  1. What is the big deal about Baltimore having stripes on the black pants? What has always stood out to me about them is their simplicity and versatility. The B gets it away from the blehness that many teams suffer from with monochrome pants (Commanders/Lions/Jags), but they can be worn with any jersey. Adding what I would assume would be a purple/white/purple stripe to the black pants would remove the versatility and make it stick out like a sore thumb. The pants stripe is already different from the numbers with their lack of gold, and it's my gripe with the purple pants Baltimore has now.

    Stripes do not equal good.

Looks like the Marlins will be updating the legibility on their dark uniforms (probably just filling in the wordmark white) and seem to be bringing out a Miami blue jersey with a Marlins word mark. Much needed, details will be revealed tomorrow at Fan Fest.

I'm glad they are updating the uniform font to stick out, would be wonderful to see, but are they gonna update the hats to match? If they don't, they are gonna stick out like a sore thumb

  3. I don't get the hype around the "Sack Exchange" uniform. The number font is great, but outside of that, it feels lifeless and looks like something I would see in a TV ad. I think bringing back the old logo on the helmet with the current jersey would have worked well and been well-balanced.

  4. The only reason I want to see Arizona keep the red pants is for the cold temperature/snow away games to pair with the road jersey. It is a nice look and allows for some level of visibility while watching. That Buffalo game with the Colts in all white was a nightmare to watch.

  5. Can Carolina just go back to the looks they had before? I do not think the pants design yields the versatility to switch colors and maintain a good look and it's worse because no element matches (Silver helmet, white jersey, with black pants and socks does not look good. W/W/B was a solid look on the road and doesn't look like the mash of too many elements as they have now and make the uniform look bottom-heavy.

The 49ers didn't even play the Jaguars until 1999.

Wait. The Jags jersey was made by Nike, and the Niners by Adidas. Was there not a universal brand for the league at the time?

  7. I know this was already discussed in this thread, but watching the Suns v. Pistons highlights, you notice how much the purple on the jersey does not match the pants. I thought it was just a lighting problem while modeling, but they're just two different shades of purple.

I never want to see teal pants for games in Miami. That was an Adam Gase exclusive and looked bad then, and it would now. The all-white works for Miami, but it's much better with aqua socks.

The Chargers look good in either, and I'm in the camp of hating 3 different colors in a uniform.

And they were around long before Adam Gase.

I like the aqua pants on the road. I do not like it when they wear them at home. It is not a look I enjoy seeing and to me, it feels like cheap looking, the, under Gase, and if they did it now.

I've decided with white tops, the Dolphins should ALWAYS wear aqua pants and the Chargers should ALWAYS were their yellow.

The entire game all I kept thinking was that they needed yellow pants. As a Zou fan, they can wear whatever they want if they win games like that though 😂

As a student, their insistence on often having the helmet match no other uniform aspect kills me inside

In my opinion it isn't even a bad look -- it's fine, it has proper contrast between jersey, pants, and socks. It just does not look like the Bears in any way, shape, or form.

Outside of not looking like the Bears, I feel like there's a better balance of the navy helmet and orange jersey. The Orange helmet makes it look so top-heavy. Especially without the navy socks.spacer.pngspacer.png

  12. The helmets look amazing for the Cardinals up close and at a distance. I really hope they get away from the blood-clot look once the season starts. The pants matching the helmet would do wonders, even if I'm not a fan of the design on said white pants.

  13. Overall, they're really nice. It's a great modernization of the Barkley Era uniforms, but as other people said, it could use black. I do have concerns about the "Icon" jersey since it's not as well balanced color wise as the "Associaton"

  14. While a lot of the uniforms are nice and executed well, none in any way should ever come back as primary uniforms. 4 of the teams with throwbacks (Jets, Vikings, Seahawks, Bucs) have what I consider "modern classics" that could use tweaking or are solid, but show off their look well, and I think Nike has executed well (The Jets just fail to wear green or the uniform combos that are good).  Trying to modernize them just feels cheap.

  15. The Kings' new uniforms are solid. Better than the old ones and I'm glad they moved on from grey being as present, but it does make the primary logo feel out of place a little. I would have loved a purple "Association" uniform over black, but it looks fine in black. The Alt feels like they just missed the mark. Using the old split uniform design as inspiration concerned me cause I think it wasn't good then and now, but they almost nailed it. The checkerboard pattern feels more natural in purple and black compared to the white and purple of the '90s. The gradient makes it look much nicer compared to the hard-line distinction of purple and black. The script is lacking.  I would have liked something with the new Sacramento script on it or take it out from above the wordmark.

I said awhile ago and I’ll say it again now. None of these City Connect unis have been good. Not a single one. They’ve ranged from “Oh, that’s weird, but not awful I guess” to straight up

None of these have been valuable enough to keep in the current rotation. It’s all been convoluted garbage that’ll end up selling for discount at Ross in big numbers.

Ok, I agree some of the designs have fallen flat, but I fail to see how the Marlins CC is not good. It uses their current colors so well and just has all the pop and the pinstripes feel (I am aware they are not) like a nice nod to the OG uniforms. It just comes together as such a great look.

Let’s me real the twins should of never dropped gold. Made them a different them then the other R/W/B teams.

Disagree with the Twins standpoint, but I do think the Guardians should have added bronze or a dark gold to their color scheme to go with the Guardian of Traffic.
