  1. I'm a bit late, since we seem to be moving on to the Lions, but as I believe I said when the Jets confirmed they were going back to the Sack Exchange jerseys, it's pretty much a lateral move for me, maybe a slight upgrade because the lack of black on the primary home & away. I'm surprised they updated the logo, it seemed like they were gonna go straight throwback with everything. I'm not yet sure how I feel about the new jet, it looks a bit more like a jet but it also makes it look "slower." I'm looking forward to seeing the Lions, but I'm not sure the teaser tells us much yet, though. I'll probably have more to say after the official reveal.
  2. The Phillies’ City Connect cap has a pattern underneath the brim, so it’s not unprecedented for an on-field City Connect hat to have it. If anything, all of the attention given to the inside of the hat adds credence to it being the official on-field hat, in my opinion.
  3. This is the slippery slope I feared when it came to the allowing for alternate helmets. Two helmets was pushing it, but it allowed for fun throwback designs like the Bucs and Seahawks. But a third helmet design feels unnecessary for pretty much every team. At this point, they might as well allow teams to have as many helmets as they want, like it's college (not that I would endorse that). I wouldn't say I'm a hardcore traditionalist by any stretch, but the one-helmet-rule was a nice limitation that kept brands intact for the limited 17-game season and elevated helmets to a central component of the brand. Now, I can't think of any team with two helmets that would benefit from a third one.
  4. I'm so glad to see you're going through with this! And I'm honored that I could be an inspiration for it, as your original baseball series is one of my favorites that I took a lot of inspiration from myself! Boston looks great, I especially love the "Fenway Heritage" uniform, I wish that was one I could've come up with myself. I'm looking forward to following the rest of the series!
  5. As expected, I don't really have much positive to say about Philly's City Connect. The cap is pretty nice I suppose. I'm still really excited for the rest of the reveals to come.
  6. I also just wanted to note that I updated the images throughout the thread, most of it was just updates to the backgrounds for improved contrast, with a few small tweaks here & there. You can see the most updated versions of all of my designs on my portfolio website.
  7. Philadelphia Phillies City Connect I had this prepared after the Phils' jersey leaked, because to be honest, I didn't find much redeeming about it. It might be a near-copy of some earlier Sixers' City designs, but I honestly don't mind, it feels truer to Philly's history.
  8. This is random, but one thing I really appreciate about the City Connect program in MLB so far is that essentially all of the designs still have at least some team-related imagery integrated in one form or another. I think one of the reasons the NBA’s City program has gone off the rails is that, for most of the designs now, you can barely tell what team it’s for, if at all. I think some of them don’t even have any regular team logos or share the main color scheme. I’m honestly really excited for all of the reveals this year. (Not so much the Phillies tomorrow, just because, assuming the leak is real, that looks to be the worst City jersey so far, in my opinion).
  9. I’ve always liked the old-timey font It alludes to the Reds’ history as the oldest MLB franchise, and ties in well with Mr. Redleg and that 19th century aesthetic. That’s one element of the current brand I’d be sad to see go.

    MLB MULTIVERSE

Here’s a look at the real-life version of the “Florida Sox” jersey! Be on the look-out for more MLB MULTIVERSE jerseys available for sale in the near future.
  11. This is considering the new template, which isn’t what you asked, but: although I like the Twins’ home jersey slightly more than their away, on the new Nike template, the away jersey made it through relatively unscathed: since it has pinstripes, there’s no collar insert, nor are their perforations in the numbers. Unfortunately the home jersey got subjugated to both of those. That’s not factoring in the mismatching grays though, which is an absolute abomination.
  12. I forgot to mention it before, but all 30 jerseys are now up on my portfolio website. I’d be curious to know: what are your Top 5 favorite designs? Mine probably are, in no particular order: • Angels • Rockies • Tigers • Astros • Mariners
  13. I hope you enjoyed this 2nd volume of the Cooperstown Collection! This was probably one of my favorite series I've done to date. I'll be around to post my changes to this year's City Connects as they release, and then after that, who knows... Now let's enjoy Opening Day!
  14. It wouldn’t be this year, since MLB & Nike already announced the teams that would be getting a new City Connect this year, & the Diamondbacks weren’t one of them.
  15. Washington Nationals I loved the throwback the Nats wore in 2019, which was the powder blue jersey the Expos wore for a decade, from their inception in 1969 until 1979, so I referenced that here.
  16. Interesting! I did not know that. Thanks again for letting me use it!
  17. Toronto Blue Jays This jersey is inspired by the Toronto Maple Leafs: not the hockey team, but the Minor League team that existed from 1896-1967. The script was given to me by @Discrim, thank you for allowing me to use it!
  18. Texas Rangers Since I kept a red jersey in the main set for the Rangers, this was the perfect opportunity to add powder blue back into the mix, like they wore from 1976-1982.
  19. Tampa Bay Rays This design is inspired by two Tampa Minor League teams: the main design is inspired by the "Tampa Smokers" who existed from 1919-1954, and the patch is inspired by the Tampa Tarpons that existed from 1957-1988. Big thanks to @raysox for providing the font that I used!
  20. I'd be curious to see what you had in mind!
  21. St. Louis Cardinals With the help of the wonderful site cardinalsuniformsandlogos.com, this jersey is a combination of a couple of different designs the Cardinals wore in 1922.
  22. Seattle Mariners This jersey is based on the design the Seattle Pilots wore for their one year of existence in 1969.
  23. San Francisco Giants As @Discrim sort of guessed, I went with a plaid pattern inspired by what the 1916 New York Giants wore.
  24. Thanks! To answer your question: yes! It is a logo the Minor League team used, and the team threw back to in 2013, but I had to recreate it digitally.
  25. I have a strong hope/suspicion that the City Connect will be powder blue. That was the one thing I was sad to let go of with the rebrand, and I have a feeling the team feels the same way, given that powder blue is still featured in many social media graphics.
