  1. So the AFC South is a total toss-up once again. I'd say as long as DeShaun Watson is playing at this level, the Texans are probably the favorites to win the division. I'm not sold on Jacksonville at all and Tennessee has been way too inconsistent so far. Even if Andrew Luck gets back on the field soon it's probably going to be a while before he's back to 100%.
  2. He threw for 154 yards and three interceptions yesterday. That's why I said "if he continues to struggle." There's a reason he was a fifth round draft pick coming out of UCLA. He has accuracy issues and doesn't see the field very well, as evident by yesterday's performance. Explain the rationale behind the Browns' decision to sign a washed-up RGIII last year but refusing to sign Kaep this year. Why did one of them get a second chance after being dumped by the Skins but the other (who opted out) didn't? I'll give you a hint: it has nothing to do with football-related decision-making. If Colin Kaepernick had been cut after the 2015 season, he'd have landed with another team. There is no legitimate explanation for why he isn't on a roster right now other than the fact that he peacefully protested during the national anthem and that offended some people, including NFL owners.
  3. So you'd roll with Brett Hundley the rest of the season? Both of Green Bay's backup QB have a combined five years of experience and 44 career pass attempts between them. What about the fact that Kaepernick played in a West coast offense under Jim Harbaugh? He has more experience in that offense than Hundley does to this point, and he's significantly more talented. Would you not at least bring him in as a backup in case Hundley continues to struggle? That's hilarious. Kaepernick isn't on an NFL roster because, in your words, teams and scouts have seen a "decline in skills". Then how do you explain why Matt freakin' Schaub still has a job? He's so good that he's managed to be traded/cut by three teams in five years.
  4. If you were a Packers fan, who would you rather have starting at quarterback: Brett Hundley or Colin Kaepernick?
  5. This is going to be interesting: https://www.si.com/nfl/2017/10/15/colin-kaepernick-files-greivance-owner-collusion-cba
  6. As long as the current one-helmet rule is still in effect in 2019, I don't think we'll get to see throwbacks for every AFL team. But I'm crossing my fingers and hoping they'll change the rule before then. The 50th anniversary season was awesome. Even the throwback referee uniforms were great.
  7. Philadelphia vs. Carolina Miami vs. Atlanta Cleveland vs. Houston Detroit vs. New Orleans Green Bay vs. Minnesota Chicago vs. Baltimore New England vs. NY Jets San Francisco vs. Washington Tampa Bay vs. Arizona LA Rams vs. Jacksonville LA Chargers vs. Oakland Pittsburgh vs. Kansas City NY Giants vs. Denver Indianapolis vs. Tennessee
  8. They should just ignore the NFL and keep wearing the throwbacks for the rest of their home games. FIGHT THE POWER!
  9. Seriously, are the networks contractually obligated to cut to a shot of Bob Kraft or Jerry Jones every time their teams score a touchdown?
  10. New England vs. Tampa Bay Buffalo vs. Cincinnati NY Jets vs. Cleveland Carolina vs. Detroit San Francisco vs. Indianapolis Tennessee vs. Miami LA Chargers vs. NY Giants Arizona vs. Philadelphia Jacksonville vs. Pittsburgh Baltimore vs. Oakland Seattle vs. LA Rams Green Bay vs. Dallas Kansas City vs. Houston Minnesota vs. Chicago
  11. The Eagles went out and signed Michael Vick, a guy who had been out of football for two years while serving a prison sentence, to be their third string quarterback in 2009. I would argue that Kaepernick has been a far better QB in his career up to this point than Vick was when the Eagles signed him. And yet, Kaepernick can't even get the same opportunity a convicted dog murderer was given. Maybe that's a poor comparison for me to make, but I think it's B.S. to believe Kaepernick's so-called "baggage" outweighs his talent. You can't tell me that Kaepernick wouldn't be a better signing for a team like the Titans than Brandon freakin' Weeden.
  12. Looks like the Rockies aren't dead yet. 6-4 game.
  13. Is there any word on whether TNT will be updating their NBA graphics package this season? I wish they would add a little more flavor ala team logos into their scoring bug. And I totally agree with you @TheBigFiz21, the 2002-2005 NBA on TNT graphics were amazing. I also really liked ESPN's NBA graphics during that same time period.
  14. I think they stopped doing the piling leaves/snow thing a few years ago but I liked it as well, I wish there was a way for them to bring that back. My favorite era was when they had the christmas lights representing each team's timeouts.
  15. The Suns' new uniforms looked really good tonight.
  16. I like the idea of a wild card doubleheader format. Then again, if the better wild card team drops the first game but wins the second one, I can see how that might be unfair for that team to have to burn through their two best starting pitchers before facing the #1 seed in the LDS.
  17. How is letting team captains choose their own teams going to make these guys play defense? Isn't that the whole point of changing the format, because the league doesn't want to see these teams try and run up the score to 200? Personally, I don't care whether these All-Star games are competitive or not. It's an exhibition match. But if the whole point is to make them more competitive, I don't see how this solves anything.
  18. That looks like an off-brand jersey you'd find in the discount rack at Macy's. Good Lord, the Wolves look more like a Euro team than they do an NBA team. Awful.
  19. They need to adopt this look full-time. I don't really have a strong opinion on their regular home/road set, but whenever they break these fauxbacks out I immediately notice how much better they look compared to what they usually wear. Even if they brought the red helmets back full-time, I'd be fine with it.
  20. I can't tell if you're joking...
  21. Well, they are the Bills so... I've learned never to get too excited about a fast start (see 2003, 2008 and 2011 seasons). But this Bills team is much better than I thought they'd be and kudos to Sean McDermott for fixing a defense that had been broken under Rex Ryan the last two years. The real test for them will be next week in Cincy, where I fully expect them to lay an egg in typical Bills fashion coming off a big win. On a side note, I think I've picked only one game correctly so far today.
  22. God bless you, Tom Coughlin! Can the Jags just call it a do-over and go back to the unis they wore circa 2008 (including bringing back the old logo)? Problem solved.
