  1. Funniest part of it is, had this been taken two years ago they'd likely have asked him to stick around and play some infield, ya know, just for old time's sake...
  2. Does anyone happen to have access to the REQUIEM family of fonts? I'm working on something and could use it, but am not prepared to pay out the wazoo (close to $200) for a font family I'm only going to use for a single (non-paying) project.
  3. Here's one that's really common, but one whose name escapes me. Can anyone refresh my memory?
  4. Anyone know this one? WTF is giving me a blank stare...
  5. Never mind. I got the answer I was looking for. and... what was it? inquiring minds want to know. It was one of the Seagull family.
  6. Never mind. I got the answer I was looking for.
  7. Anyone have any ideas? This text comes from the 2007 ACC Football Media Guide. The font looks familiar to me, but WTF was unable to match it.
  8. Well, for this purpose I'd have to make the second circle's circumference a little larger, but I get the idea. Thanks, odd!
  9. Okay, here's one that exposes my Illustrator incompetence (aside from the fact that I'm using AI 9)... I'm looking to take the text located in the bottom half of the circle and reverse it, so that it reads right-side-up, left-to-right. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this?
  10. Those Pittsburgh pictures make me sad... not because of the team's performance, but apparently due to the fact that they've resorted to putting large amounts of advertising on the inside of the rooftop. Just sad.
  11. This one looks fairly common to me, but I can't seem to place it. Anyone have any ideas?
  12. C'mon, it's the Devil Rays. It's not the Sailboat. It's the FAILboat.
  13. I think the EZ lettering is actually just a generic stencil from the 70's which Al Davis had the Oakland ground crew make... he's never placed a lot of emphasis on things like that.
  14. in house font developed by Reebok, not for sale. same font used on NFL sideline gear as well. (In above Browns shirt) A disappointing response, but one that's appreciated nonetheless!
  15. Anyone have any ideas on the font used for the "Browns" text?
  16. I stand corrected - I haven't read the autobiography for closing in on 20 years now.
  17. I saw the subject and thought "Who the hell is Ray?" Guess I'm just not used to the name change. The facility renderings look great, though with that design I'll bet they run into problems with the retractable roof mechanics. Don't know why - just call it a hunch.
  18. That one always pisses me off, since he was gone about 3 months later. It was also something Jackson later stated he regretted - in his autobiography he claimed that Edward Bennett Williams and he had come to terms on a new contract, and in fact EBW had signed one and presented him with it for signature. Jackson kept the document, but decided to test the free agent waters... and the rest was history. In 30 years, this pic of Jackson in an Oriole uniform is the only one I've seen, actually.
  19. A follow-up on this one: though hard as hell to find, ORBIT is commercially available. I've spent the better part of the past 4 days looking for it.
  20. Means... Am I correct and assuming that this is a NFL Properties typeface and is not available to the general public? If not where can I get it so I can let my client and designers know? Thanks a bunch. One of these two could be at least close, but I'm going from memory - which is normally bad about this kind of stuff, so I could be completely wrong. Check out Reforma Grotesk and Serifa BT. These aren't exact, but they might be close.
