Nah. Too close to the Blue Lives Matter flag for my liking.
Have you been to Tampa? It wouldn't surprise me one bit if that was intentional.

Expectations for the divisional games (besides GB @ SF, obviously):
• Texans and Ravens wear white/navy and purple/white again like they did Week 1.
• Bucs wear white/pewter, Detroit continues to wear mono blue
• Chiefs in white/red, Bills in blue/white again.
Think this is spot-on. Bucs have won their last 3 games in white-pewter (5-1 in their last 6 pewter pants games in general).
The stupid uniform superstitions (presumably will) live on.

Bucs at Lions could be such a great matchup, but we all know the Lions will go all-blue again unfortunately. It’s their new winning combo!
Is there a place where one can bet on uniform combinations? I would like to put my entire life savings on Lions in mono-blue, please.

The Bucs will almost undoubtedly paint the endzones red as well (GUD has them as green, not sure why; they've painted them red for (almost?) all home playoff games in recent memory.) This should be a pretty good looking game, at least for the home team.

Tonight's game is certainly going to be one of the uniform matchups of all time.

Buccaneers confirmed red and pewter again on Sunday, as god intended.

Fantastic looking game, yes, but part of me wishes the Fins would’ve worn the white version of this throwback (they have that, right?) so we could see the Cowboys in blue and to continue the troll job of forcing them to wear the uniforms they hate.

This is a thing I'm a little tired of.
I see just as many complaints on here about the social media or marketing of the uniform as the uniform itself.
At a low setting, its just "old man yells at cloud." Tedious but tolerable.
When its really cranked up I feel there's a sense of gatekeeping. Those posts aren't meant to hype up the people who look at practice photos to figure out whether a team is wearing throwbacks or who check beat reporter twitter for pregame warm ups to figure out the color undershirt a team is wearing that day. They're trying to get engagement from people who aren't keyed in and that's fine.
At this point I'm more annoyed at the people on the board complaining about "icy whites" than the club social media teams much less the all white uniforms themselves.Totally get that. (I think) I've made my (admittedly kind of stupid) point and I'll move on. Half the posts in this thread are complaining about the Saints leotards, teams in solid white pants/white socks, and the Cowboys uniforms in general. So I didn't think it was a big deal to vent a little bit. Moving on.

Maybe I didn't express my point clearly enough. My issue is the tweet showing little diagrams pointing to socks, pants, etc. with a little sidebar saying WHITE or BLUE. It just screams desperation for attention and is, for lack of a better word, cringey/lame/cheesey/nauseating. I obsess over uniforms just as much as the next guy, but a full uniform detail "announcement" is completely unnecessary. Let us find out what you're wearing on Sunday morning during warmups; it's stupid to make a social media post about your freaking blue socks.

Call me a grandpa, but this tweet perfectly encapsulates just how stupid, cringey and pointless these UnIfOrM rEvEaLs are. Nevermind the g*dd*mn lame-ass frozen face dude emoji, but c'mon, do you really need a little graphic showing SOCKS down there???? Good lord I hate this league, and the vast majority of its fanbase, so damn much.
STOP THE PRESSES, OUR FOOTBALL TEAM IS WEARING BLUE SOCKS WITH OUR STANDARD ROAD UNIFORMS. PLEASE RETWEET THIS AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE. Give me a break. Get off my lawn. Take me back to 1982.

Think Tampa wears red the next two weeks, giving us a grand total of three (3) times this season.

Potentially unpopular take, but even as a uniform detail enthusiast, I find these reveal tweets absolutely cringey and just stupid. What other league in the world tweets out "here's what color our helmet, pants and SOCKS will be next weekend." I miss the days when you found out what teams were wearing when they ran out onto the field on Sunday/Monday. Throwback announcements once or twice a year are fine but these "helmet -- jersey -- pants -- socks" detail announcements make my eyes roll further back in my head than human anatomy allows.

Not calling BS, but this seems weird for a number of reasons. First of all, those colors are purported to have significance for the "Sugar Kings" history, so it seems hard to swap them out with the tired and cliche vice colors, for example.
And the Marlins have one of the few City Connect identities that's objectively good and universally praised. If you walk around the ballpark, it's pretty obvious that those sell well. I suppose Nike could be trying to do something more like what they do with the NBA. Basically replacing the city jerseys frequently even if they are popular.
What baffles me the most is that the Marlins would be entering their sixth season (in 2024), with this horrific rebrand instituted after Jeter's group bought the team. Now that the dust is settled, I really don't think this current identity is appreciated by the fanbase. If you walk around Marlins Park, far more people are wearing City Connects or OG Florida Marlins stuff. I'm very vocal in my hatred for this branding, but I genuinely don't think the look has been warmly embraced by the fanbase. And most fans would like some kind of return to the retro branding on a larger scale than sporadic throwback nights.
I watch a fair amount of games and I feel like I see more 2012-2018 gear in the stands than the current look too. Or maybe it's about even, but definitely enough to stand out to me.

Didn't realize the 49ers were wearing the road throwbacks. This would've been such a good week for Seattle to do the same.
-
Louisville just needs to bring back their 90's/early 2000's maybe? look with some modernizing.
Fix the stripes some and this is a clean, modern look in today's CFB fashion environment.

Did you even read the tweet? That uniform is just so !!!!111

They only wore the blue tops a total of two (2) times in their two seasons as the Tennessee Oilers. And both instances were on the road: at Miami and at Dallas. So they wouldn't have much of a connection with these throwbacks anyway.

I don't have the numbers in front of me right now, but the Bucs have definitely been wearing white pants more often in the 2.0 version of these uniforms than they did in the 1.0 version. In the past, white pants rarely showed up outside September, whereas they're worn often these days.
In terms of at home only:
2020 - weeks 1 and 4
2021- weeks 2 and 4
2022 - weeks 3 and 5
I guess what I was saying is week 7 seems kind of late for them to go all white at home compared to previous years, since week 5 had been the latest since the brand refresh. As a person who gets stuck with a lot of Bucs games on TV locally it seemed abnormal, but maybe not.

I was honestly looking at the Bucs remaining home schedole on Gridiron Uniform Database and out of the rest of the home games we have Tennessee, Carolina, Jacksonville, and New Orleans.
- Carolina has already announced the blue jersey for the game in Tampa, so thats another white at home.
- The pewter alts are likely to still be worn once. I suspect it might be against Jacksonville or Tennessee as the pewter alts haven't been used in divisional games yet.
- Just my feelings, but seeing the Bucs and Jags go red v teal on Christmas Eve would be interesting, but unlikely.
- Bucs might go red against New Orleans so the Saints bring out their white Color Rush
I know they often do WAH into November but I feel like it's usually paired with pewter pants. The white jersey/white pants combo seems to be reserved for typically one home game, usually early in the season, historically speaking (I'm not counting the alarm clock years since that look was such a clusterf***.)

Bucs in all white a little later in the season than is the norm.

I just checked and the Colts don't have any primetime games, and I doubt they ever get flexed to a later time slot. This week is as good as any to debut these uniforms (Ideally, they would never be worn, but I digress).
I was referring to them depriving us of a potentially gorgeous matchup with the Browns, in their proper uniforms at Indianapolis, which we haven't seen since 2012.

The Colts picked the absolute worst week imaginable to debut these duds. Oh, what could have been.

A GOOD-looking week of uniform matchups? In 2023???
Have you seen what the Broncos, Cardinals and Washingtons are wearing? And now just because you said that, watch the Lions go mono-grey. We truly can't have nice things.

If the Rays are going to keep calling these "throwbacks" they could at least make the caps the correct color and do something about the hysterically oversized devil ray logo.

'twas a joke. Tampa is great and I have plenty of friends from there, but let's be real, the area does have quite the contingent of thin blue stripers.
