I was going through Twitter yesterday and so many people were comparing it to the '08 Indianapolis race. I'm just wondering how many of them actually watched that race and not a video about it on YouTube.

The difference was the Indy race tires blew out, threw debris everywhere and caused cautions every 10 laps until nascar just started doing competition cautions every 8 laps. This race the tires  corded after 40 they ran on ice for 10 laps until they blew out and nascar let them make their way to pit road without throwing a caution because they didn’t have to. There was an issue with the tire and track combo but I’d rather see that than tires that don’t fall off and drivers run follow the leader all race. It’s a fine balance to get life out of the tire yet make them have the fall off needed during a run. A fuel run a Bristol should be about 150 laps, I’d like to see some drivers be able to get to that with other not conserving and falling off like a rock the last 20 laps but that’s a perfect world.

Yea I would say it’s more a knock on the front office not giving him talent that’s needed vs. Tomlin over achieving giving them a reason not to. You know the Rooneys want to win and just haven’t put the guys in the front office to get that talent. What I find really interesting is how the narrative has shifted from Tomlin not being able to beat teams they should beat and playing down to talent, and underperforming when they had the triple B’s. They should have won atleast an AFC championship with those teams.

Apparently it was the same tire as last fall, but the way they treated the track make it so the tires wouldn’t work into the track like it did with the pj1. Maybe just going back to the pj1 would help the tire issue, but I’d honestly want just a slightly harder tire to go maybe 80 laps before cording and sliding happening in between.

The numbers are leased from nascar each year. Clearly TMT didn’t renew their lease for the 50 meaning the team doesn’t plan on running this year, or they are going with a different number.

How many times does it need to be said that teams social media teams don’t talk to the uniform designers, not until the team is ready to put out teasers. Remember when you thought the jets were going to lime green because their social media started using it. Social media teams just choose what looks good and that’s it.

It’s offensive because it burns my eyes to look at such an awful logo. 

I think they would go with the ‘98 version. Everyone remembers that version, not the one they debuted with the block numbers.

I’m just tired of the first day after a free agency move or trade a guy gets put on here when they only played a handful of seasons for one team. 28 is older for a running back but if he’s any good he’ll have atleast 4 more years, and who knows how much success he’ll have

Being real here, and as an outsider to both leagues, I feel the WNBA gets more press and casual sports fan attention than MLS. Unless it's a past-their-prime name player showing up on an MLS field for an easy payday, they get virtually zero mainstream attention. WNBA's popularity seems to be growing bigger and bigger, especially with the popularity of women's college hoops over the last couple years. That, and the WNBA actually features the world's best players at their respective sport.

The WNBA can’t support itself without the NBA financing them. They pay there players are paid at most 241,000 a year, most are around 60g. I made more than half the league last year. MLS highest paid player is Messi at 12 million per year, highest outside of the exemption is 1.1 million and average being 312g.
 

all of this to say. NBA is improving marketing for WNBA, including them in AllStar events, and paying ESPN to mention them.  Doesn’t change that WNBA viewership numbers are still averaging 700k for the finals compared to MLS that reaches 340k average for a regular season game (same as the NHL) and final of 2.16 million viewers.

Why should I feel bad for anyone here?

I get paid to potentially get killed for this country. That doesn’t mean we don’t take as much risk out of every scenario or just do suicide missions every day because that’s what we signed up for.

If the colors were flipped maybe. Pennzoil only likes being on yellow cars, and logo being on a yellow base.

The game shouldn’t have been played. For public safety it should have been moved anywhere else. It’s not even like it’s unprecedented.

They can say the design is based on that. That doesn’t mean it didn’t end up looking like the Sydney opera house though

He has the ability to game manage at best. His 1 win this year where he had to comeback and win was against Chicago. Everything else was games in the teens where the defense kept them from losing.
