I think a solution could be to bring back the ft worth cats. Everyone loved them, and they have so much history. Also yes the name is problematic. In the early years the Rangers were used to catch slaves, and kill natives on Texan land. There’s also a KKK connection I believe. Idk y’all can read more into it. I’m a huge Rangers fan, but I’m not super connected to the actual identity we have.

These in particular though because it’s green on a rockets jersey. Just text too, no interesting logo. Pretty much went from the best ad they could get (rokit which was small, team colors, and a nice tie in for the team name) to the worst.

Yes exactly. Especially weird because if the Suns had won it’d say 1x champions, which is cool, but also shows how historically bad they’ve been. The shirt for the bucks almost detracts from the title. Why celebrate a 50 year old title in the cities biggest sports moment? Number aside it was also kinda boring to be just white with a script.

Honestly don’t believe this. All the evidence points to it happening. Unless they very recently scrapped the program (maybe because of the widespread leaks?), I don’t see why this program is dead. Most likely the “sources” told this account that the city jerseys are not going to be a mashup, and they took it to mean the program is over, not that these jerseys will exist outside of the city program.

Yeah I agree with this. Should be an earned/throwback replacement. City jerseys (even though many here hate them) have become an event unto them selves, and a cash cow for the nba every year.

The Lakers don’t necessarily have the problem that the Celtics do: They can get away with a couple tweaks here and there. Number color doesn’t matter all that much, and it looks fine to me.

Numbers need to be instantly recognizable. If you have to look for a few seconds to figure them out, no matter the size of your TV, its a bad font.
