We've been referred to as the "Bold City" for a while after the "Bold New City of the South" slogan from the late 60's when the city and county were consolidated. The name has had a renaissance in the area in the last decade.
BTW Most of everyone locally hates the name change and logo, I know I do as well.

The Southern Bell demise was gradual. The beginning of the end began as "Southern Bell...a Bellsouth company" on their literature and products. Then the inevitable dropping of SB altogether and the complete switch to BellSouth for several years. Until they were eventually merged into AT&T.
I miss Southernbell I remember all the payphones and different stuff saying " Southern Bell a BELLsouth company " then finally it like they phased out the Southern Bell name overnight.

Right jersey, wrong #.
Hines as a rookie
I have a feeling we will be seeing more of Mr. Ward on this thread soon enough....
I'm not sure about that, Ward may have played his last game in the NFL. As the Steelers all-time leading receiver, and future inductee into Canton, there isn't anything to be gained by continuing to play. However, numerous great players have finished with other teams, from Jerry Rice to Earl Campbell. Campbell was especially jarring to watch in #35, with the Saints.
Man he is leaving the Steelers right when his Nike jersey would be back in style geez !! ?

The Chargers should just wear yellow pants at home and on the road, promote the powder blue to the regular home jersey, and eliminate the navy crap entirely. Keep it on as a trim color, but nothing else.
LOL I was just saying that to my coworker who is a big Chargers fan ( just he is more classic powder/collegiate blue fan ) but I agree try need to whip out the old yellow pants at least as an alt pants set.
Logos associated with failure.
