  1. Bingo. This logo is so terrible on so many levels. It only lasted a few years, which ended up being the only time in my life I actually watched wrestling. I just assumed it was supposed to be some abstract symbol. Literally never noticed the WCW for the longest time. So not only does it look incredibly stupid, I wonder how many people actually noticed the letters.
  2. I think Miami (OH) has won the award for the most ridiculous location for a football photo shoot I've ever seen. ...a hockey rink? IcY wHiTeS!
  3. This is driving me insane. Why would they split the team name in half like that? It would be like a Miami HE [flaming ball] AT logo or Minnesota WI [bear head] LD. Unless the logo/icon is a letter or the shape of a letter like the Spurs. There's no reason to use it as a read through. Especially when they could have easily just fit RUSH above the bison head.
  4. This. Pick a shade of blue and more importantly a consistent shade of silver. I honestly wouldn't even care if the silver pants were a tad darker than the helmets like they did in the 70s. But the fact that they look light blue/teal drives me insane.
  5. Agree completely it's a big upgrade. My only criticism is that every time the down+distance would flip I'd think that there was a penalty. Especially when using the bright green for the Jets. Maybe it was just me, since I'm not really used to seeing that much movement on a score bug after every play.
  6. I'm fully expecting it to be a fluke and the Browns to lay an egg on MNF against the Steelers.
  7. Seems like orange pants are almost automatic at this point for division games. Aside from when the throwback is used. Really wish they would have switched back to the white facemasks permanently.
  8. "new logo that drew several criticisms for its similarity to the Charlotte Hornets' logo." Might be one of the biggest understatements ever. That logo was a blatant ripoff of an NBA team's logo and everyone noticed it immediately. This new logo is better. But just about anything would have been. What is Delaware State's rebranding process here? Why not hire a legitimate agency/firm to create a unique identity? Seems like they desperately just wanted to create a new logo as quickly and cheaply as possible. This is a Division 1 school that put less effort into a rebranding than some High Schools I've worked with.
  9. I've always felt like replacing red with bright orange would be a great way to move away from the Oilers branding and make it more "Tennessee". Using it as an accent color, along with light blue and navy/black/charcoal could be cool.
  10. It was pretty amazing too that so many people saw those concepts and thought they were legit.
  11. I mean it's not terrible and could be a lot worse. Way better than the gator skins alts. Still completely unnecessary.
  12. Not sure what was going on with the Browns pants last night. But they seemed to be more see through than I remembered. Everyone looked they had sat in white chalk, but it was just the compression pants underneath. It was really bugging me the entire game. Did Nike switch up the pants too or are these the same ones teams have worn for years? Apologies if this has already been talked about....
  13. Not sure why, but it sort of reminds me of this meme. The Vermont logo is an upgrade. But could have been much better if it had white eyes and teeth.
  14. My first thought when I was watching the teaser video for "ViceU" I just assumed the Miami Hurricanes were about to do something incredibly stupid. I was relieved to find out it was just FIU. But man these are horrible.
  15. The NFL needs to stand their ground. The rule is that teams can only wear alternates helmets with alternate jerseys. Shouldn't be any exceptions. Do we really want the Cardinals or Commanders wearing a black helmet with red jerseys, Bears orange helmets with navy jerseys, Browns wearing white helmets with brown jerseys, etc? If the Bengals are insistent on wearing white helmets, then either use the old white CR set or make a new alternate.
  16. Yup they are holding a vote, similar to last season to pick the midfield logo. Dog, Elf, Helmet or just stripes like in 2020-21. Personally I voted for the elf since I really liked it last season. I doubt anyone is going to vote for the helmet or stripes.
  17. Looks like the Browns elf logo might not be at midfield next year. https://www.instagram.com/p/CvXo1_jrAem/ I'm guessing they go with the new Dawg Pound logo? or maybe the 1946 football? As someone who literally had a dog in the fight, this one is going to hurt bad. But I'm happy for the person who won. It's a solid logo and much better than some of the other potential options.
  18. I'm surprised they haven't already done that, or made switch hitters swap out their jersey depending on which side of the plate they are batting from.
  19. The Patriots won 6 championships in some of the worst uniforms of all time and thankfully have moved on. If they can switch uniforms, any team can.
  20. 2023 might be the best season for NFL throwbacks in a long time, if not the best season ever.
  21. We had a similar setup when I was in Akron. The branding had already been around for 10 or so years, but it was really locked down. Every team had to use the same custom font for everything. It helped that the base uniforms were built by Adidas, but sent to a local company that added the numbers, names, logos, etc. The school had more control over what was done. Overall the branding went but off the rails until last season, when a xomple overall was done. A new custom font was created and all teams, except football use it. I would assume that was a cost issue. Since that's the largest sport with the most expensive uniforms. I think you nailed it. It all boils down to how much the school and athletic department care about brand consistency. Some schools just don't care or don't think it's worth the extra time and money.
  22. Seahawks throwbacks but with the current colors/logo. Bucs current uniforms but in creamsicle. An orange version of the Browns original color rush uniforms or just orange jersey based on the current set. Eagles current uniforms but in Kelly green and silver. Definitely some interesting possibilities there off the top of my head.
  23. The Commanders and Colts have really gone full 90s NHL with their alternates and helmets. Where the alternate has nothing to do with the primary uniform or any throwback worn in history. The Browns all-brown uniforms to a lesser extent could be included too. Even with color rush, teams would alter a current template with new colors or just use a throwback uniform. These two have been completely out of the left field and feel disjointed with the home/away primaries.
  24. I only wish the Vikings would have gone with a darker purple/glossy helmet. Still a great throwback look.
