Only one pic, but in the 1995-96 season, the original Minnesota Timberwolves getup met the new Seattle Supersonics (pictured here) uni/logo set, and the first-year Vancouver Grizzlies and Toronto Raptors. I do not have any pics for the other two matchups.

I actually wouldn't mind WRs number range be expanded to 10-29,80-89. That or just do 20-29,80-89. Leave 10-19 to QBs and K/P. Something about a WR jersey number in the 20s just looks awesome.

Agreed. But, I love single digit numbers on WRs and RBs as in college.

Surprised nobody's tried speculating on where Vegas' AHL affiliate will go (all signs indicate that the AHL will expand)

We KNOW it's gonna be out West...Reno seems like the most obvious pick, but they still can't get an arena built (an ECHL franchise has been dormant for thirteen years waiting on it).  Other possibilities include Fresno, Sacramento or Salt Lake City...

Probably Fresno --- but, man I'd love for the Grizzlies to be back in the AHL.

I respect your viewpoint, but in all the years of browsing concepts here, I have never seen anyone do a better version of the Bulls' logo than the one they have now, and there has been no shortage of attempts. I don't see what the Bulls have to gain by moving on from the Jordan era when Chicago Bulls merchandise is still a top seller here and abroad. Granted, I wouldn't mind Chicago on the roads the way the Celtics finally put Boston on theirs, but as far as home whites go, there's nothing to improve. No one who goes to a Bulls game should ever see them in anything else, and that goes for all the dopey alternates and one-offs they keep putting out, too.

Don't touch the logo. But, the jerseys could use a little refresher?

Honestly, though, I'd love to see them bring this road back ...

Some teams do it one way, some another. What's weird is not having a consistent policy:  I remember that, with the Mets, Howard Johnson wore "H. Johnson" while manager Davey Johnson wore "Johnson".

I think for a while Ozzie Smith continued to wear "Smith" after Lonnie Smith arived and wore "L. Smith"; but then Ozzie changed to "O. Smith".

Luckily, that's stopped in the NBA. I remember for years seeing K.Malone and J.Malone on the Jazz jerseys. I also believe M.Malone and J.Malone happened on the Bullets?

I think the NBA stopped doing that around 2003-04ish when Rasheed Wallace was traded to Detroit and teamed up with Big Ben.

Is this from an ASG or something, and he and Shaq switched warm-up jackets? I'm confused...all I know is he's wearing a Magic jacket and standing next to Karl Malone, who's wearing his regular Jazz jacket (at first I thought Lakers till I saw the green in the collar).

It's from the 1992 NBA All-Star Game (pre-Shaq) in Orlando -- Robinson forgot or lost his Spurs warmups.

  7. The main NFL relocation thread is rather large and let's be honest -- mostly about Los Angeles and the Rams. So, I thought since the Rams are officially in LA and we're now waiting for the Chargers decision (which will probably be an affirmative) that leaves the Raiders out there -- somewhere -- looking for a home.

Do they stay in Oakland? Do they move in with the 49ers? Replace the Chargers in San Diego? Or move into a new NFL market like London, San Antonio, Las Vegas, Portland -- or wherever?

So, I guess this thread is half speculation and half news on their situation.

  8. Lots of chatter on the interwebs about the Raiders looking into San Antonio. I know this was rumored last year, but with San Diego holding the cards for second LA franchise. This is interesting.

    Does Davis move for 2016?

Does he wait to see what Spanos does or just move to San Antonio?

Does Spano move in 2016 to LA? Does he wait his full year?

    Lots of questions ...

Personally, I think Spanos takes that year and tries to force the hand of Davis. I think he wants him to relocate elsewhere now so he can either make the move to LA or stay in SD without the threat of having a second franchise move in with the Rams.

Ideally, I'd like to Davis stay in Oakland, but I don't think that's going to happen. So if he moves to Texas that will be benefical for the Chargers to stay in San Diego and protect their "interests" and 25% business in the LA market.

Anyways -- I think San Antonio is probably the best market for the Raiders outside of LA to relocate. Of course there's also St. Louis, Las Vegas, Portland, Toronto, Orlando and Omaha that I could see supporting a team.

    What's everyone's thoughts?

Spanos' plan is not to force Davis elsewhere and then stay in SD so there won't be a second team in LA. There will be a second team in LA. If Davis were to move to STL (as opposed to some of the absurd cities on your list) then the league would get some other team to go to LA or expand.

Yeah, I see your point ... I guess more than what Spanos does I am interested to see what happens with the Raiders. I wouldn't be surprised to see them move to San Antonio this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did a one or two year lease at Levi's Stadium. I don't see that as a long term solution -- but, it could force the hand of Oakland to get something going with a new stadium.

But, if they're leaving Oakland -- it's San Antonio or San Diego in my opinion.

  10. I really think in the end the Chargers make the move north -- mainly to keep the Raiders out of LA. Especially if they truly believe it'd tap into their market too much to have two LA teams.

But, if/when they move it'd be interesting to see if they protected the San Diego market from a relocated or expansion team? Or at least ask for compensation to a new team?

It will be interesting to see what this means to the Raiders. I'd love to see them stay in the Bay Area, but if they moved LA would be, in my opinion, the only reasonable move.

But, who knows? San Diego? San Antonio? St. Louis? Portland? Las Vegas? Chicago?

  11. I think the Rams are a lock to go to LA. I feel that the Chargers have the next best chance. The Raiders will be the ones left out in the cold.

Agreed -- especially since the Raiders really teamed up with the Chargers because they can't afford to move themselves. Not sure what that means with the Chargers ... but, I see them eventually teaming up with the Rams in Inglewood. The only issue I see being there is Stan's willingness to share revenue and profits to Spanos liking.

As far as what that means for the Raiders? Not sure? I could see them sticking in the Bay Area teaming up with the 49ers in Santa Clara -- or building a new stadium in Oakland while temporarily playing in Santa Clara? I just have a hard time seeing them move to San Antonio, Oklahoma City, St. Louis, Portland or wherever. The only place that makes sense for Raider nation is the Bay Area or LA.
