I think the UConn ones are weird because they have copies of their banners at the XL Center in Hartford where other pro teams play. So they wanted a banner that said UConn that also distinguished what sport it was for as well as if it was the men's or women's team.

    Yeah, more or less.

I will say, the UConn banners are super consistent, and I appreciate that. (Not featured, the Whalers and Wolf Pack banners.)

Critical defensive injuries, stagnant offense, and the crippling realization that Bill needed Tom more than Tom needed Bill.

As well as atrocious play calling. 2nd and 15? HB draw for 3 yards. 3rd and 2? Air it out 20+ yards. It’s becoming painfully predictable and I don’t know how they aren’t losing games by more.

  3. As a Bruins fan, I much prefer the Reebok jerseys to the Adidas ones. I really did like the three color numbers and feel like the two color numbers on the Adidas jerseys don't really pop as much. It almost looks incomplete, especially next to the sleeve striping.

I love the Bruins current set of uniforms, but yes, the Meth Bear era still rules in regards to simplicity.

Celtics back on their bull:censored: and refusing to guard Caleb Martin. It's over.

That’s the least of their problems. You can’t have one of your best players turn the ball over 8 times and the other not do much of anything either.

Pace all the chaos talk, pretty much every Final is "team with more eventual Hall of Famers wins." The only time that hasn't happened in recent memory was when the Blues won, which makes three dumbfounding chokes for Bergeron and Marchand, now that I think about it.

You could also include 2010 (Marchand didn’t play, Bergeron did) when the Bruins choked away a 3-0 series lead to the Flyers and 2012 when they completely come out flat (again) in a home game seven in the first round as defending champions.

  6. The Bruins beat themselves. As much as I want to say the Panthers played better and shut down the Bruins, they didn't. Did they work harder, yes, but the Bruins seemingly changed their entire play style for this series. You are the best team in the league. You do not change your system, other teams change their systems to play you. The Bruins lost game two, and the entire city and franchise freaked out. New lines, new playing style. Unfortunately, that play style involved nothing but self-inflicted wounds. You can't consistently turn the puck over and expect to win. You can't consistently be unable to make 2 consecutive clean passes and expect to win. You can't consistently not hold onto a lead and expect to win. You can't loose three straight home games and expect to win. Good luck to Florida.

Today's game was a microcosm of everything that has happened in this series. NOBODY wanted to go balls to wall (expect Tyler Bertuzzi, probably) and make a mistake. They never looked comfortable on the ice tonight and everyone looked absolutely petrified. I think the most frustrating part of today's game was Charlie McAvoy. He had a historically bad game. It was, without a doubt, the worst single performance I've ever seen out of a hockey player. That is your #1 defenseman; choking completely under the big lights.

As far as Boston sports losses, this is #2 behind the Patriots/Giants Super Bowl.
