  1. I use Inkscape and it works great for me. The downside is, it's a vector program, so you need .svg or .ai logos, which can be hard to find.
  2. You mean their last game? Welp, missed that. It just seems when someone posts what Colorado is going to wear, it's usually grey.It does seem like they've been wearing more grey than gold.
  3. Could you explain what you mean by "less subtle"? I've included it everywhere I thought I might've overdone it. And I meant for it to be a bit more gold, under the lights the look gets muddled because the bronze looks brown. The bronze-gold color makes the whole thing look brighter.
  4. Sparty! I took the Greek pattern on the current uniforms and ran with it. I was hoping to create an identity, as no other major college or NFL team uses it. Black is removed from the bronze alternate as well.
  5. Should the name I choose be in the local language, or English?
  6. A lot of helmet stripes have that, it's actually a piece that didn't get covered by the stripe.
  7. Both updates are great. I especially like the Jaguar spots for Jacksonville. I like the Chiefs, but what's going on with the top of the pant stripe? Maybe try to make it go all the way through, instead of branching off at the end there.
  8. I guarantee you, that would ONLY happen for football. The football program's identity is somewhat separate from the other athletics. Looking up some basketball and baseball photos, that seems right. Thanks! Welcome to the boards! I think your first attempt was far better. It's not really a concept, either, if all you really did was change the numbers on the road playoff jersey's shoulders to black and kept everything else the same. Just needed the tweaks I mentioned to make your first attempt at a modernization perfect, IMO. Also, the Buckeye Leafs start on the left side of the helmet (if you're looking at the back). Like I said, I went back on the modernization because I felt Ohio State had a lot of tradition that I didn't want to mess with.
  9. Arizona: Make the sleeve pattern a little less subtle, it's barely noticeable. Jacksonville. Put something on the sleeves, even if it's just moving the numbers. The sleeves will look a lot better with something on it.
  10. Huskies in gold/white/purple EDIT: This is a great looking game. No black, and the purple and gold clashes great with the classic red Stanford unis.
  11. Washington Huskies going blackout vs Arizona next week: Horrible video. Horrible kickoff time. Horrible uniforms. And did anyone notice how many triple stripes there were in there?
  12. Thanks! And I like the rivalry unis too. That's why I kept them in the update. -Update: Black socks for the blackout. It ties in the blackout better. - Tried the Dawg on the helmet.
  13. NOOO!!! No black for Washington or UCLA. That is the very definition of BFBS.
  14. I agree, though I doubt they'll end up doing it. Anyone else before I move on?
  15. Arizona State: No complaints. Arizona: The red color looks a little off, more tomato and less cherry than it should be to put it in fruit terms. Cal: Again, no complaints. Nice clean look. Colorado: Throw in a black helmet and pants for the road set. Oregon: Take the gradient off the logo and numbers, and you have what might be the best Oregon concept I've ever seen. Oregon State: I don't really get what's going on with the sleeve stripes, just get rid of that weird twist. Stanford: Can't view it UCLA: Gorgeous. Can't understand why they don't do this. USC: The little modernization in there works. Nice job. Utah: Like the others said, bring back the mountain, and I'd add that you should remove the piping. UW: Words can't begin to describe how I feel when I see my Dawgs in the perfect uniforms. Bravo. WSU: I don't like the Cougars, but I have to say there are a lot of ways to mess them up, and you didn't go for them. Nice work.
  16. Nike had a good idea with TCU, but executed it poorly. I decided to get rid of the frogskin pattern anyway, though part of that had to do with me not being able to find a photo to trace. Anyway, red makes a comeback as a trim color, I did that to separate them from Northwestern and because it contrasts the purple nicely. The frog is on the sleeves, which are capped with a contrasting color, something I took from their previous set. Finally, a blackout set replaces the grey one.
  17. I went back on my idea for a modernized Ohio State. Okay, so you gotta be wondering why. I went looking for some inspiration for things to incorporate into the update when I decided Ohio State is simply not a team to be messed with. All the great teams from the 60s, 70s, and 80s used similar designs, and I decided tradition was the way to go with the Buckeyes. I kept the Pro Combat, though, because I still like it.

    Fixing the Big 10

I think it's supposed to be bronze.
  19. Wow...Seahawks/Panthers aren't on the worst list? This is surprising.
  20. The biggest gripe people would have with this set is the same problem they have with the team's current jerseys: the lack of gray on the sleeves. As much as I like the regular set having single-colored numbers, I think the modern take needs to have the outlines (especially because of the lack of gray on the jersey and on the black set; wouldn't be enough contrast). The helmet and pant stripes look better here than they would if you used the current helmet and pants stripes, too, because the black stripe is thicker in your concept. It ties in with the jersey in a way that I don't think the current helmet and pants would, if that makes sense. Also, I assume the comment about the helmet stickers is because they're on the wrong side? hah Yeah I agree, but I didn't want to change because, like I said, I wanted to keep tradition. I will add a grey outline though. And yes, the helmet stickers are on the wrong side. Sorry, not taking requests. I have been considering doing Texas though. __taylorc made it and allowed me to use it, you'll have to ask him.
