  1. I feel like you could take this to the next level and create the "Snow Leopards" by tweaking the panther. I'm not sure that shield thing(I honestly don't know what it is, and I apologize for being uncultured) would be fitting on a jersey. As a marketing tool, yes...but I don't see it working on a jersey. I could be wrong, though.
  2. Option A First I thought B was better, but A fits for representing a sports team over B, which would be more suited for a graphic novel. I’m not really feeling the cartoony look of your “ship monster” for lack of a better term. You’ve proven that you are more than able to make quality content, so I really think he needs to me more menacing and you could pull it off obviously. It’s all a matter of you choosing to do so. He (the ship monster) needs meaner eyes and losing the horns was a bad choice. Again, just my 2 cents. Your Viking is great and whichever one you pick, I respectfully say you shouldn’t mess with him anymore.
  3. These are all so clean and well done. There’s really nothing else to say but this is how it’s done if you want teams to have their own styles, yet keep it professional.
  4. ****I didn't realize that your primary logo had a grey outline in it, so disregard my notion of having "a black outline" With that said, here are my recommendations: A - Original Image B - This is what I was talking about when I mentioned straightening up the pole for the flag. What I really meant was to have the pole look more natural. In the original, it seems to awkwardly shoot straight out. In this picture (B) I tried to follow the natural curve from the flag. Something like this, I'm sure you would agree, makes it look better. C - I switched everything to the colors from your Viking-head Primary logo. D - Addition recommended changes. The reason I recommend this is to have the Primary and Secondary logos have a similar color balance so they look like they belong to the same logo set. (Will post comparison pictures) E - I highlighted these additional changed from (D) 1 - Remove this shape. 2 - Change from grey to black. 3 - Change from white to grey. 4 - Change from blue to grey - - - - - A - Your Primary with the original Secondary. B - Primary and Secondary color-matched and recommended changes. Like I mentioned above, my idea was to give both logos an even amount of the same colors with as little changes as possible, not just to swap colors for the sake of it. - - - - - Remember, these are just recommendations, so do with them what you will. One last thing is in my opinion and based on me going through and messing around with stuff........the best color scheme would be: Original Dark Blue Original Light Blue Your version of Grey (maybe just a tad shade lighter...) ...along with the obvious black and white unchanged. The best bet would be to try all the different color combos and find what looks best.
  5. Maybe a little bit thicker for the new grey mustache? I love all the changes except the infamous “grey on the right side of the face.” I think if you put it back the way it was, but make those scratches (dunno what else to call them) that are around the outside (like in the white side) bigger and more defined, it will look more natural and part of his face instead of a grey blotch. I really wish somebody else would come along and explain better what I mean. I could just be overthinking it though, I’m really just offering my viewpoint so take it with a grain of salt. - - - - With that said, I was telling myself that the secondary logo would look a lot better with a black outline. I did a Google search and found a .svg file with the black outline!! www.logos-download.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/WWU_Vikings_logo_ship.svg I was able to take the pole from the big flag (all the way to the left) and straighten it up (it really bothers me that it doesn’t look natural...i can post a picture later today or tomorrow if you want to see what I mean...) Then I would match all the colors: -Use your grey -Use your dark blue - I noticed that your light blue and the light blue from the secondary that you posted (the one with the grey outline) didn’t match. So I would change your light blue and the NEW secondary light blue to match the light blue from the original secondary you posted) I’m sorry if my posts are long-winded but I really dig your concept here and I hope you don’t mind all my input.
  6. I want to focus on the primary here. Just some minor tweak suggestions... - Add more of the light blue to the left part of the image where the horn comes out from the helmet (change from dark blue to light blue). - Change the hair tie colors from white (left) and grey (right) to light blue. - Thicken the light blue ‘reflection’ that’s next to the thickest white reflection on the helmet (to add more light blue to the image.) - I don’t think you need the grey in the mostly white part of the face (Meaning directly under the eye, and right above the mustache) - I also don’t think the grey part of the lip needs to be grey, all white would be fine. - I don’t love the grey detail under the eye (right side of the image). To me it just looks like a blotch, and needs some wrinkle / hair detail like you did with the big portion on the left. - Maybe add some of the mustache detail to the right side also?
  7. Can you place the source uniforms for your Reverse Retro presentation(s) somewhere? I don't think you need to get fancy, but just placing the pictures next to / above / under would IMO be greatly appreciated. Here is the Cougars one that influenced your Redwings Reverse Retro in case anyone wanted to see.
  8. I figured since the logo doesn’t directly include sports I would put this here and get some feedback... A few buddies of mine located here in the suburbs of New Jersey started a podcast and mentioned that they would be interested in changing / upgrading their logo. The name of the podcast is Talk of the City. I haven’t exactly listened to a whole lot of their stuff but I know they mostly talk Philly sports, music, beer. Basically a variety of topics. Onto the progression of my concept, but first I do have a disclaimer: The images used in my work-in-progress version(s) come from a site called www.thenounproject.com They are not officially licensed to me as of yet. They are strictly being used by me for conceptual purposes at this moment and I take no credit with the actual creation of any specific design. I only take credit for minor tweaks, resizing, positioning etc... so I hope that’s clear. If I do go forward with using any of the items for their official logo, I will take the proper steps in the copyright process. —————— Okay with that out of the way let’s start with their current logo: (I’m pretty sure they’re going to want to stick with the colors, so that’s not something I’m going to change.) —————— My concept 01 - With Headphones —————— My concept 02 - Without Headphones
  9. The ones I consider the best, which could immediately become secondary logos with little / no changes (in alphabetical order) are: Boston Chicago Minnesota New Jersey New York Rangers Philadelphia Vegas Washington
  10. Dude. I had this exact. same. idea. I just had a generic goalie in mind (So I guess not "exact same idea" but yeah), and also I'm not really that great at the artistic / creation side of graphic design. I just get ideas. Anyway I love this more than I can even say, it's perfect and I want one (Will be purchasing this after Friday)
  11. I have no critiques on any of these except to switch the Rams Home and Home Alternate. They’re all great, even Dallas...and I’m an Eagles fan.
  12. Starting with the logo. I think you should shorten the line(s) coming from the eye. The one for the mouth also seems off...like it doesn’t represent a mouth IMO, but I’m not sure how to suggest adjusting it... I agree about the grey, and I also feel that the horns on the shoulders are unnecessary. With that said I do like the way the horns look on both the logo and helmets, and the overall idea for the logo is great compared to what the team came up with. Your version (minus my edit suggestions) is superior.
  13. It’s clear that you have the skills and the face is the best part of this IMO. But... He looks too much like a devil character to me especially due to the red skin. My thoughts on the other details: - The mustache looks more like smoke to me and doesn’t need to be prominent to the overall silhouette. - I think the left side of the hat should have more white in it instead of showing the underneath as much. - The hat is a little too limp (for lack of a better term). I would just tighten it up some to give the logo some more confidence. - I would definitely mess around with different color combinations.
  14. I made the lines and fonts slightly bigger for Columbus. I get what everyone is saying about adding red and even though it might make the uniforms pop a little more, I plan to darken the blue for the New York Rangers and I feel that both teams would wind up looking too similar. Columbus loses seniority in this case so that played a huge part in my decision to remove the red. This is especially something I want to avoid with teams in the same division (Boston and Pittsburgh will probably be my only exception due to the long history of both teams.) Red will however, be prominent in the alternate uniforms. I hope everyone gets where I'm coming from here...
  15. Revised Ottawa and Florida. Mostly color changes. I went with a darker red for Florida because I feel like the uniforms are reminiscent of the Canadiens. I figure Montreal would have seniority in this situation therefore keeping the bright red, and the Panthers will have a darker one.
  16. I’m not 100% sure what you mean by tail stripe, but I’m guessing you mean any stripe at the bottom of the jersey? I started off with red but felt the blue looked better, so I will make the blue the eventual alternate and change the home back to red. Also can you or anyone tell me if the red used for Florida looks RED or ORANGE... It come off as red on my laptop but seems orange on my phone and tv. I tried calibration on my laptop but can’t seem to come to a final conclusion there.
  17. Added the Florida Panthers... Seems I'm getting a good amount of views, but no C&C. I hope people like these, even if nobody is "liking" the post. Either way, I'm having fun working on these.
  18. Really like this, but I think he’s just a tad bit too orange-y. I think a couple shades darker would be better. I don’t think you have any issues with the fur, only that his arms / hands could use some of the same fur-type effect that you put into the legs and face. I’d personally say you’re 95% of the way there so please don’t mess with it too much.
  19. Option 01 is my pick. I think it’s a very nice start nice but needs to be stretched vertically, looks like it is being pressed down by something.
  20. Edited to create a totally different layout. Was hoping for some feedback but I know things are crazy for literally everyone right now.
