Here's my color-v-color rivalry match hot take: it only works for USC/UCLA because the Coliseum used to be the home venue for both teams. I don't like it for Oregon/Oregon St., I don't like it for Utah/BYU, and I wouldn't like it for Ohio St./Michigan.

They know that Chicago isn't the capital of Illinois, right?

The Panthers looked really good. I'm happy to see the blue pants mixed into the set, and if the team does switch to black helmets permanently, it'll look even better. I don't want the team to make changes, but if they do, I wouldn't mind the direction they've taken.

That is butt-ugly. The hardwood pattern is not doing it for me.

That looks fantastic, I love the added color it brings. The orange yoke really makes it work.

I like the alternate a lot for BYU. I'd love to see more of that custom font as well.

I like the throwbacks for USC. Not sure I want them to be a fulltime alternate, but as a one-off for Homecoming I think it's fun. The current set is still better.

I really like Army's set. The only thing I don't like is the backwards flag but that's a nod to the Army's actual uniforms, right? So I suppose it makes sense. I'm not really feeling the addition of black to West Virginia. If you could find a way to incorporate it into the white set it would feel more natural but I think it would be best restricted to the alt. I'd also like to see something in the sleeves - the Country Roads had that map of WV sublimated in and I think that would add a lot of depth to the design. I love the changes to Texas, it feels perfect for the state and the team.

I cannot stress to you how little Hornets fans would like to see Bobcats nods. They were an aberration, something that never should've existed, and I'm more than happy to let them lay dead. No, they were green to match the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, whose primary color is green. Charlotte was home to the U.S.' first-ever branch mint following the region's gold rush, hence the gold and mint. Black makes a nice dark color to separate the bright mint and gold.

The navy helmet might be the least offensive thing on that Capitals set. With the red "underyoke" or whatever maybe a red helmet would look better.

I think these are all pretty good, except for the faux beveling on the numbers. The only one that I think works is Boston's. Minnesota's set is definitely my favorite.

I like it on the orange more, personally.

Love the returning bandana pattern! I'll echo what Section30 said about the script Cowboys, as well.

I have to say I'm not huge on the change to the Serpentine font for K-State. As a racing fan, I've seen Serpentine way too much. I definitely like black numbers more. The striping changes are lateral, I do enjoy Brasher stripes but consistency is good too. The lavender alt is fun, I'd like to see them do something like that in real life.
