  1. It's not the best name I've heard, but at least it's a bit more imaginative than all the 2/II we are seeing in MLS NEXT.
  2. Seems I missed this during the unveilings, but the Battlehawks have a chrome Gateway Arch stripe down the middle of the helmet. Kinda interesting, although I don't know how I feel about it yet. One thing I will nitpick about though is the mismatched shade of blue on the facemask.
  3. I mean, they are beyond due for an upgrade. They've had these uniforms since 2015-ish. Heck, they still have the flywire collar. Expecting a heavy presence of mix-and-match looks.
  4. Traditionalists won't be happy with this, and I can understand why. I can also see how this move is very much money-motivated. Grays are usually the forgotten child in a uniform rotation. However, I see this as a good move. Letting teams wear a color on the road, rather than grays, is more practical, and I think more stylish. I hope more teams lean into this.
  5. The 90's called, they want their obnoxiously oversized logos back.
  6. I get Pittsburgh imagery and all that... but purple/gray/orange is such a unique color combo. And, FWIW, I think the Maulers used it pretty nicely last year. A shame they moved on from it so quickly, especially since the USFL just got another dark color/yellow team in the Showboats.
  7. They seem to be running out of ideas. They had some neat concepts back in the day, but they are looking increasingly like the design was scraped out of the bottom of the proverbial barrel. It's disappointing when we've had these in the past:
  8. Yeah those Husker uniforms are getting a very extreme reaction here in Lincoln. Which is to say, people don't like them. Can't blame them when there is so much you can do with Memorial Stadium and this is all they come up with. I'm going to wait it out though, hopefully the helmets and pants have some better details, although I'm not crossing my fingers. If they wanted to go for a full red-out, this might be the opportunity with the whole "Sea of Red" thing.
  9. Hopping in on the "tried it" train. Graphics are nice. Name is a bit weird. Soda isn't much different from Sierra Mist. Maybe less distinctive than anything. I don't think they really nailed the flavor in the way they hyped it up to be. That being said, the logo is fantastic.
  10. Well according to the mothership, my Huskers' annual alternate uniform will commemorate the centennial of The Best Place on Earth (aka Memorial Stadium), but this wasn't what I was expecting exactly: Nebraska To Celebrate 100th Anniversary Of Memorial Stadium With Throwback Uniforms – SportsLogos.Net News Now as far as I know, wearing blue isn't necessarily sacrilege (but it is a bit unusual), and there seems a good reason behind its inclusion, but this uniform, or at least the snippets of it, seem pretty safe for the most part. A shame because we had a really nice Memorial tribute set only a few years ago: Not pushing it off yet, I just want to see what the full product looks like. Overall, it seems Adidas is going to be a bit unimaginative across the board next year.
  11. Some late-night scrolling led to the discovery of these uniforms, and I sincerely apologize in advance: Michigan State women in uniforms that are BFBS/GFGS AND have neon green accents. Have to be some of the worst uniforms I've seen on a Division 1 basketball court. I don't get the Spartans' recent obsession with neon green either, it does not work for them.
  12. This is just a flat-out awful soccer shirt, much less a Toronto FC shirt. No idea what they were thinking on this one, or even if they were. Just utterly dumbfounded here. Could have gotten away with getting rid of the lighter gray hoops.
  13. Rapids with a really colorful teaser. Could this mean that the yellow clash jerseys could be returning? I'm hoping the actual product turns out to be as bold as this graphic is.
  14. For a game that had so much hype around it, I was disappointed to see that the Warriors went with their City uniforms against the Spurs at the Alamodome tonight. The Fiesta vibe would have been fantastic against the throwbacks.
  15. From a design aspect, yeah sure it's an improve for social media and stuff like that, but as a Husker myself, there really wasn't a need to update or change it this much. And I agree with the sentiment that the older/rougher style fits the vibe a lot better. It may have needed an update, but maybe not this drastic. The new one also feels kinda cliparty, like the helmet doesn't fit the skull that well. At the end of the day though, I guess I'm just used to the classics. I have a feeling that this one may grow on me a bit.
  16. I wonder who the black jacket with green trim is for. Does anybody know who's wearing it? If it's an indication of a kit, it looks like it might be pretty unique. Maybe Austin?
  17. I much prefer the purple frog on the black helmets. I can't quite put my finger on why that is, but it just looks like a more complete look.
  18. I’m all for Utah changing to these throwback sets full time. They are really easy on the eyes, and work well with the metallic red helmet.
  19. Ugh... this is just proof that Carolina is the team that is in the direst need for new uniforms in the NFL. The design does not work well on the Vapor Untouchable template at all.
  20. The Arizona Bowl between Ohio and Wyoming may have been one of the best-looking games yet. The Barstool broadcast was... interesting, but the on-field appearance was nice. Not a lot of gimmicks, and two very well designed uniforms.
  21. I want to say I saw/heard it was Champion, but I can't definitively say 100%.
  22. Atlanta actually looks like Atlanta! Glad to see the return of the proper stripe and red base. Miami looks good too. Wish they were a bit more adventurous, but I think the idea is there. LAFC is a head scratcher. That green color looks like a gray that’s been tinted through an off-color TV monitor.
  23. Why? Just why? I get the superstition piece, but the World Cup Final should be the black tie event of the tournament. Teams shouldn’t be wearing anything other than their true primary looks, if the clash allows.
  24. As much as I would usually hate this idea, screw it, do it for the memories. Orange here, orange there, orange everywhere. It is the Orange Bowl after all.
  25. This is weird: the Defenders have 2 pairs of red pants, one with stripes for the home uniform, and one without stripe for the away. Not sure why they went with this instead of a pair of white pants. Just very redundant.
