  1. I hate the Detroit Tigers home uniforms. Classic chest-D or 2018-present cap-D on the jerseys. I don’t know what it is about them, but I just don’t like them. That being said, I have no idea how I’d fix them either. Maybe a Tigers script, and/or include orange? IDK, but for some reason I just don’t like their home set and can’t put my finger on why.
  2. And it looks awful. The helmet should never be the lightest colored element when wearing different colored helmet/jersey/pants
  3. So, if I’m hearing this right, it: 1) doesn’t matter if one team wears the uniforms you’re comparing as the primary and the other as an alternate 2) the color scheme doesn’t matter 3) and the coloring of one of the most noticeable pieces of the uniform doesn’t matter Yet you consider them to be similar? I’m truly confused as to what you’re getting at, as I don’t see the similarities in the slightest
  4. I’m not seeing that comparison at all. Both have navy blue and orange, but Seattle adds green. Both have side panels on the jersey, but Seattle uses green as opposed to Denver’s orange. Most significant though, Seattle has a white helmet, which is COMPLETELY different than Denver. The only similarity between the two is that they have a navy-based jersey with white numbers outlined in orange. Even then, that’s only Denver’s alternate, not primary
  5. Absolutely. It’s extremely unfortunate they decided to emphasize black so much from the neck down
  6. I mean, it definitely could look nice on the helmet, but why would they do that and abandon the best helmet in the league?
  7. I’ve thought this since the uniforms were revealed and seeing them in action has definitely not changed my mind: St Louis has the best look in the league. Just beautiful
  8. This was a nice, unique helmet: Numbers on the sides (both sides) and it would’ve been perfect
  9. And from the head up, nothing separates the Broncos, Bears, or Texans, other than decals. The decals ARE there, so pretending they aren’t just for the sake of argument is pointless
  10. Not really an unpopular opinion about uniforms, but about a phrase used to describe them: Calling things “__F__S”, AKA “[Insert term] for [insert term]’s sake,” is dumb. It was sorta okay when it was just BFBS (even though I still didn’t love that terminology), but now I’ll see people use that style of abbreviation with tons of random stuff it really doesn’t need applied to. When you have to follow up the abbreviation with what it stands for, is it really worth using?
  11. Uhhh... I don’t think that selling apparel has any impact on your knowledge of the word “generic.” You said the replica jersey was generic. Generic would imply that there’s nothing setting this jersey apart from other teams and that’s just not true Unique team colors that help establish which team it is? Team wordmark, further establishing an identity? Design that isn’t used by another team in the league? These jerseys are not generic
  12. Ehhh... Part of me says you’re right, but another part of me is still holding out hope. With how this is being marketed as a more “back to its roots” version of football, I could totally see the uniforms being on the more traditional side with classic triple striping patterns or simple logos on sleeves with no stripes. That said, if I’m placing bets I’d still put my money on “flashy to the point most of us will call it ugly.”
  13. Not like a super big deal, just kinda.... odd. I’ve been getting two ads at the bottom of my screen overlapping each other: Like I said, not something that I’m overly concerned with, it’s just kinda weird
  14. I’ve had a few dark days with my teams, but there’s only been one thing that was bad enough to make me give up on my team, and an entire league: the day LeBron signed in LA. I haven’t watched a minute of an NBA game since. While my interest in the NBA had greatly diminished after Kobe retired and the whole season becoming, more or less, simply there to decide which teams Golden State and Cleveland would beat in the playoffs, I had started to get attached to the young guys on the Lakers who were beginning to show promise during the 2017-18 season. But then they signed LeBron and all of a sudden all the guys I had grown to like were simply dumped so he could bring in his friends. It made me realize the NBA isn’t a league where players are even remotely loyal to their teams or fans, they'd rather catch the next flight to a “super team” to play with their friends instead of working to build up the team they’re currently on. I know this won’t be popular, but I don’t care. Just my opinions that I needed to get off my chest.
  15. Welp, this didn't take long to get shot down... https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28014633/chargers-owner-dean-spanos-says-london-relocation-report-bs
  16. I really don’t get why the NFL is pushing London so much. Travel would be absolutely awful and I doubt the games sell as many tickets as the current London games because as soon as the newness wears off, ticket sales will plummet, especially if the team doesn’t have immediate success (which, in my opinion, would be nearly impossible with the travel demands on the players—if everyone is exhausted from traveling it will have a negative impact on performance)
  17. As a Broncos fan, I really want to like this concept, but the double blue just doesn’t do it for me. I’ve seen several different concepts try it, but it doesn’t quite work, in my opinion. I’d suggest picking just one shade (personally, I’d like something about halfway between royal and navy blue).
  18. Not a change, but an interesting list my school Tweeted out: Crazy that We were almost the Omaha Unicorns. Kinda makes me wonder how that would’ve been done, like would it be a corn pun? Hol up... heading on over to concepts
  19. I like those last two, especially love the stars on the jerseys, but prefer the one in the current color scheme. The number font seems inspired by UConn’s
  20. Guys, guys, guys... Why not just agree that some helmets look good with a gray facemask, while others look better with a colored mask? It doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing
  21. No. Side note: When did this site turn into a guessing game?
  22. I’m all for unifying across sports, but they chose the wrong gold. Should’ve gone metallic gold across everything
  23. Huh, I haven’t posted my teams in here so I guess I might as well. NFL: Denver Broncos. They’re my dad’s favorite team and it’s how I was raised. Hell, I was named after Jake Plummer (even though he was at Arizona State when I was born, my dad really wanted him to replace John Elway after his retirement. Lucky he ended up in Denver eventually lol) MLB: New York Yankees. There’s no local team in Nebraska so I picked based on who I could watch on TV most often. Sue me. NCAA Sports: UNO Mavericks. I’m at school there now. Nebraska Cornhuskers. No explanation needed. Always cheer for UNO in head to head matchups though. Duke Blue Devils. I was 5 and after school I’d go to my grandparents’ house and when I got there they’d usually be watching reruns of The Dukes of Hazzard (Still one of my favorite TV shows, tbh) and when my dad asked me to fill out a bracket I picked Duke because I associated them with a good TV show. Here we are 14 years later and I’ve picked them 14 of 14 times NASCAR: Always been a Tony Stewart fan. My uncle was too and he was who got me into racing during Tony’s 2005 championship season. Now that he’s retired I still support Stewart-Haas Racing, but for drivers, I’ve followed Chase Elliott since he was running ARCA and Ryan Blaney has such a fun personality that I really like him too. And as much as I hate to admit it, Kyle Busch has really grown on me the last two or three seasons. Other things of note: Can’t get into the NHL. I enjoy watching UNO hockey games in person, but I can’t get myself to watch hockey on TV. I’ve moved away from the NBA in recent years. Was a Kobe Bryant fan back in the day, but the whole “super team” era really hurt my interest. I got back in a little more last year when the Lakers had a bunch of fun rookies, but when LeBron signed I jumped ship and haven’t seen a minute of the NBA since. No, I don’t miss it. For NCAA teams, I could easily put down a ton more schools if I counted every team I liked to some degree. Hell, I could put half the SEC just from family that went there.
