    What a week, so many missed opportunities. Indiana wearing ALL red Mizzou choosing this flimsy, awful looking white script on a yellow helmet Utah wearing black instead of red Along side a plethora of brutal alternates... woof. Ready or not, here we go, #1: Pitt vs VT Maybe clean up the striping on VT a but, but gorgeous matchup regardless. #2: NW vs Wisconsin Unpopular opinion- Northwestern's Gothic alternate us the best alternate in CFB. Would like to see purple jersey with black/gold accents and some stripes on the pants, but still love it. Wisconsin in red pants should be used way more. #3: Bama vs TA&M Just looks classic. A&M will make it up here often with the right opponent. A lot of bad, hold your breath we're going in. Dishonorable Mention #1: ISU vs KSU I am so sick of these cyclone uniforms. Nothing else to say, Kansas State did nothing wrong. Dishonorable Mention #2: OSU vs TTU Bad decisions were made by many people. Dishonorable Mention #3: ND vs BYU Mostly on BYU for this placement, but not a whole lot of love for these ND alternates. Could've looked real nice. Dishonorable Mention #4: Tennessee vs LSU Criminal use of bad alternates.

    I'll be honest, this was a pretty unappetizing week. There was only one game that really wow-ed me, and a whole lot of "meh". Arkansas vs Bama and Miss State vs A&M will not be on the list, for good or for bad. I know they both looked scrimmage-y, but individually they're all still great looks. Oregon's colors looked great, but the actual designs look like their from a Wal Mart discount bin. No thank you. #1: Mizzou vs Georgia Great contrast, great "pop". Mizzou in all-black just looks right to me, with the right opponent Georgia could always be up here. #2: Penn State vs Northwestern This was the opposite of "pop"... but it worked. The aura of "Big Ten Football" was strong here, from Penn State's classic unis to the October downpour. Don't think it would've been this high up in other weeks, but in a pretty "meh" week it climbs up the rankings. #3: UCLA vs Washington If this was a day game, it would've vaulted to #2. Even under the lights it was a spicy matchup, glad UDub was in purple pants. Honorable Mention: TCU vs Oklahoma Loved the colors, loved the sunshine, hate when TCU goes chrome. If they had stuck to their normal helmets, would've been top 3. As is, still a really fun-looking game. Dishonorable Mention: Baylor vs Oklahoma State Do I even need to say anything? Put Baylor in any combo of yellow AND green, and give OSU some more orange/black, and this might be top 3. Hugely disappointing, borderline illegal.

    We'll see how this goes! Sticking with a Top 3, honorable mention, and "dishonorable mention". #1: Tennessee vs Florida Every game should look this good. Lots of color, contrasting helmets and pants, different shades of the same color, spectacular. #2: Oklahoma vs Kansas State No dumb woodgrain alternates for OU, no white helmets for K-State. Just good clean fun. #3: Oregon State vs USC This is the unpopular take- I like OSU's set, especially when there's generous amounts of orange used. USC is classic, and the clash of classic and modern is nice. Honorable Mention: Washington vs Stanford Red stanford pants would be the cherry on top, but this is nice enough looking on its own. U-Dub really improved on their look in recent years, good stuff! Dishonorable Mention: Washington State vs Oregon You put WSU in crimson and gray, Oregon in apple and yellow, and this is on the "best of" list. Way to ruin a good thing Dishonorable Mention #2: Florida State vs Boston College If its deserving, I'll add a second dishonorable mention. If you intentionally go out of your way to make the game look like a scrimmage, you're on the list. Boo.

    Morning Slot games Mich vs Maryland- C- Marylands details get lost at a distance and the Maize accessories for UM look gross Wake vs Clemson- B Clemson away always looks solid. I’ve gotten used to Wakes chrome gold helmets, all black wouldn’t have looked that much better. Mizzou vs Auburn- B- Both uniforms look solid on their own, just not a lot of color pop. Could’ve used more orange or yellow somewhere. Iowa State vs Baylor- C- (almost a D+) I’m so bored with both of these uniforms. Lame. CMU vs Penn State- C Wasn’t expecting a lot, didn’t get a lot. Whole lotta white. BGSU vs Miss State- B+ BGSU looks surprisingly good, LOTS of color and really slick helmets. Cool throwbacks for state. At least interesting details to look at. TCU vs SMU- B I think SMU’s Dallas set is kinda overrated, but contrast nicely with TCUs colors. Restrained on TCUs end, I love the helmets. KU vs Duke- D+ Pttttthhhhh. Duke looks awful, I was actually hoping Kansas used red to differentiate from Duke but this ain’t it.

    These are pretty damn great, perfect shades of blue and orange. Not a lot of C&C, only swap would be orange numbers on the west instead of blue. Great concept, great presentation!

    I’d love to see the helmet stripe have that same lizard scale pattern, besides that these are all as usual excellent.

    I think this is a really interesting question to dive in to. There’s really not another sport quite as obsessed with BFBS as football. In my opinion, people really do associate all black with a “mindset shift” and looking more badass and intimidating. What’s puzzling is just how long it’s stayed around, it’s such a consistent fad it’s not even a fad. Especially considering how the best, most intimidating teams in the sport don’t utilize BFBS (ravens are a primary culprit in this).

    I like the general idea. The wine and gold are real nice, and I think the split numbers look good as well. It just looks so incomplete. Gimme sone musketeer/French gold flourish pattern on the collars, or some really simple side panels. SOMETHING! The black jersey is awful, it really does seem like they wore it in the championship game just so they could use black more if they won

    I think the UM aways would look better with no white spaces between the yellow/blue striping, and no blue cuffs. Like the idea! I always prefer the throwback striping to the modern striping for OSU, but love the green stickers

    CMU is very nice, subtle use of the feather which ended up looking great. Would like to see just a little more yellow for western, but the overall vibe is very solid
