  1. To me, it sounds like the opposite. Every team (including the Lakers) must have a white "association: jersey, but nothing is stopping a team from having a gold jersey for one of their other three and using it as their primary jersey at home.
  2. It said that all 30 teams will have white "association: jerseys. I take it this means that the Lakers' exemption to wear a gold home/"association" jersey is over? My guesses Lakers - white association, gold icon, purple athlete, black community ("Hollywood Nights" set). Cavaliers - white association, wine icon, navy blue athlete, black community (color they wore when they won the title), I could see them try to get on the "classic" rotation as often as possible with one of their early home jerseys to keep gold in the rotation.
  3. The construction is also that of a souvenir cap, as I noted above. I think the official road cap is yet to be unveiled.
  4. My other thoughts Logo - not bad,but the shadow on the nickname is unnecessary. Home uniform - cap logo is too large, but that's been an issue with Frontier League cap logos for almost two decades (Canton Crocodiles had the same issue), rest of uniform is great Road uniform - would've preferred a gray jersey with a purple third with "Crushers" on the front, but does anybody in the FL have a gray jersey?, otherwise not bad
  5. Comparing the construction and design of the two hats, I think the one worn with the road unis is a souvenir cap. It's a low crown cap (not even "5950 low crown but still looks like a game cap", but "souvenir cap low crown") with a pre-curved brim and the full primary logo. I've never seen a baseball game cap like that.
  6. Could a team develop a new logo on their own or come up with their own uniform design (or plan to return to a prior one) and tell reebok/adidas "make this to our specs" or does reebok/adidas have veto power on logos/uniforms?
  7. That said, commissioners can influence such things. It's not a coincidence that the first 21st century ugly MLB uniform came right on the heels of Selig retiring as commissioner.
  8. Am I the only person seeing significant similarities to the RoboPenguin here?
  9. If this becomes the main international tournament, could it spell the end for the IIHF/national federations? If it doesn't, could the NHL become an 'outlaw" league (i.e. playing one game in the NHL, AHL, or ECHL blacklists you from competing in the Olympics or Worlds)?
  10. I can tell you it's not mythical (have been in thundersnow a couple of times*), but I agree that it's a bad nickname. *Cleveland weather is insane. We have weather phenomena here that happen very few other places (like lake effect precipitation).
  11. Are they going to have teams wear Color Rush uniforms on Thanksgiving or do the four Thanksgiving teams not playing on Thursday Night Football the next week get to skip Color Rush?
  12. Two thoughts: - Do we have official confirmation from either team of what they're wearing in the HOF game? - Has anyone heard a schedule of Color Rush games? I'm assuming it will be all Thursday games except the Kickoff game and TNF the week after Thanksgiving (two Thanksgiving Day teams playing each other), as this would be the easiest way to have all 32 teams wear Color Rush uniforms once.
  13. I'm assuming if the Cowboys ever have to give up a home date for a London game that this would not be the case.
  14. Lindor was shown wearing the striped socks on Sports Extra (9:45 sports show on the MyNetworkTV affiliate - produced by the CBS affiliate news department - here in Cleveland). Too bad the Browns haven't brought back the striped socks as well. The uniform change would have been a good time to do it (would've also allowed three sock options and thus even more uni combinations).
  15. Thanks for correcting me. I'm not sure where I heard that they didn't, but it was obviously incorrect.
  16. The English are much more restrictive about sports team/league intellectual property. If I recall correctly, newspapers (in the UK) can't publish schedules because those are team/league property. You have to get them from an official website or magazine (and I'm not sure if you can legally print it from the website). Also, the right to show highlights are sold like the rights to live/full tape-delayed games.
  17. No. It's a massive downgrade from last year's.
