Everyone on the internet nowadays wants to be right and say "I told you so!"
Back in 2012 everyone was convinced that Nike was going to turn the NFL into Oregon. That idea was even more prominent here, especially among traditionalists.
Every year since, people post about the "slippery slope" and "Here we go! It's happening now!"
But after almost 12 years, no NFL team has reached the Oregon level. No NFL team is randomly adding colors like volt green into their uniforms. No team has "city connect" uniforms. No team is wearing a different helmet every week.
Just because it’s going slowly doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

I think it’s just an optical illusion between the side panel being on just one side, and just different fonts being different sizes.

They don't have the time to make alternates for teams, and customers have to wait over 2 months for the gold program Texas jersey...........
But they have time to make and stock these Nike elite jerseys these players never wore!!
So :censored:ing stupid, what moron buys this!?
David Ortiz has worn that jersey before, and I’m sure adding on to a product line that’s already in production is 10x easier that starting a new product line.

Any of the “golden” names are dead on arrival with Vegas.

Those aren’t monochrome, and you’d be kidding yourself if you didn’t say they’d look even better with different pants

Not the first, Chase Elliot’s unveiled his Dale Jr. 2014 Daytona 500 throwback 2 weeks ago. There could have been others. This looks really good, almost like a coors silver bullet with guitar frets instead of mountains.

I don't know about actual collars, but I think there's room to experiment with cold-weather jerseys that are made like Under Armour's "Cold Gear" half-zips, or Nike's equivalent.
While not a pro athlete, I've played in these and they're perfectly flexible and comfortable, and wick remarkably well for something so warm. Almost like a merino-wool baselayer.
I'm actually a little surprised that the haven't taken the opportunity to introduce something like this, since it'd give them more to sell.
Why when they can just wear the base layers like they normally do. There is no need to produce an additional jersey that won’t sell as well considering they will only be worn the first month of the year and playoffs, and even then only in northern climates.

The teams has filed to trademark “Sacramento Athletics” and “Sacramento A’s”
Filing for a trademark and actually using it are 2 different things. Most likely just getting ahead of the squatters Incase they do eventually end up using it.

I'll accept it when people start saying "Big Ex-Eye-Eye" for that other one!
Wait you’ve actually heard people call it “the B1G”

The WNBA can’t support itself and half the women make less than me working a regular job. I understand people loving Caitlin Clark and angel Reese but them going pro won’t magically make WNBA more important. They’ve had stars in college go into the league for decades and become even bigger stars the issue is the league has only a few star players and the rest are crap.

Dale scoffed at the charter prices when they were 3-4 times less than they are now, so I highly doubt we see him jump in at this point unless, as DCarp mentioned, it's a partnership of some sort.
SHR really only needs to sell-off one charter IMO and that's the 41. I had a feeling based on Custer's performance in the 41 that Preece would be a nonfactor, but man I didn't expect him to be so far off. Part of that can be attributed to SHR's downward spiral, but even so he's really lagged behind the rest of the team. Berry has shown flashes this year, Briscoe is a proven winner, and even Gragson has ran better than expected and would be higher in points without that big penalty handed-down earlier this season.
Having 1 win, and the other 2 seasons being sub 23rd doesn’t make Briscoe a “proven winner”, Ryan Preece was clearly the best driver for SHR after Harvick who’s a legend. He’s been slow this year but I think that’s a ford problem and bad luck not a preece problem. Briscoe has the sponsorship money but not the success they are looking for.

Yes, but do you think the medium red (it is darker than the Kansas City Chiefs red they use) would work with navy blue? Because if you make the white trim at least legible similar to the Raiders white throwbacks from their 1970 look where the black trim was slightly thicker to make the silver numbers look in place instead of a thin black trim which would make the silver numbers hard to read.
Look at their colorrush jerseys. It works.

I don’t get what outdoors vs indoors has to do with number colors. Regardless the Texans colorrush uniform had red numbers and worked perfectly fine. I don’t see the issue.

Why? What's wrong with the stadium? Parking is fantastic, as is the tailgating situation. The view of the game is great. Why must it be replaced?
Upgrade it with the new amenities that new stadiums have. Arrowhead is a historical stadium at this point. Acoustics are great making it one of the loudest stadiums in the world. It doesn’t need a roof, the NFL will have exactly 1 Super Bowl at most in KC if they built a new domed stadium. And the juice isn’t worth the squeeze there.

Kinda glad Illinois didn't make the Final Four given the Terrence Shannon situation. I have no idea the real story, but until it gets resolved it would just feel weird to me.
Also does anyone else find it weird that 3 of the top seeds (Arizona, Purdue, UConn) have been wearing predominantly throwback home uniforms this year? It'll be weird to look back on footage of this tournament and see those teams wearing uniforms from 20+ years ago (way more in Purdue's but I don't know when those are from)
They aren’t throwback uniforms, they are faux-backs at most. They took traditional designs for the schools and updated them with current word marks and number fonts.

I added Vet to this post so you don't feel like you're being picked on. Now that we have have out of the way...
You're both wrong. Mike Trout's relevance and his impact on the game have nothing to do with his ability as a ball player. His lack of "games that matter" can hardly be blamed on him. It takes a team to get to the playoffs. It's not his fault he plays for a organization. His numbers are his numbers. They are what they are. We can't cheer players on for taking all the money they can get and then hold it against them when the team they took the money from turns out to be terrible.
He had a choice before signing his extension. He has a choice now by demanding a trade. Players have more say now of where they play than they ever had.
