I get that almost all people hated black for the Royals but it has never really bothered me. None of those uniforms using black look bad to me. I actually kinda like them. I love the vest/colered sleeve look for KC as well.

This is the worst non one day uniform in the Royals history.

I still dont want the Big XII to expand. Nobody they could add would make the conference better money wise. I also think it would be just fine if they stuck with 10 teams and a championship game. Althlugh I dont like the championship game either since it could harm a teams chances just as much as it could help them. Although if the conference blew up i could see KU in the Big XII and K-State in the AAC. Which I would be happy with so whatever...

Yeah I don't like this. I can't wait until a 0 or 1 loss team looses to a 3-4 loss team and we're left out of the playoffs...

Here is the Kansas schools minus Pittsburg State which was mentioned in an earlier post.
Newman Jets (Wichita, KS)
Washburn Ichabods and Lady Blues (Topeka, KS)
Emporia State Hornets and Lady Hornets (Emporia, KS)
Fort Hays State Tigers (Hays, KS)
I love that Kansas doesnt do something stupid like University of Kansas at Emporia, Hays, Wichita, ect. It bugs me to see athletic identities like that.

For s sake, they already have one Kansas school that is horrible at football and good at basketball, why the should they add another?
Hey Wichita State has not lost since 1986....

Luckily for Wichita State they already have a stadium. Even if it needs renovation it is a good start. Plus we have the Koch's to bankroll the team.

Does anyone have any idea what this is? I have been told circus but after checking it does not look similar.
Thanks in advance.

Looking for a bit of feedback on a side project I have going.
Essentially what I'm trying to do is create a fantasy AAA league for an historical MLB league. Rather than simply going with the basic model of assigning the teams strictly to the largest cities without an MLB team, I'm trying to follow the Braves/Mariners model a bit more, where the AAA team is in a suburb of the parent club's city. I don't do this in every case, but if I were a team like the Twins for instance, I would seriously be looking into moving my AAA team from Rochester to St. Paul if they haven't already done so. Whether or not they actually could is another story for a whole bunch of reasons that I don't care to get into and for the sake of this project doesn't matter. This is more concerned about assuming those logistical issues were aside what would you do.
Obviously I'm looking for more feedback with some teams than others. The Nashville Sounds and Portland Beavers are good as is for example. But there's others like the Tigers AAA team, where Warren is simply a suggestion. I've never been to Detroit and know very little about the surrounding area. All I know about Warren its that its a highly populated high crime area north of the city with an affluent area in the northwest part of the city, which is where I would probably build the park if one were to actually exist. In terms of how feasible it is that it could actually support a AAA team I really don't know. Would Auburn Hills or Pontiac be better choices? I don't know enough about the area to say for sure.
That's about as flexible as I'm going to be with location moves though. Whether or not Buffalo be a better choice for a AAA team than suburban Montreal isn't a debate I'm interested in having. The cities are what they are. Same thing with the MLB affiliates, although I will switch up teams if there is a net overall benefit. (ie. the combined distance between the MLB club and the AAA teams are reduced) Same thing with division alignments.

Didn't see Wichita State's baseball stadium in here anywhere. Very interesting way to deal with all of the accomplishments. Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Championships on the left, NCAA Tournament Appearances on the right. In particular I really like the commas, as it assumes that they'll keep adding more. Not sure what they'll do after they win 2 move MVC titles.
With Todd Butler they will have more than enough time to figure this out. Also I'm not sure if those are MVC tournament championships or regular season ones. It's been awhile since I've been there.
Edit:Yeah that's tournament titles. I wonder why they don't show the regular season ones.

I have no problem with Iowa copying the Steleers. They got permission and have never really had any other look they could call their own. The next closest thing is when they used Northwestern stripes but there's the obvious problem with that. Iowa has no need to change. Except for maybe black pants and a yellow uniform.

Colored pants look good in baseball. For alternates.

Football- Patriots because Tom Brady was/is my favorite player. I also loved history and the Patriots in the revolutionary war helped. Chiefs because they are the local team that most of my family likes. Bears because that's my dad's team. In the CFL it's Calgary and Hamilton. Calgary because I like the city, and Jon Cornish, and Hamilton because I like the identity and Brandon Banks is another favorite player. In arena it's the Rattlers because I like the identity and have a little soft spot for Phoenix teams.
Baseball- Royals because they are the local team and the Cubs because they are my dad's team. In the minors it's Quad Cities, my dad's hometown, and Hillsboro because I love the name. My favorite team ever was the Wichita Wranglers but they moved back in 07.
Basketball-I can't stand NBA basketball at all so I watch euroleague. My team is CSKA Moscow because Sasha Kansas went there from KU.
Hockey- Blackhawks cause they are my dad's team. Avalanche because I thought they were closest to me and Peter Forsberg. Flames because I loved to play with them in NHL 2K5 and Coyotes because the soft spot for Phoenix teams and something makes me want to see them succeed. Plus their first identity. And if the Whalers and Scouts came back you could add them to my list.
Soccer- ASRoma. When I picked a big club team I didn't want to go with one of the supergiants most people here in the US pick. When I was in Europe I loved Italy and specifically Rome. Also Sporting Kansas City because they are local. FC Wichita is my hometown club for the lower levels.
Rugby Union- Leicester Tigers and Cardiff Blues. I can't really explain these I just read the history and really liked them. Also Wichita Barbarians for being local.
College- KU because both my parents graduated from there. K-State because my mom's side of the family supports them and Iowa because my dad's side of the family supports them. Wichita State for being the hometown team. Boise State because of the awesome blue turf. North Dakota because when I started following college hockey they just appealed to me being a Midwestern school. Notre Dame because I'm Catholic and they are one of the biggest Catholic schools. And finally Fort Hays State because that's where I'm currently attending school.
National teams I support the USA but other than that I go for European teams. Specifically the ones where my family ia from. France, Belgium, Poland, Germany, and England.

Haha so I'm not the only one that feels this way sometimes!I don't have a single care in the world for striping consistency. I actually prefer when things are inconsistent just to make you people squirm
-
I only agree with you on Edmonton's current identify. Anything else...wow
Seriously.
You don't know how unpopular this is? Seriously?I don't know how unpopular this is, but there are a number of CFL identities that I really like.
-
I like letter logos representing the teams name not the location. Some great examples are the Arizona Diamondbacks D and the Arizona Rattlers R

Ah indeed I did. My apologies. You know I kinda wish the A's had stayed in KC. Then I would have 4 World Series to look back on instead of one.
No. What I meant was the As were in Kansas City and Warriors were in San Francisco.
The Warriors were never in KC that was the Kings who were the Cincinnati Royals.
New York metropolian area technicality has nine teams now (Yankees, Mets, Giants, Jets, Knicks, Nets, Rangers, Islanders, and Devils).During his career, Nolan Ryan recorded exactly 5,000 more strikeouts than Babe Ruth hit home runs (5,714 / 714).
The originally intended name for the Dallas Cowboys was the Texas Rangers.
The Chicago White Sox and San Francisco Giants each were tentatively sold to buyers who would have moved them to Tampa, but in each case MLB stepped in to prevent it.
At one point in the early history of the NBA, the city of Chicago (six - Cubs, White Sox, Bears, Cardinals, Black Hawks, Zephyrs) was home to more "big four" professional sports franchises than any other city, equalled only by New York (Dodgers, Giants, Yankees, Giants, Knickerbockers, Rangers).
Philadelphia is the only city (I think - I'm writing this at 5am while half-asleep so I could be wrong about this one) to have lost both professional baseball (A's) and basketball (Warriors) franchises, yet which has both professional baseball (Phillies) and basketball (76ers) franchises today.
By the time they had taken the court as an expansion team, the Miami Heat had already signed a player to a contract whose total value exceeded its expansion fee (Rony Seikaly - sp?)
Both the As and Warriors are in Oakland after making stops in Kansas City and San Francisco.
As were Philadelphia (1901-1954), Kansas City (1955-1967), and Oakland (1968-present).
Warriors were Philadelphia (1946-1963), San Francisco (1963-1975), and Oakland (1975-present). You misunderstood me.

After watching last nights CFL game I love the idea of the Eskimos going green-white-green on the road. Just fix those darn jerseys.
-
Was watching the 86 Stanley cup finals and I realized that I just don't like the Flames origional uniforms. Red and yellow is a beautiful color scheme by itself and it works for teams like Chiefs but it just looks wierd with the Flames. I defenatly think they need a little bit of black.
-
I don't get the hate for cream. I think it looks better than white in a lot of cases. I was about to get a Remparts jersey before they switched to white.

I have tried it a few times in madden and I have to say that the Chicago Bears look pretty good in orange pants.
-
I like the Yankees' BP cap with the gray bill. A little variety every now and then is not going to ruin their precious "traditions."
This. I would love it if more teams changes things up just a little for a game or two a year. A perfect example in my mind would be Alabama's white helmets. They don't look bad and it would be a nice change for only one or two games per year.

I will agree that they never should have worn it in the first place but that doesnt mean that it is bad by default.
