  1. St. Louis should be the Vipers and Tampa should be the Pythons, brother!
  2. I’m just a humble board member, don’t know much about ad buying and all, but these border ads are the worst ad unit I’ve ever seen. The bottom banner ads are slightly annoying but a minor inconvenience. These border ads make me want to throw my phone at the wall. It makes the site nearly unusable on mobile.
  3. Why didn't you go to the CCSLC technical issues/tech support thread?
  4. I get this Amazon pop-up often, from two sites: PWinsider.com and this one.
  5. PS, with the drafting of stables/tag teams, I think you'll see it move pretty quickly.

  6. Hey, dude. So here's what I'm thinking for the supplemental draft.

We go an additional 13 rounds. BUT, starting in the 14th round (after our initial scheduled draft concludes), you can draft tag teams/stables as a complete unit. However, doing so spends a draft pick for each member chosen.

So, for example, let's say you choose the Social Outcasts (Bo Dallas, Heath Slater, Curtis Axel) in round 14. That counts as your picks for round 15 and 16, too. I would then draft three in a row to even the scorecard.

And just like currently, you still could draft individual members – so let's say you really want Axel, but not the other two. That's fine. Just draft Curtis with your 14th round pick and then you'll have your 15th as scheduled.

    Make sense and sound good?

That's a great idea... It will make things easier at that point. Plus, it'll allow either one to take the team, like New Day, without any issues.

  7. The more I think about it, the more I think it might be fun to just go head-to-head in a thread, and have a little back-and-forth analysis between the two of us after every pick. Like a combination of Kiper/McShay doing their two man mock drafts with those old email conversations Bill Simmons would do with Malcom Gladwell on Grantland from time-to-time.

Or we could skip the whole thing. Not sure how interested anybody else is in participating in the mock anyway.

Good. That's what I was thinking, glad you're aligned.

      Alright, you're up.

      You still with this?

  8. I used to hate Skip Bayless as a person. I don't anymore, because I no longer think of him as an arrogant, idiotic sports shouter. I now think of him as an actor, playing the role of loudmouth troll. I still hate Skip Bayless, but now it's just the character he plays.
  9. Yeah, there are other things they do at the Dome. Lots of conventions. The NCAA men's basketball tournament has had rounds played in St. Louis. It won't sit vacant and unused.
  10. I'm in a fantasy league with 11 Rams fans and their text chain is blowing up my phone. In short, they're far more pissed off at the NFL and Kroenke than they are upset about the Rams leaving. I feel bad for them, and all the other Rams fans in St. Louis -- contrary to popular belief, there are many.
  11. Gary Bettman didn't screw Quebec. Quebec screwed Quebec.
  12. Consider the source, but if true, great. Trade one desert market for another (one that short of a game fixing scandal couldn't possibly be more of an embarrassment). Then expand to Quebec and Seattle and call it a day.
  13. Well at least I'm relatively certain the new Vegas club won't institute zip code blackouts on ticket purchases for visiting fans.
  14. Now I admittedly haven't been following this too much, but this has to be a bridge for the B1G, right? You don't get Maryland and Rutgers and hang a big "Mission Accomplished!" banner, right? These are the teams #13 and #14 you get when you have a clear plan to go to 16 teams in mind, right?
  15. I was thinking that the biggest shame would be the loss of one of my favorite logos in sports. But I think the Quebec Devils logo could work out well. A couple horns on top of the circle, the stem becomes the devil's tail. I'm on board. I look forward to somebody working up a pitchfork/fleur de lis combo logo for the secondary. This is gonna be great for the Concepts forum. Vive le Diable!
  16. I'm not really sure what there is to debate. At least from my perspective anyway. I want the Rams to succeed. I want the NFL to stay in St. Louis. I'd love for St. Louis fans to "prove me wrong." All I did was post experiences I've had. You can't debate what I've seen firsthand. Of course, you may be speaking to other posters. If that's the case, keep calm and carry on.
  17. I think you might be right there. The Rams staying in St. Louis would be "leaving a team for dead"? I don't think anybody who matters believes that one. OK, the Rams aren't dead, they're just the victims of benign neglect by the St. Louis fanbase. I'm sure those bandwagoning fair-weather so-called fans that apparently are just waiting for a Super Bowl trip to re-emerge can find some sock monkey or another to assuage their loss. Hey Mizzou joined the SEC...that's big time enough. I tend to agree with rams80. I'm relatively unbiased...a Chicagoan Packers fan who just happens to live in St. Louis...and I don't know ONE person who's more into the Rams than the St. Louis Baseball Cardinals. Most of those Cardinals-preferers only follow the Rams in passing. I know more about the Rams than everybody at my office of 50+ people. I've been to four Rams games in my few years here, and I've never seen an even almost-full stadium, and by my estimations, I've never seen more than a 70/30 split in favor of the Rams. Matter of fact, I scored free tickets to the Bears game a couple seasons ago, and it looked like a Rams road game. In my experience, people in St. Louis live and die by the Cards' success, and kinda think it'd be nice if the Rams did okay this year.
  18. Prove it. Can't prove this guy's a liberal, but he's from California so there's a good chance: http://www.goldenstateofmind.com/2008/12/9/687886/i-admittedly-don-t-follow He doesn't follow hockey, but thinks it's barbaric and gets a pass for it because it's primarily white guys playing it.
  19. Frank's Red Hot or Texas-style BBQ for me. This might sound weird but tartar sauce is my dip of choice for fries. That does sound weird. BBQ sauce for me, too. Sweet Baby Ray's. Or even McDonald's BBQ sauce.
  20. Hey, admiral: how would you feel about putting a subtitle on the thread? I almost ignored the thread completely until I saw how much action it was getting in a relatively short time.
  21. And despite it's small market, Green Bay was involved in the #1 and #5 most watched games of the year. They're usually a good national draw.
