  1. Just found a listing for a Chicago Fire jersey based on the MLS league-wide 25th-anniversary template. I imagine these would've been created... and then shelved after Chicago changed their logo (for the first time).  It is very similar to their 2019 jersey but appears to have different proportions on the chest stripes. It also has a design on the back I've never seen.

Does anyone have any idea if this is an actual leak or a sample from Adidas?

  2. I’m hoping Indiana gets a new set with a new head coach in town. They are also about to renew their deal with adidas or sign with a new company (unlikely).

Their set from last year was terrible quality and controversially added black back to the uniforms. I would hope a new apparel deal means adidas’ knit uniforms in the traditional cream and crimson. I would imagine any new adidas deal demands “tier one” treatment for uniforms.

  3. I'm a sucker for gimmicky outdoor sporting events. From the Carrier Classic to the Winter Classic, I can't get enough. I present to you the crossover event of the fall, The Brickyard Ball? The Greatest Spectacle in Hooping? ... okay, I don't have a name yet. This event merges Indiana's two favorite pastimes, basketball and racing.

This early-season basketball matchup would take place on the front stretch of the world-famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The straightaway at Indy is 50 feet wide, the exact same as a basketball court. To accommodate the game, the pitlane wall would either need to come down or the court would be built on a platform above the wall, whichever offers better sight lines. Temporary stands will be added behind each basket for maximum seating capacity!

I imagine this event would feature either Indiana or Purdue, maybe rotate each season, and a big-name competitor.  The event could be a cross-promotion for Indycar and the Big Ten, both of which have deals with NBC, who would be the broadcast partner.

While not actually on top of the yard of bricks, the court features the brick motif at midcourt along with the IMS logo. Two checkered flags flank the sides of the court. The parquet court is also another nod to the checkered flag pattern.

  4. New Uniform for Notre Dame on the new Under Armour Template. They bring over the script from the green alternates and drop all navy on their home whites, similar to an alternate set from previous seasons. Wonder if they will release more as the season continues with "Notre Dame" on the front.

These UA uniforms look so cheap. They are all white with sublimated colors on one side of the fabric. You can see that the inside of the shorts are still white.

Part of me hopes/thinks that they’ll use the green jerseys again, and potentially pair it with their gold pants. It wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility for them to do another game with the color.

they also have a Shamrock Series uni to unveil as well correct?

They already had the Shamrock Series to open the season in Ireland.

  6. Not sure if this is the place to post, but the Sabers have a new center ice design. It appears they are using the roundel as the center circle.

I'm not sure I've seen this before in the NHL. I love it! There is no need for the current circle-in-a-circle look.

The NBA has all but eliminated solid center circles instead opting for thing outlines and larger logos.

I think the NHL should experiment with the same idea. Larger center ice logos, that cover the center redline and aren't bound by the center circle. Something like this!

  7. As an Indiana alum, I would love to see Indiana bring their iconic candystripes to the turf at Memorial Stadium. Indiana Football historically doesn't have much that makes them stand out in the college football world, except for their abysmal record. A unique end zone design could become iconic and instantly recognizable.

Over the past couple of years, I've put together many mockups and thought I'd put them all in one place.

I think they could even extend the candy stripe motif into the currently empty corners of the stadium. A cream & crimson flower display would provide a nice pop of color and life to contrast the concrete and limestone stadium.

I also put together a website for IU fans to design their own field for Memorial Stadium. Feel free to check it out at CandyStripeTheRock.com

  8. Some insight into the difference in costs between Adidas' caste system.

Tier 1 Adidas jersey blanks retail to (high school) teams for $150, pants for $120

F2fytIKWcAA4xEP?format=jpg&name=mediumTier 2 jerseys has retail for $80 and pants for $85
    F2fyZ0LWQAEN3Mk?format=jpg&name=4096x409F2fyuYRXUAAvLo-?format=jpg&name=large

    Difference of $105 per set x 125 players x 2 uniforms (home & away) = $26,250

interesting that there is so much difference in the distance between the "Michigan State" wordmark and the 'v' of the Fuse template between the white and green jerseys.

The white one seems to be the closest to, even overlapping, the 'v' I've seen yet. The template has lead to teams pushing down the name and number really low.
