Seems pretty obviously geared to status quo or the existing =O=. All the new stuff is generic and beyond bad.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Dallas had some variation of the 1999 Cup sweaters with the star pattern.

I presume these are just camp sweaters for the Ottawa 67's, but I don't remember ever seeing them before.

How about Seattle Cranes? You can tap into the Frasier fan base and probably make a cool logo with it. They're also known as a species of bird that fights in packs and a very honoured creature in Asian mythology, which may be a demographic they can capture.

Dallas seems to have all sorts of half-baked ideas that get shut down right before they make the ice
This was from somewhere around 2002. A version used to be on nhluniforms.com, but I think most of the never-worns are gone. this one got all the way to the retail stage. Had a chance to buy one a few years ago for around $200, I wish I would have jumped on it.
This font was also played with in 1993
Interesting, but I'm glad it never made it.
Goes all the way back to the North Stars days, they dropped this after their unlikely cup run in 1981
You know, I can understand the mustard one. That seemed to be the big color at the time and a few teams were rushing to make alternates that color. I didn't realize there was as much green on it as there was as most photos I saw looked all black thanks to the darkness of the green they used. I hate the neckline though, I really don't know what they were trying there.
As for the font, I kind of like that. It would have been a bit of an adaptation on the block font, which had become a North Stars trademark. Of course, it would have been better to just take the block font and keep it as it was in the new colors. Broadcasters also complained about the green numbers being hard to read, but I loved them. I hated that the Stars went to a darker shade in year two in Dallas.

Hamilton Mustangs for the win. Also, if basketball isn't going back into Seattle any time soon, any chance getting the rights to Sonics might work for a team? Just like Colorado Rockies, which was likely an obvious choice for both baseball and hockey, there'd already be some familiarity with the name.

We might have a new winner
I'd gladly second that. The colours in the Oilers-Stars game last night just popped, it was really nice to see.

Big time downgrade. While people might not have liked the orange, the template was solid before. Now it looks like they just removed random elements and it really looks like things are missing from this look. I absolutely loved the Sharks' last look and this is just a bastardization of it.

To think they used to be the Hartford Whalers, who almost always had one of the freshest, most unique looks in hockey.

I think the jade on the Ducks' sweaters has them looking just a little too much like what the Sharks are using now for my liking.

Here's some interesting stuff that Torch Creative posted to dribbble today. They've done quite a bit of work for the NHL, including the Stars 20th Anniversary logo.
What's up with the rendering of the star on the right side? It looks like the lines don't line up quite right.

that said, no one ever said that the new uniforms would definitely be based on north stars uniforms. all we know is that there will be a new logo, featuring the letter D and a star (i've heard overlapped) with no arrows pointing in any direction or anything silly like that to get people ruffled about.I hadn't seen that one reported yet. I know you have some sources, did that come from there or was it reported somewhere?

Riverjacks, Rideaus, are good choices. There is another rumor going around on the net that Rebels is the frontrunning name for the team but that's debatable and not creditable either.
I doubt they'd go to Rebels, too close to the Rebel lacrosse team owned by the previous owners and marketed with very similar marks to those of the Renegades. Is there not some history with Raiders in minor football there? Maybe that's an option.

They should just stop the experimenting and stick with this for a bit.

I was about to say current Dallas Stars for the bland, colorless, basketball-inspired trash they've been dressed in the past few seasons, but then I remembered that's also the club that brought the Mooterus to life. Bad decisions abound for that franchise.

Love your Stars and Wild, both would be great improvements.

Alt 2 is among the nicest Stars concepts I've seen. I'd love to see a uniform concept built from that.

Love your Wild uniforms, I wish they would just design two like that and call it a day. One note, however, is that I'd like to see them go back to just the logo and ditch that circular faux-back. The WIld logo is outstanding itself, the circle around it just makes it looks like one of those cheap Wal-Mart knockoff sweaters from a few years back.

Dallas just got a new owner. Usually with a new owner a team gets a new look. That is true, but the Stars also recently brought back Jim Lites for his third string as team president. He was apparently involved in the design and approvals process the first time and is said to have really liked the simplistic design. He also made some comments about not listening to fans when they were critical in the past. They should do an overhaul, but I'm not sure they will.

Facemask, Puck Drop, and beyond that I don't have a clear preference.

The Ottawa 67's apparently debuted a new third jersey last night, but no photos as of yet.
Any discription?
A lot of fans said it looked too much like Niagara's. There's a photos at this address, but it doesn't show a lot...

Looks like black base, red sleeves, and someone said killer puck logo is back.

Flash forward to 1999. The wife and I are in a bookstore, where I pick up a memorabilia guide - something I rarely if ever do. Flipped through to their section on the Florida Marlins, and pointed out to the wife that Item A, which I'd paid $5 a piece for then, was now worth $300. "How many of them do you have?" she inquired. "I think around 500," I smiled. She's never questioned me on a business or investment decision, or on a sports memorabilia purchase, since.
It's nice for that to be the book price, but can you actually sell the stuff for that value? Maybe the price is such because it's rare, but if suddenly 500 whatevers pop up in the market, are you then selling for pennies on the dollar anyway?
