  1. Wow, black uniforms at the **forefront of performance technology**! More teams should do this At least the reveal poses aren't nearly as douchey as Nike (you know: roaring, shooting out lightning bolts, etc.)
  2. I like them, especially the Red Sox away concept. Ever since the Mets wore these one-offs (even though the NY Giants were never part of their history), I've fallen in love with the giant two-letter jersey front.
  3. How do white or blue not make sense? I agree -- gray would just look forced.
  4. That uniform with the red helmet is not one of their best. And the Giants copycats are meh. I agree about the red helmets, but I do like the Giants-esque uniforms. It's a distinctive enough look in college football, anyway.
  5. I love OK State's embracement of modern design. They and Texas Tech are 2 of the leaders in terms of doing it right, imo. Maybe not 100%, but 90%, and that's good enough. I've never been a huge fan of the oversized helmet logo thing, but there's something about Pistol Pete that I find endearing. I think a lot of it has to do with most of the logo being white... So it blends in with the helmet color. Hmm...maybe, but I didn't mind the orange or black (a.k.a Zombie Pete) helmets either. In any case, I think it works! **EDIT: Then again, the "Zombie Pete" helmets weren't the oversized design.
  6. SDSU football has traditionally gone red/black/black at home, and don't want to change that. That's fine. Could have still had white pants with the white shirt. Or white pants with the inevitable red shirt. Just as long as we don't have an Oregon South or a Maryland West (you know, announcing that Week 5 is gonna be a special Huitzilopochtli uniform)
  7. Honestly, I prefer plain over "GRAY-OUT - POUND THE ROCK - SIC EM - BLACK SHADOW OPS" uniforms that just try to do way too much.
  8. Maybe it's just childhood nostalgia speaking, but in terms of real-life Super Bowl uniform matchups, I remember really liking Super Bowl XXXVIII. The white vs. blue really popped on the newly-laid turf of Reliant Stadium.
  9. I love OK State's embracement of modern design. They and Texas Tech are 2 of the leaders in terms of doing it right, imo. Maybe not 100%, but 90%, and that's good enough. 10. It's definitely better, but it screams "warm and cuddly teddy bear" to me.
  11. I've always LOVED EWU's logo, it's a perfect mix of simplicity and creativity! (Though, admittedly, I had no idea there even was an Eastern Washington until they beat Oregon State...)
  12. I was thinking the same thing. The Eagles' green looked good against the Panthers. It wasn't the ugly, blah color they had before. Problem tough, it didn't match the helmets. But, it's an improvement...still inferior to Kelly Green. Give me this look any day over this new template. At least the helmet and jersey are similar in color compared to the images above. Better yet, I'd rather have these Reebok jersey's back: Aren't those the EXACT same with different league/sponsor patches? Yes. They're even made by the same company (Ripon?) I believe. I think the matte jerseys look much better. I always thought the green jersey with the shiny material looked way too dark. It almost looked black. The black trim on the neck and sleeves blended in with the green jersey. It was even difficult for me to tell when they wore their black alternate jerseys. The green helmets and black jerseys looked similar in color to me. I think the black "pops" a lot more on the matte jerseys. I remember watching an afternoon game between Philadelphia and Washington and it took me at least two minutes beyond kickoff to tell if they were wearing black or green. (And on another note, the friends I have up in Philadelphia all LOVE the black jerseys; I don't get it.)
  13. With the stricter helmet rules, at least the Packers aren't taking the "we'll just wear our normal home helmet with throwback uniforms" route.
  14. Wow, at first glance, I thought that was a black and white photo with certain elements left in color for effect. I like it! Is this something new for the NCAA? (Non-traditionally colored courts)?
  15. The mid-1990's summed up in one picture. You can almost hear the synthesizer in the background
