  1. Why does it look like they painted a high schools field? Was that a test field before they made it for the actual game? What do they need to test anyways? That the paint won’t be a slippery mess like last year? There are just so many questions I have about this.

Jets and Clippers logos have been posted here and they have been to the conference finals in the last 14 years, so Lions are no different

14 years ago is a lot different than this year. They were also posted after embarrassing loses like butt fumble or losing Rodgers after 4 plays and trading away half their draft picks, and seeing his replacement make the playoffs. And in clippers case over paying for stars that play half the year then fail in the first round of the playoffs.

  3. I wouldn’t put chase briscoe or Ryan preece on the hotseat, only if one of them is awful while the other cars perform I can see it being a possibility. Chase is really the only one who has sponsorship, and viewed as Tony’s protege, and preece performed well compared to the rest of SHR last year.
I wouldn’t say Lajoie is on the hotseat either. He has taken them from a field filler to being respectable. He brings sponsorship and has his own podcast that promotes the team and sponsors.
Bowman I don’t see unless another elite driver becomes available l, ally likes him and he signed a multi year extension last year.

Austin Cindric isn’t going anywhere because of the same reason Austin Dillion isn’t. His daddy is the Penske team president.

Suarez definitely is, if he doesn’t perform Trackhouse already has 2 drivers waiting to take his spot.

  4. I was really going to wait until I saw the Toyotas in action to see if I liked them just because they did look bad or awkward from a few angles. Looked too rounded and the light decal going all the way across just didn’t look great a lot of times. Now that I see it on the track I’ve softened to it. It does look fine. Not my favorite, but plenty good

I mean it’s on brand for a Petty car

I meant a joke about the reduced HP the cars have now (I know it’s 650) just showing how the stock car will have more hp than the cup cars soon.

Painted rims are a perfectly simple way to elevate a scheme.

We know teams are allowed to mess with them. Penske uses a lighter shade of gray/silver. Not that evident in single car picks but in a crowd shows. I believe it’s Hendrick that has some red accents, mostly only visible during pit stops or on pit road.
Not every scheme *needs* them, but some iconic schemes of the past have featured the painted rim.

I think teams are hesitant to mess with wheels after they tried penalizing teams before the first race for altering wheels which actually made them safer. Also I think teams don’t really see the purpose of painting wheels when a full speed the color gets washed out, unlike the painted rims from before that would look like a single block of color at speed.

  7. While I never was a fan of Taylor swift I really never paid attention to her being at the games other than the occasional glance at a headline come across my phone each Sunday that she’s there. In the games I watched they hardly showed her. What I do have issue with is the tribalism of the T-Swift mafia now making every other post on my social media be “if you have a problem with T-Swift being at the game then you’re part of the patriarchy” or something along those lines. I didn’t want the chiefs to win before I wasn’t even thinking they’d make it out of the first round, but now I want them to crash and burn and see all the fan girls minds explode.

Oh, this is sweet. Top scheme already

    From all angles-

That’s way too busy for my liking. The number will be hard to read, maybe removing the red shape that gets interrupted by it, or just making it smaller so the number can breath some. Also there is no flow to the car, angles going every which way. The red spikes pointing up and to the back, the horse point up and to the front, the black and white pointing forward but rounded while having another black spike pointing back from the hood. Just it’s all over the place.

"OHHHH AWWWW JIM WHAT A SMART MOVE TO SET UP 1ST AND 10" - Tony Romo on Roquan Smith picking up a 15-yard penalty for just knocking a guy on his ass unabated

Even if it was just to get a 5 yd offsides I don’t get it. Yards are yards regardless. Who cares if it’s first and 5 or fist and 10

Football is the hardest sport in the world to explain the rules to someone.  "The rule is this up until 2 minutes left in the 2nd q, then it changes, then goes back to it for the next 25 minutes of the game, then with 5 minutes left, it goes back to what it did in the last 2 mins of first half."  "You can do x within 5 yards of the LOS, unless the QB does y, in which case you can only do  x within a yard (or whatever)"

It's no wonder it's not more popular world wide.

Yeah I have a co-worker who has virtually never watched football. Me and another guy try so hard to explain it to him, then he’ll say something like “what is keeping them from throwing it again after they catch it” as an example and you got to explain why he can’t, then he’ll see someone lateral and you have to explain why they can do that and so on. Trying to explain what is a catch took about 2 hours.

Oh, for :censored:'s sake, are you really going to the mats over a joke post?

You are the one who came up with the “well actually” post that was completely inaccurate.

I don't think so. Baseball is a tough sport for a market to support. Las Vegas can do it because it's a destination city that will rely heavily on transplants and visiting fans. SLC is not that. If they JUST got baseball and nothing else, they could conceivably make it happen. But MLB and NHL to go along with the Jazz (and count RSL, too).... that would be tough. I think the two new teams if they happened close together would cannibalize each other.

Is it though? Who goes to Las Vegas and says “let’s go watch a baseball game outside in the devils :censored:, and not stay inside gamble, strip clubs, watch shows, or sports indoors.”

Black on red is always a tough contrast. I could see the logos and numbers being okay because of the size but there's no way the names are going to be visible at a distance, especially football stadium hockey distance.

You say that like anyone will be reading the NOB’s in any game other than close up shot
