  9. NBA branding has been a complete disaster ever since they decided to go their new uniform system. It's especially frustrating to see the T-Wolves city jersey last year, which was by far the best jersey they had in their set and a huge fan favorite, and then see whatever monstrosity is. The word mark sucks and is too low. The font on the front is ugly. It's a horribly bland minimalist uniform that they then decided to throw a Mondrian painting on top of. It's completely hideous. No T-Wolves fan would take this over what they had last year, and yet still teams will continue to shove out new poorly-done uniforms year in and year out because $$$ and compromise any shred of brand consistency they had left. It's not surprising yet still disappointing.

  13. To be quite honest I think I had a brain fart when I took Seattle, but I’ll take it. 14. Preemptive thanks for another year of hosting!! Always fun to participate in these. 15. Abbreviations on jerseys instead of the full city name are just so tacky, not to mention these are so high up on the jersey that they are almost on top of the Jumpman logo. These are pretty damn mediocre. I don't have the same pure vitriol as some people on this thread have, imo there are worse uniforms in the league (which perhaps is more of an indictment on the state of the NBA's brandings right now than anything else). I think the striping idea is alright, enough so that I think you could make a decent jersey with it if executed differently. But the BFBS, the "DET", and the weird low asymmetrical numbers scream "We wanna be different and cool!" without any rhyme or reason.
  16. The first sport that came to mind that I truly just don't care about is NASCAR. To me its drivers driving around in a loop for like 3 hours and occasionally there's a car wreck. If I had to watch a motorsport competition, I would rather watch F1 (which the "tracks" are much more interesting imo). This disdain is ironic considering I grew up about 20 minutes from Darlington Raceway, which is the only major sporting event in the area. I also share the apathy listed here for more single person sports like golf, boxing, MMA, etc. I never really grew up watching them and I can't say I exactly plan to. As was mentioned earlier, I find it easier to be invested in the history of a sport with a team model versus and individual model. Additionally I haven't really payed attention to the Olympics since Rio in 2016. Maybe it's the awkward times for EST given the past few locations, maybe it's the awful NBC coverage, or maybe it's a lot of the bigger name athletes retiring. I think I watched part of a curling match when I was at a restaurant and that's what they had on the TV and that's all I really saw of this past Winter Olympics, just didn't have a lot of interest.
  17. Amazon Prime released their graphics packages for Thursday Night Football. I’m personally a fan of the package for “smaller screens:”
  18. This is my main question as well. I love the design of the throwback uniforms, and I would prefer them to be full-time uniforms over the current set, but I never really liked the older throwback logo. It always look like someone just scratched out a chunk of the dolphin to me. I'd love to see an update of the logo, something like this concept that would still retain that classic feel yet be something a bit more modern that would not only look better as a standalone logo but also fit the rest of the league better.
  19. I actually like those Spurs unis. The side panels might be a little much, and I'm not sure how good they are gonna look on TV given the detail, but I'd still say they fall in the "fun and unique without being an overbearing mess" category, which is good for an alternate imo. That Minnesota rumored leak though....I'm praying that's fake. The mockup is some truly hideous Tetris-esque monstrosity.
  20. NBC's new scorebug was leaked ahead of the Super Bowl. Not sure how big it'll actually be, because here it looks a little big. However, I do like the new design.
  21. That white jersey is so bad. I didn’t expect competence from this franchise but somehow whatever expectations I had were too high. I’m scared to see what the pants are gonna look like. I swear if the away set has pants with the weird pseudo-Diamondbacks striping ....
  22. Local games will be on TV. I don’t know if NFL Network will still show games.
  23. Kind of a random thought: With TNF Football moving exclusively to Amazon for 2022, I imagine we’ll be getting another exclusive graphics for TNF for the first time in a long time, since they had the NFL Network branding. I have no idea what to expect so it’ll be interesting. Also hoping if NBC does change their NFL graphics, it’s not too extreme. Their current scorebug isn’t as good as the last two but they don’t need a full-on overhaul.
  24. As long as the secondary helmet stays only with designated alternate uniforms and follows the same rules as far as how frequent a team can wear them as said alternate uniforms (and safety is up to par), I have no qualms with this change. I do hope they keep the current uniform regulations in place, though. Two alternates is the perfect number and allowing alternates to be worn only 3 times is also the optimal amount. Alternate uniforms are just that and shouldn’t be shoehorned in to act as a “Home 2” jersey imo. Similarly, uniform continuity is important, and it signals brand continuity; the NFL needs to avoid the jumbled mess that the NBA and its plethora of ever-changing uniforms have become.
  25. New CBS package feels like a lateral move at best and honestly that might be pushing it. It just looks so...flat. The push for overt minimalism is played out, in my honest opinion. Not saying there shouldn't be a degree of professionalism, because there should be of course, but the 2009-2012 and the subsequent 2013-2015 packages were both better than what CBS unveiled last night. Uninspiring, especially after FOX had a massive upgrade at last year's Super Bowl.
