I really thought they couldn’t do any worse... the “slime” moniker adds that last bit of vomit-inducing nonsense to this whole... thing. That helmet does not look good on it either.

Or maybe just drop black all together. Huskers are a total of 0-4 in black jerseys/uniforms.

Looks like Nebraska is going black-on-black against Illinois. Certainly a surprise.

I honestly don't hate this as a one-off idea. It's a bit crazy as a regular uniform, but I love the attention to detail with patterns, meanings, etc., without getting too extreme and abstract. Ok this is actually much better looking than I originally thought it would be. Yellow/black/silver is definitely a rare color combo and I love the look they made with it.

New uniforms for Avalanche AHL affiliate Colorado Eagles. Looks to be a Avs blue/black set. The Promos are FILLED with bad marketing speak that makes me cringe, but it's a sold design. I Just wish the Eagles would settle on a single color scheme. They have worn Black/Silver, Black/Yellow, Navy/Red/Yellow, Black/Royal blue, and Avs Blue/Black all in the past decade.

Looks a little less like IRON BOWL and more like Microsoft clipart with a corporate logo thrown in for good measure. It has lost all the bold look that is supposed to come with the name Iron Bowl.

The black alternates would look much better if they put more emphasis on the blue/orange (their actual colors) than a weird black on black idea. It come off looking very undercooked.

Ugh I wish all white combos would just end so we can stop getting the cringe-inducing "ICEY WHITES" and "STORMTROOPER" captions that always come with them.

I would like it a bit more if it was a gloss or metallic blue. The matte blue looks off with the whole throwback vibe.

Those were definitely much more tasteful. Minimized the camo and less strain on the eyes.

Oh no... this is bad... we have reached full on camo. This is just flat out bad. At least when Army did it, it made sense. And it was somewhat better than what the Hoosiers will wear:

Another Adidas team with what seems to be the alternate theme in blackouts: This one... I just don't get. I understand the whole thing with the "black watch" defense, blah, blah, blah... but this just feels wrong on SO many levels.

Washington's blackout is super tame when taking into consideration black/purple/gold can look really good. The gimmick with the tights/undershirt is neat, but as we have seen isn't exactly practical if a player chooses to go without those. Miami's are very nice. Exactly what I would expect from a team from Miami.

There is plenty wrong with this set, mainly the shift to white numbers and trim, and the chrome gold domes that fit nowhere in this set.

If Tulane wants to pull off mono-blue, they need some more green in the look.

Here's another look with a better angle at the sleeves and helmet: That version makes these much more palettable: Everything from the ugly gradient to the over-brightened colors to the absolutely hideous chrome helmet to black base is just horrific. I can normally live with the uniforms they try with this theme... this is just a train wreck of trying too hard. What is up with that pastel shade of lime green? And I didn't know they even made chrome yellow helmets.

Unpopular opinion: their current look is the best they’ve ever looked. It’s a unique look that stands out.

Gotta say, the America League was one of my favorite projects years ago when I was a lurker. Ever since then I had always tried to match the ambition of this project and never have! Great to see some new life breathed back into it!

Nebraska has unveiled their annual alternate uniform with a very confusing horror-themed video. All for a inverse colored version of last year's blackshirt set. Gotta say, the video is the only interesting thing here. Ruins the idea of "blackshirt", and it seems they have put more effort into the video than trying to get results on the field. Gotta be honest. I would take last year's alternate over this every time.

I feel like the polar bears would really benefit from a touch of a dark color like black/navy/forest green. Or maybe even carry some of the gray from the facemask onto the rest of the set. The light blue/white feels a bit too light as a whole. I think Dallas would look good with a blue helmet too. The cream helmet feels somewhat... off. Love the changes for the Hammers and Mountaineers!

They have worn silver helmets in the past, but none with this (what I think is fairly new) script logo.

The thing about TCU is that red seems so out of character. It's fine for a one-off, but Purple/White/Silver/Black is already a bit too much. Purple/Black/White should be the colors TCU sticks too. But this awful alternate uniform is one of the most horrid things I ever seen. Too many colors and too little elements that work together. On another note, Nevada has a new helmet, and it has to be one of the best things introduced this year!

UNLV released a new set of uniforms featuring an eclectic collection of helmet options. Digging the helmet choices, especially the metallic red and gray (they match the flashiness of LV), but can't help but feel that they uniforms are a worse recolor of their previous set: Previous uniforms for comparison: And these make me somewhat nostalgic for this set for reasons I cannot explain:

I probably would love the new Razorbacks uniforms more if they had the Arkansas-specific font worn with the last uniform. One reason I didn't love the change back to a pure throwback look.

Looks like Charlotte was forced to change their numbers to green on their white jerseys. Looks MILES better. Also FAU needs to just stick with the white helmet from here on out.
