point. I know everyone won’t have the same design sense, and some people just can’t understand design, but like what reason do these states have to not pass these changes through?
  4. I like the new RI monogram, but the R is actually lost for me. It looks more like a P. Maybe that crossbar/angled leg of the R could be adjusted to show the R more.
  5. Yeah you could probably move the Coyotes to Fargo and they’d do well. Heck they have just as nice of a small arena in Scheels as they do in Mullett. Or put them up in Grand Forks at Ralph Engelstad…
  6. As a Gophers fan I hope Logan Cooley comes back for another 3 years. And thankfully the Coyotes might just help out with that…
  7. Yeah this is probably the worst four I could imagine… Out of the West it’s two teams I hate the most of the bracket, and the East feels uninteresting. Maybe the Panthers with their crazy run, but I was rooting for the Leafs out of the East, so it’s just weird.
  8. So an MLB stadium problem was solved by taking out the Trop, but not the one we were thinking of…
  9. I’d swap the crown and the LA monogram on the front. Or maybe even use the Chevy logo or some kinda shield there. It would fill the space better than the monogram would. Can’t wait for the Wild!!
  10. I mean it was more red, but not quite enough for me…
  11. Looking at those photos the Devils old white sweater is actually a little disappointing. It feels like way to much black, when it should be a little more red heavy. I guess that’s why I like the wider stripes on the new set, but the lack of tail stripes is awful. They look like freaking nightshirts on the players…
  12. And MTL is better than MON as well as WPG being superior to WIN for Montreal and Winnipeg respectively
  13. Yeah last year’s team was much much better. The Wild really just (like always) lack center depth and good face off guys. They’re starting to get goal scorers, but just struggle down the middle especially. And considering you usually draft those types rather than sign them, it’s gonna be a while before the Wild are really ready to make a deep run.
  14. And on TOP of that, the Wild basically didn’t play hockey since the end of game 4. They looked fairly distraught in game 5 and completely lifeless in game 6. For a team that’s supposed to be built on being tough, they really didn’t get going when things got tough for them. (But don’t get me wrong, Dallas played great pretty much every night and totally deserved to win that series.) I feel like the Wild are going to take an even bigger step back next year, considering the cap penalty increases for the next season. I guess it’ll be the wrong season for that, since they’ll be missing out on Bedard…
  15. Houston: More parking spots then people!
  16. That stupid alligator again?? + =
  17. So why the silver? That’s probably my biggest gripe with the set. If the red jersey had black outlines on the numbers they would be fantastic. The big Arizona on the front is great and makes an otherwise fairly plain jersey much better. If they swapped all the silver here with black, it would be a much better set. The silver stripe disappears way to much. I’d also slap on a big Arizona or Cardinals on the road jersey too.
  18. It was always more of the cream color than the gold of the moon, but pre-Edge it was just shiny.
  19. I agree, I love the red numbers on the Wild’s white sweater. The Iowa Wild actually just changed to that as well. The Wild were definitely one of the worst matching teams in the league until Adidas took over. But the striping between the home and road is the same with a bit of a different color way, much like the Hawks, or even like the Stars. While there are some subtle changes I would like to see to the Wild’s green home sweater, I think it’s one of the best in the league, and does really match the road jersey well. It’s not the same as how the Canes are wearing 3 different striping patterns on 3 different jerseys with 3 different logos, only one of which has their primary logo…
  20. I recently had a conversation with a friend where the Lakers came up. When I mentioned that they used to be the Minneapolis Lakers, because Minneapolis is the city of lakes, they said they had no clue, and always wondered why LA had such a terrible name…
  21. I really wish Minne and Paul would have still been the sleeve patch, but that “dark blue blob” is very obviously Minnesota.
  22. Well that also has an adidas-style collar, so probably around the same time their current alternate went into production. Both use alternative NY logos, and are kinda just slightly different styles for the Isles
  23. Nope. Only gradients for the sake of gradients…
  24. I like A or C. The idea behind B is cool, big the flower covers up to much, so it doesn’t really read as an M underneath anymore. I feel like A could be a great one to use if you went with a sort of neo-1920’s vibe for the sweaters.
  25. So Minnesota has started considering a redesign of their state flag. There are a number of problems with the current flag, especially when it comes to the actual design. Minnesota Legislature considers state flag redesign again, but this time it might happen – Twin Cities There was a flag designed in 1989, nicknamed the North Star flag, but I find the design to be a little lacking and it just doesn't have the right feel of a flag. It just doesn't feel like a memorable design, despite being miles better than the current flag. So I came up with a design that highlights the North Star better, and also calls back to the large Scandinavian population in Minnesota. I'm calling it the Norsk Star flag! It follows the design of the Nordic Cross flags, but is actually in the shape of a star, the North Star. And green, white, and blue are fitting colors for Minnesota.
