  1. Ahh Hockey is back and the Phoenix Coyotes are the biggest source of NHL embarassment again. I can just picture the goalie asking their GM Who Own Coyotes?
  2. I hope the Catholic 7 can coax Boston College or Sienna to join to make it 8.
  3. Just thought I put this here to show how I m covering this absurdity History of the Coyotes http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com/nhl/phxaz/coyotes.html
  4. Gary Bettman wants that statue in Glendale for saving the Coyotes that is where all 10 people who think he is a good comish live.
  5. Cool name for the font the Devils are using
  6. Wiki lifts my summaries in several places BTW I also have several logo you may be able to use
  7. Linking to a site that provides history team by team would help
  8. It's not entirely his fault, but He was supposed to play his entire career here. The franchise was supposed to build a dominant team around him and he was gonna get a statue outside Nationwide Arena. Doug Maclean, and Scott Howson, combined with Nash's never quite living up to his expectations (partly due to never having capable teammates) led us to this point and it's unfortunate. I came to terms with him leaving months ago, but actually seeing it is hard. On the plus side, looks like I made the correct choice a couple years ago with my Nash-Umberger jersey dilemma. I dont know why or how, but the Blue Jackets have been :censored:ed up since day 1, how can a team be run so poorly is stunning, they have never had a chance, and I believe Ohio can work as a hockey market just they need someone smart to run the team and to stick to a plan.
  9. This thread should be named All My Coyotes because it has turned into a Soap Oprea
  10. The Israelites wandered through the desert for 40 years before reaching the Promised Land; whereas the Phoenix Coyotes bankruptcy and ownership saga is not even 5 years old. Im sure at 5 years the Isrealites thought there saga would end soon any way, and if they only listened to Saul's wife Silvia they may have been there sooner.
  11. Wow I dont think the Isrealites wandered the desert this long waiting for Moses to find the promissed land after smashing the ten comandments, and spliting the red sea.
  12. That is a great uniform, the Suns need to bring them out as a throwback every now and then.
  13. Dr. J in the ATL Julius Erving signed and played briefly with the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks contract was ruled in invalid by the courts. This episode was very expensive to the Hawks. The NBA fined the Hawks $100,000 and required them to pay $150,000 to the Milwaukee Bucks in addition to two second round picks in the 1976 draft.
  14. The man in front is still upset they cancelled Hee Haw.
  15. Calling Barry Goldwater a real American, Devils avitar I think Icecap is turning into me
  16. If the team moves, then Glendale can use the arena for concerts etc without having to pay the exorbitant hockey subsidy. I've seen reports that the city could actually make money on the arena if they didn't have to support the Coyotes. Having lived 10 minutes from the arena and based on the number and type of non-Coyotes events that roll through the Jobber, I have a hard time believing that. Unless they make money by simply not turning things on. Most of the higher profile events go on at the Univervisty of Phoenix Stadium, US Airways Arena, and even the Ashley Furninture Pavilion. I don't know how many more of those events would transfer to the Jobber, but I just don't see that. Jobbing.Com Arena University of Phoenix Stadium Ashley Furniture Pavillion Is it me or does Arizona have the absolute worst sponsorhip venue names.
  17. That's gotta be a rare shot. An AL pitcher batting pre-Interleague Play? I wonder if this was an Exhibition game, or just some crazy late-game scenario where the DH got pinch-hit for or was unavailable or one of those deals. It was taken at Dodger stadium, so it may have been a Angels-Dodgers two game series before the season started, which was common before interleague. According to Baseball Reference, Abbott never made a plate appearance for the Angels, so this must have been some kind of exhibition. Look at the dugout in the background that is Dodger Stadium
