  1. CBS suffered and now we have ABC just coasting on ESPN's name to even remain relevant. Not to mention NBC losing the NFL afternoon slate and the NBA was pretty bad too. Fox is the best network for football and you can't tell me otherwise.
  2. The upcoming NBA season is going to have some interesting new broadcasts due to Bally Sports' tomfoolery. So far it seems like the Suns games will be on a local network known as Arizona's Family Sports, the Utah Jazz will return to KJZZ and the Wizards will air on a rebranded NBC Sports now known as Monumental Sports Network. I am very intrigued by the return of the unique local flavor of sports broadcasting, something that was sorely missed over the last 15 years. I'm assuming the same stuff will occur with MLB next season as Bally Sports' issues came up in the middle of the season, giving MLB and the teams no time to get something going.
  3. Speaking of Wolves throwbacks, I just found this image of when they wore Muskies ABA throwbacks and they wore faux sweaters in pregame. Amazing.
  4. I believe the reason white socks are so preferred now is because they aren't actual socks, they are actually just compression leggings which have notoriously become a big deal in Basketball for the last 10 years. It's a performance thing and a "cool factor" too. It's not cloth socks anymore most of the time, when you see all white or the "leotard look" it's compression leggings. That's why it's blowing up and all over the league. I don't know what the NFL's sock rule even is because since it's not a sock, wouldn't that be a violation? I don't even know. The NFL has one of two things they should do, they can mandate cloth socks and ban compression leggings OR teams can start making colored compression leggings that way everybody is happy. If you ask me the latter is the best option.
  5. You know, two of the craziest Patriots games ever came in throwbacks in the 2009 season. Week 5 OT loss to the Broncos and a 59-0 blowout in Week 6 against the Titans in the snow.
  6. Another interesting change for this season is the Jazz arena is back to being called the Delta Center. Now I know we all hate ads and stuff around here but the Jazz playing in the Delta Center just feels right. I guess it depends on when you grew up, but I know the Delta Center and it's just right.
  7. This is now an infamous jersey patch.
  8. The thing about Iowa ripping off the Steelers is that they don't even wear standard block numbers anymore either. I don't know when that happened since I don't pay attention to College Football.
  9. It's probably going to be Bone vs. Black. Cardinals have no primetime games on the schedule so I can see them wearing the black against the Rams.
  10. I don't really know what the point of restricting it is.
  11. Someone with the Browns said that the team was looking into changing to white facemasks back in December 2022 and as you all know they would need to change the primary logo too so it has a white facemask. However, the positive reception of the Elf logos has led me to believe that the Elf may be the primary logo if they do change facemasks.
  12. Also according to NBA 2K24, the Spurs are adding the state outline logo inside the 3 point area.
  13. From NBA 2K24, the Sacramento Kings new court.
  14. Nope, the Packers are still using an old school template. Still the only the NFL team with it. I'm still annoyed the Raiders moved away from it a few years ago.
  15. Hopefully the Hornets break out the second version of their infamous court that went with that uniform.
  16. Interesting graphical thing for you here, as we all know in 1994 when Fox got the NFL contract they were the first to use the score bug on screen. Well, in the UK when showing NFL highlights at the time, they made sure to add onto the Fox bug with their own little graphic. They covered up the quarter and time for some reason. I don't know what UK channel it was unfortunately.
  17. Lebron hate is very weird. Calling him a ring chaser is funny especially when he dragged a trash Cavs team through broken glass against the 73 win Warriors to bring home a championship. Only if you're Lebron James is winning a championship a negative I guess?
  18. This is certainly a choice. Putting the entire 60's logo on the front is an interesting move. What's funny is that it's not the actual Lakers logo from back when they were a blue team, there's been several variations going around but no clear cut defined logo for the Pre-Forum years, it's very strange considering they are one of the biggest NBA teams. This is what the site here has: Is that the real logo? I don't know but Chris Creamer recently updated it to that.
  19. The Commanders yellow pants apparently are an option. It's in Madden and usually EA takes from style guides for the current day uniforms, that's why the Bears had orange pants as an option, it wasn't because they were going to wear them but because it was actually in the style guide at the time.
  20. In Madden 24 they changed the uniforms up for the relocated teams you can have. You can even bring back the Oilers and get mediocre uniforms that somehow avoid everything this forum hates yet still looks not great! They also have a red primary jersey and needlessly changed the helmet to have a blue facemask instead. Funny.
  21. Usually when a team has a new uniform set with a bunch of combinations they tend to wear those combinations so anybody worried shouldn't be. You'll get it, it may not be right away but you'll get it.
  22. I would say skate shoes are pretty much made for lots of movement so I don't think players would have anything to worry about really. Interestingly enough I see people skating in Jordan 1's now. This reminds me that back in the day NFL players use to wear basketball shoes on astroturf.
