  1. BTW, here's a damn good read about a fake jersey situation. The guy who's defending the fakes sounds exactly like the people on here defending them as well.
  2. That doesn't really look like a knockoff to me, as much as it looks like a fashion jersey for kids.
  3. Agreed. He's got some good designs, too. I'm thinking of making some jerseys or shirts out of his logos, selling them and keeping all the money! Pretty sweet, eh?
  4. And then you put it in the washing machine and start to see the true integrity of the jersey.
  5. Not really. BlueSky had simply posted on the previous page that he believed the only reason to have an exclusive license is to simply take advantage of the consumer and raise prices. He also used the old comparison of 2K Sports and EA Sports 2005 football games as an example of his claim, while Ice and I refuted that claim by stating the other reasons why the NFL would want exclusive licensing agreements with other companies. That's all. It still goes back to this - this is a board for people who enjoy sports logos. Sports and logos. So why would you support something where the profits go to neither? It makes absolutely no sense. I'm going to try not to say things that have already been said a thousand times in this thread, but it's wrong to buy counterfeit jerseys. When you decide what sports team you like you're not automatically entitled to anything. Not tickets, not hats, not jerseys. If you're talking about my support of Madden, then that's because making the 2K Sports/EA Sports argument in a thread about Sports and Logos is not only off-base, but irrelevant to this discussion. Personally, a pet-peeve of mine is when people start an argument or discussion about a topic and then introduce something that's unrelated, because of their obvious hatred of that unrelated item. Especially when that item isn't bad, nor is it the main reason why exclusive licensing is a bad thing. Like I said before, I didn't start the discussion of video games, it was BlueSky. I've mostly kept quiet and enjoyed looking at some of the terrible counterfeit jerseys pictured in this thread, but I'm not going to stay quiet after a stupid and unrelated remark like that. BBTV said it the best, it's a business, and those kind of agreement are also made to not "cheapen" the NFL's brand. I understand the arguments for both sides, but I'm not going to standby and watch as someone makes a stupid statement like that, when it fits under the aforementioned qualities. By the way, I don't endorse counterfeit jerseys, nor do I think I'm entitled to have a ticket, hat, or jersey, so I'm not sure where you're getting that from. That wasn't directed towards you. It was a general statement to those who think it's ok to support intellectual property theft. One question for the people complaining, though, about the price of the jerseys on the current marketplace - how many times have you guys contacted the jersey suppliers and aired your grievances about the price?

  7. We're arguing video games and counterfeit jerseys now? That's like arguing apples and pineapples. Sure, they sound similar, but they're totally different.
  8. They're only $20 ($30 for NHL) compared to the real deal, it's much better. I've never bought a counterfeit, only replicas, but I know people who have and they have no complaints at all about them. Really, its worth saving the money, especially for college kids. Coming from a college kid, the "I'm in college, so buying a counterfeit jersey is ok" argument is invalid.
  9. But you don't understand! They're so much cheaper! Who cares if it's illegal!
  10. Sean Taylor isn't doing any writing anytime soon. Actually, he's not doing much of anything anytime soon.
  11. Blackhawk fakes can be spotted from a million miles away. I'm guessing the name font is wrong and they didn't get the 1 right and the Captian's C is incorrect too. And the Blackhawk logo is probably Larry Bird-colored, too.
  12. But it's so much cheaper! Who cares that it's horribly inaccurate and the jersey material will start to deteriorate after one trip through the washing machine! Look! It even has the "AUTHENTIC" MLB patch on the bottom right! It's obviously real and so much cheaper!
  13. Again, just because your a fan of a team, doesn't mean your entitled to a jersey of said team. If you can't afford one/don't want to buy one, buy a t-shirt instead. Supporting stealing though isn't the answer, especially on a message board like this. We all love sports and we all love logos - so why would we support something where all the finances don't go to the team we say we love so much?
  14. and what I am saying for all intents and purposes is, I dont have a counterfit and got it for cheaper than the ridiculous prices they want to sell them for here. I really dont give a damn what angle brass and bringback are trying to argue. The original Question is- Thinking about getting- and I think you should because you can get a decent product not paying an arm and a leg and its better than Americas stupid idea of a replica football jersey thats made like a hanky with iron on numbers. all the rah-rah USA- its against the law argument is pointless and doesnt mean crap because they have been doing it for ever in plain site and the NFL and M&N cant do crap about it. False. If you bought it from the website you claim you did, then I can almost guarantee that it's a fake. The same website which also advertises obvious fake jerseys.
  15. Then quite frankly, you are one of the dumber people on this site. Most people who purchase these things know why it's wrong, they just choose for whatever reason to do it anyway. If you really don't see what the problem is here, then I really hope you sterilize yourself so that you don't pollute our gene pool by making dumb babies. your comment is somewhat pointless. I have a real Mitchell N Ness. I just cut out the middle man. If it were crap, I would tell you so. What's really pointless is your rambling about your "authentic" Mitchell & Ness jersey without providing us a picture of it. Fair, but as someone on here pointed out a while back, being a college student isn't an excuse - no one is entitled to a jersey of their favorite team.
  16. This has the NHL tags on the sleeve. Must mean it's real, right? whats your point ? what I have is an actual Mitchell N Ness product. I got it from the people that make it for them without paying the rediculuos price from Mitchell N Ness. My point is that you got the jersey from a website which advertises nothing but fake jerseys. Then, you ordered something and assumed it was authentic because it had the "Mitchell and Ness" tags. Just because it has tags, doesn't mean it's real. I'm sorry to say, but your jersey is most likely fake and you'll soon see exactly what you paid for.
  17. This has the NHL tags on the sleeve. Must mean it's real, right?
  18. Oh, you would! I was at the Boston Bruins Legends Game (day after the Winter Classic) and some people had the real jerseys, while others had the knockoffs of the Winter Classic Bruins jersey. The fakes stood out like a sore thumb in comparison.
  19. Billy Joel also a banner at the XL Center in Hartford. BTW, Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden is one of the best musical experiences you'll ever have. Not going to see a musical act because they hang banners up of their attendance accomplishments might be the most stupid reason I've ever heard. I could see if you don't like their music, but not going because of a banner? Idiotic, in a word.
  20. There was some guy who made them, but he was a scam. Ask spyboy, about that one....
  21. This is quite odd. Kovalchuk wearing an old-style CCM Center Ice jersey for practice? Even has the old NHL logo on the patch. I thought they were disbanded when RBK took over?
  22. Ducks propose contract to Koivu & agent. Koivu & agent accept, sign contract. Koivu a Duck.
  23. Why is their a blackhawk logo in the top right corner? Was either traded or signed as a free agent in the offseason when the cards were being printed.
