  1. These are the kinds of posts that make this thread great. I never knew he wore this uniform.
  2. I guess I’m an unreasonable person then. I was born in 1990, so my first memories of John Elway are in that uniform. Any other photos/highlights immediately go to my mind as “early in his career.”
  3. But that *is* Elway’s “right” uniform (though white pants are probably more accurate). Won two Super Bowls in that set.
  4. Had a similar feeling when Nick Markakis left town, too.
  5. To be fair, Bell will never be associated with the uniforms in his photoshops and Machado (as mentioned) will only wear that for one season. Harper and the new Jets uniforms are a different story, though.
  6. They should leave it up year-round since Mercedes-Benz Stadium’s other tenant doesn’t have a banner to display.
  7. SIU’s new logo looks great on its helmets, too:
  8. Hard to believe the Heat have been wearing the same uniforms (aside from the league-high number of alternates during the LeBron years and Nike’s new batch of alternates) for nearly 20 years.
  9. I was a big fan of the wine and metallic gold era, especially the navy blue alternate they added a few years later. I might say *that* is what comes to mind when I think of LeBron. Just hard to go against the success he had with the Heat.
  10. That’s a massive upgrade over what SIU has used for almost 20 years.
  11. Which begs the question, which is LeBron’s correct jersey? I’d choose Miami’s set, because that’s where he was most successful. If you choose Cleveland, you presumably have to pick the black-sleeved jersey he won a championship in — which is unfortunate. The rest of that set was probably the worst of his two Cavalier tenures. And you’re certainly not going to choose Los Angeles, at least not anytime soon.
  12. I don't mind ads on uniforms, unless it's the predominant logo (like soccer, the WNBA).
  13. Nice of Nike to repurpose their overstock Marquette King Raiders jerseys.
  14. I wouldn't consider the Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans a bright-colored team. The shade of blue is more of a soft pastel, rather than neon, like the Carolina Panthers.
  15. I love the Charlotte Hornets’ teal and purple, but felt the addition of yellow when the franchise was in New Orleans helped separate the eras and — as you can see with the Pelicans’ City Edition — really fits... well... the city.
  16. The entire Cleveland Cavaliers roster from 2008-2010 played with LeBron and his father, Delonte West. The actual answer is: Moses Malone - Rick and Jon Barry; Bimbo Coles - Milt and Dajuan Wagner; and Ron Artest/Metta World Peace - Tim Hardaway Sr. and Jr. This is the first time it's been for the same franchise, though.
  17. Have to imagine most animal logos — or the logos of any European sports car — will fit the bill.
  18. Conference logos weren’t even on the field for the conference championships. It looked like both games were the “NFL Championship” instead.
  19. Like the Hawks, he’ll never play a game with them. Interesting turn of events given he probably should have picked the Bulls as a free agent five years ago.
  20. Have to imagine it’ll be something farming-related, whether an anamorphic animal or piece of farming equipment (likely created by Brandoise, which means it’s bound to be swinging or holding a baseball bat).
