  1. I see one of three things happening here ... 1) The Angels build a new stadium near the current park with city funding (partial, all, etc). 2) The Angels move to Downtown LA (is the convention center where State Farms Field was going to be built open?) 3) The Angels con a local LAC or OC city to build them a stadium or give them a sweetheart deal. I wouldn't be surprised if the Angels did move to Downtown LA if Anaheim pursued a MLB team like the A's or Rays to play in a renovated or new park (at the Big A location). Do you think Vegas could get another Bay Area team? The Vegas A's?
  2. NBA has gotten rid of that, it's top 8 regardless of record.
  3. My rules of baseball nicknames ... MLB: Go traditional, no funny business (the reason why everyone hated Devil Rays). AAA: Go traditional, you can get a little original but Storm Chasers or Baby Cakes should not be allowed in AAA. Names related to the parent club are cool, but no Iowa Cubs or Omaha Royals please. AA: Traditional is preferred, but original nicknames get a pass. Names like Baby Cakes, Biscuits, RubberDucks, Rumble Ponies work here. But, still prefer a bit more traditional.Again no parent club nicknames. A/Rookie: Whatever goes -- Orem Owlz, Everett AquaSox, Fort Wayne Tin Caps. Even parent club nicknames -- Helena Brewers, Grand Junction Rockies or Staten Island Yankees. That said, I can live with the Trash Pandas. Just not sure about Rocket City?
  4. It's unfortunate that they're downgrading to Double A, but the Southern League does sound like a much better situation for NOLA. I just HOPE they don't take the Baby Cakes name with them. I would assume they might revert back to the Zephyrs possibly? It's too bad they can't go with the Pelicans.
  5. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. In fact, I like the crossover for markets that allow it.
  6. I would say DeMar in a Spurs jersey is more wrong than Leonard in a Raptors. But, then again ... who knows how Leonard will be in one?

  8. That just looks like a Chinese rip off jersey.
  9. Well, then we're holding you solely responsible ...
  10. For the NFL I don't think it's necessary, but if I am watching College Football I like having the W-L record on the bug along with ranking if it's applicable.
  11. Well, that's a confusing looking game. From my assessment this is a preseason game held at the Capital Centre in Landover, MD in 1980 since the 1980-81 season was the only full season Lucas played with the Nets and the Bullets hosted a preseason tournament in the 80s.
  12. I spot this in another thread, but what caught my eye was Chris Webber's jersey compared to Ben Wallace (I believe it's him since JR Rider is on Portland). I believe this was a pre-season game since the Bullets did this with their numbers and NOB during that time frame during the 90s.
  13. Agreed. That's basically a crotch level view.
  14. Buuuuuuut ... he was an All-Star with the Hawks. I would say Hawks.
  15. I find this odd in the sense of seeing Terry Cummings in #34 on the 76ers. Even if Barkley wasn't retired yet, but it's odd seeing another Sixer in #34 number post Barkley's Sixer tenure.
